Thrills & Chills Bash

From taking caution of drinks to taking to the dance floor with @AngelFyre McCubbin
"Whatever you desire should be yours," he said, speaking of the vampire cookie but still found it a little odd. Honestly, it was probably no different than a gingerbread man though and he'd let her delete in it if she chose. Who was he to stop a woman on a mission?
What she didn't wait for was some hot chocolate and he would let her partake in that alone, feeling rather confident that her cup wouldn't turn into a rat or a spider out looking to release some anger. As he watched her take a drink, just as a precaution, he overheard Haley's voice and glanced around for the redhead only to be confused until he found her, with platinum blonde hair. How he hoped that was just temporary because why she'd change that was beyond him. He would only give her as much time as it took to find her and solve the mystery of 'where is she' and then he tuned her out. He had tried, to no avail, to keep a friendship between them. He knew where he stood and so be it. Besides, he could never complain about the way things had ultimately turned out.
He had, as AngelFyre put it, the epitome of sublime female beauty standing before him. She was the epitome of so much goodness. What he did have was someone who truly had rendered his senses senseless time and time again and that was no exaggeration.
"Frankenstein's monster, dance we shall," he said, now emulating something like Yoda from Star Wars. He really needed to stop this. He lead her over where there was an open area for dancing. If they had something like the Monster Mash playing, he would know that, and same with for Thriller. The boy could moonwalk too, but maybe not so much in those current shoes of his. Dancing was AngelFyre's specialty, so he'd let her choose their rhythm and style and he would parallel her.
Be kind to one another. (*iNPC is Miles Thatcher)

Trying to get a Flash Mob to Dance to Thriller with @Simon Kincaid and AngelFyre McCubbin
Open to Interactions:
Grabbing his hand, they made their way out onto the empty dance floor. Would not be the first time. Something she had happily learned from Simon was that if you enjoyed doing something, do it like no one was watching.... or listening. It was a well established fact that AngelFyre could not sing her way out of a paper bag, so when it came to her singing, she really did refrain from subjecting unsuspecting folks to that ear splitting trauma, no matter how wonderfully wise her boyfriend's advice had been. Dancing, however, well that was a horse of a different color. Her only problem there had not been lack of talent but a lack of self-confidence.
She was not joking when she told him earlier that this music was not exactly easy to dance to, and then, as if by some divine Halloween stroke of providence, her ears were unmistakably picking up the opening notes to Michael Jackson's Thriller. Excellent! This was a classic, and while she knew her fellow would know it for sure, she thought there might be a good few folks standing around who might also know it as well. The intro was rather long, so she looked at Simon and had that gleam in her eyes that he knew so well. He knew it meant she had a plan.... sort of.
"How fun would it be if we had an impromptu Flash Mob type of dance to this?" she asked him with a playful grin. " You know it takes a few minutes to get past Vincent Price's rap, so how about we make our way around this group of ghouls and ask if any of them want to dance it with us? If they do, great. If not, you and I can do it anyway. What do you say? Meet you back here at the point right after Michael becomes zombiefied?"
Just plain giddy with excitement, AngelFyre leaned up to kiss her highly misunderstood monster softly on the lips and then disappeared in the crowd, asking those she knew and did not know if they cared to participate, assuring everyone she spoke to that knowing the dance steps was not necessary, nor was the need for a partner. All they had to do was channel their inner zombie and have some fun.
As she wandered through the crowd, Vincent Price's cameo rap started...
Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y’all’s neighborhood
The first person she ran into was Bailey Glade. What luck. If she could get Bailey on board, this was sure to be a hit. "Bailey, hi! Listen," and AngelFyre cupped her ear and pointed up directing Bailey's attention to the music. "They are playing 'Thriller'. Simon and I are hurriedly moving through the group of guests trying to get people to join in on the zombie dance at the end as one big flash mob. No partner or need to know the steps necessary. He and I will be up front and people can just follow us if they want to, or do their own thing. Spread the word.... and you join in as well, Missy! Tell Kim to spread the word, too, and drag him out there with you. He is a showman like Simon. Should not be too hard," and she laughed and raced off to gather more... bodies.
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse’s shell
She next ran into a boy, he said his name was Oliver and that he was definitely interested. Fantastic! Then she bumped into Emma Wynn, fellow Hufflepuff prefect with Simon and AngelFyre's dueling partner for tomorrow's match against Slytherin. "I know you tend to be shy, Emma, but I promise this will be fun and everyone will be so busy doing their own thing that no one will be judging you. We are lining up over there in about a minute. I hope you come!"
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to share your doom
AngelFyre looked over to see Simon working the other side of the Ballroom and caught his eye, motioning for him to meet her up front. Then her eye was caught by fellow second year Hufflepuff Rita Su. They did not know each other, other than in passing, but they shared a couple of classes together. "Hi, Rita! How would you like to do a group dance to Michael Jackson's classic, 'Thriller'? If you do not know the steps, that is fine, just stand next to me or to Simon and do what we do. No partner necessary! Come on. It will be fun if you want to follow me."
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller
Then because time was drawing near, she made it to the area just as Simon did, both grinning from ear to ear. She was not really aware if anyone was actually going to join them or not, but no matter. They would have a grand time as always. Simon reached out for her hand before it was go time and squeezed it gently three times before letting it go. She mouthed 'I love you." but then hissed at him again in character before they were moving to the beat. OOC: dance starts 47 seconds in if you want to skip ahead.
Both ticking their necks quickly to the side with a shoulder lift. Both staring vacantly ahead. As usual, they were in perfect sync. It was obvious both had practiced the dance at some point and knew it well. AngelFyre's favorite move was something she had always come to think of as the 'I Dream of Jeannie Jumping Jack Slide'.
![]()
The song continued and AngelFyre was having more fun than she had a right to be having. She could not help but be impressed with Simon's moves, especially since he was rather constrained in his monster get up, but even so, the boy was smooth. At one point when they turned around to hunch walk in that direction, she was happily surprised to see some folks had joined them. She was not certain if she recognized any of them, but no matter. She was chalking this up to success.
As the song was coming to a close, she could hear Simon now singing the ending chorus and she had to smile...
"That this is thriller
Thriller night
'Cause I can thrill you more
Than any ghoul would ever dare try
(Thriller, thriller night)
So let me hold you tight
And share a
(Killer, diller, chiller)
(Thriller here tonight)"
When it ended, she jumped into his arms laughing. "I am going to hold you to those song lyrics, handsome!' and she raised her eyebrows up and down rapidly three or four times. "It may not have been as slick as our Bieber concert performance, but I think it will do nicely. For a fellow in platform shoes and shoulder pads, you have very impressive moves, Mr. Kincaid," she whispered in his ear before playfully biting his earlobe. "I warn you, now, though. If they play 'The Monster Mash', I am dragging you back out here for Round 2.
@Kim Sato @Bailey Glade @Oliver Brown @Rita Su @Emma Wynn
The magic is real.

Thrills & Chills Bash

Rita was just putting some snacks from the big table into her mouth when she heard the sound of an old man beginning to rap. Rita did not what the sound is at the beginning, and she later found out it was Thriller by Michael Jackson, and the opening rap is by someone called Vincent Price.
Suddenly, Rita heard someone calling her name. She looked up and find out it was a girl who dressed up as the bride in Frankenstein whom Rita had seen before in several classes but did not know her name. The girl invited Rita to dance to the song Thriller, even though Rita had never danced before. However, the unfamiliar girl comforted her saying it`s OK if she did not know the steps, they were just dancing to have fun. "That was really nice. But how does that girl know I cannot dance? Maybe she is just trying to comfort me. Alright, maybe I shall join to dance with them. Not for perfection, just for fun! It must be interesting to dance to Michael Jackson`s song, let`s do it!" Rita thought and walked up to the girl.
"Hi, even though I don`t really know you, I heard you calling my name, inviting me to dance. It is nice that you invited me to dance! I would like to join you and dance to Thriller! I`ve never danced before, so I may mess up a few things, but I`ll try my best, and we are just dancing for fun, right?" Rita said to the girl with a smile and begin to try her best follow the steps of those who are already dancing to the beautiful song.

────────────────────────────────I had seen a poster on a bulletin board advertising a party. I had already been to one, a small one, that was so much fun. I could not just skip this one! The poster said to bring snacks, so I slipped in to the kitchen, and asked the house elves to make something. They didn’t care, and wanted to help me. I decided to make three snacks, fruit pumkins, graveyard pudding, and spider cupcakes.
I started with the cupcakes because I knew they would take the longest to make. I baked thirty cupcakes, not knowing how many people would be at the party. I then made some icing, three different flavors, chocolate, orange and vanilla. I drew a spider on all the cupcakes with the icing, and took candy eyes and placed them on.
I was done with the cupcakes so I started on the graveyard pudding. I whipped up a simple chocolate cake, and popped it in the oven. I also took some chocolate cookies and put them in a blender, making edible dirt. I got some pudding out and some tall cups, and when the cake was finished I plopped a chunk down in to the bottom of the cup. I grabbed pudding, gummy worms and the fake dirt, and alternated layers of those.
For the fruit pumpkins, I took oranges, and peeled them, leaving them in their circular shape. I took a small chunk of celery, and stuck it in the top of the fruit. I was done. I asked the nearest house elf to take them down to the party, and he gladly did it for me. Wow. I never knew how much I like to cook! I told myself.
I went back up to the dorm, and grabbed my dress and threw it on. I thought the dress was itchy, but I wanted to wear it. Without the dress the costume looked stupid. I grabbed the cloak and threw it on, It was time to go to the party.
I began descending the stairs to the ballroom, trying my best not to fall in my heals. I finally got to the ball room, and Micheal Jackson’s Thriller was playing. Oh. My. Gosh. I know this one! without any thought, I made my way to the dance floor. I began dancing along and screaming the lyrics to the song.

Thrills & Chills Bash
Too wrapped up in the splendor of his surroundings, the fox easily fell right into the Goblin King's trap, tripping over the long, slender legs set out to waylay him. It was only the astonishing speed with which the royal stood, arms out to catch him, that suggested to Ginyami the fault of the accident might not have been entirely his own. But then again, Valentin was a Seeker. It would have made sense that he had quick reflexes.
Hoping the crimson paint on his face obscured the faint blush that spread at having been caught in another's arms, the Mahoutokoro student quickly attempted to recover his balance to stand on his own and recompose himself. "Ah...I should have known," he mused aloud in response, re-arranging his clothing with a grin. "Where there is a labyrinth, of course there would be the Goblin King. You say it's not too late to turn back, Your Majesty, but who would turn back with the opportunity before them to spend time in your enchanting company?"
He raised his brows at the Durmstrang teen's comment on the look in his eyes and his curiosity as a fox. It made him wonder just how familiar his peer was with the stories of kitsune. "It is true, trouble tends to accompany curiosity, but what is adventure without a little trouble?" He chuckled softly before tilting his head. "A gift? For me?"
Eyeing the crystal orb that was extended toward him, his breath caught as the light was reflected in such a way so as to shatter into colors that painted them all over. Valentin's words seeped into him like music, assuring him that if he turned the crystal a certain way and looked into it, it would show him his dreams. Then, to the fox's surprise, he asked what he saw.
Accepting the orb that was released into his possession, Ginyami stared at it a minute, the other boy's silken intonations still echoing in his mind. At last, he looked up into that mithril gaze and beamed with sly mischief glittering in his own. "To witness and know thine own dreams is a gift indeed," he acknowledged, "but to share said dreams without caution could turn out to be an act of sheer folly. I fear, dear king, that it is your curiosity that may bring you trouble. Yet if you still wish me to say...what is it that I may ask in return?" His smile turned coy. "The knowledge of what you see in your crystal, perhaps...?"

OOC note : All of Pea's word and action are all 100% for the purpose of her character- please don't take anything to heart. >.<
“... fine. Have it your way~” The boy turns away from her, as the white-haired makes a very rude gesture with her finger to the boy behind his back. Even though his evil little plan works on her, she knows he won't get away with it that easily. She would never back down from the likes of him. So what is her plan next? Good question! actually, this is the plan that was inspired by Hanako himself, which is annoying him until he gave up and reverses the spell that he put on her. So she follows the boy to the food table, still looking very vexed. It was when the boy picks up a piece of cookie she rushed and push it out of his hand so the cookie would fall to the floor. Pea raised one of her eyebrows and smirked.

If this is the game he wants to play, then she is more than happy to comply. Because he is not going to win this game that easily with her, he just chooses the wrong person to bother. It was then he grabbed another cookie, but her hand quickly slapped it out of his hand again straight to the floor. She could tell that Hana already starting to get annoyed. Pea shrugs at him and gestured to her mouth, signing that if he wanted it to stop he just needs to undo the spell.
But before Hana could reply, someone else came in their direction. A cute boy wearing some kind of clown costume? and so is his *presumed* date? She is not versed in pop culture to understand some of these people's costumes sometimes. But! they could not see her like this! this is totally embarrassing. Her pale face started to get paler, from both anger and panic. She could tell that Hana is very amused by the entrance of this gentleman because surely he gonna use it to embarrass her again. Pea would not let it happen! not again.
She nodded to the girl who left to get refreshments, leaving her date to them. Now she is torn for another dilemma. Should she embarrassingly ask for help from this cute boy using stupid sign language, or she tries to be as quiet as she can so he wouldn't notice her? Both options sound stupid to her.
Permission to godmod is granted by Hanako.

Bailey smiles as more and more people showed up. @Kim Sato’s Thrills and Chills Bash was a smashing success!! And would surely go down in Hogwarts History!
@Oliver Brown was there as Jack, just as he had been for @Edward Edwards Halloween Party at the beginning of the month.
@Haley Rose came up to Kim, and introduced Joker @Cassandra Ironwoods as Verona. Bailey smiled at the pair. It was nice to see a few muggle movie and comic characters- if reminded her of the costume party her grandparents would host for Halloween.
Bailey little Hogwarts sister of sorts, @Taisia Elidine Stroudefielde showed up and Bailey was happy she had come down.
@Sienna Lenoir came up to speak with Kim. She must have spotted Bailey who was making sure everything was perfect as more and more people piled in, because she was making sure to steer clear.
Why does she not like me? Bailey wondered, but as she started circled back to Kim, Bailey watched as more people entered. This included a first year, @Aurora Griffith, and a friend of baileys, @Mina Starr. Mina came up to bailey, which made Bailey smile. When the girl said it had been a moment, Bailey agreed with a soft “Yes it has!” Mina complemented Baileys outfit, and Bailey blush and thanked the other girl. “Aww thanks im glad you like it! I love yours too, you’re a … falling Angel, if I’m not mistaken- correct?”
After she finishes talking to Mina Bailey would continue to circle the part, watching as @Quinn Root, @Sirin Liu, the well loved Ravenclaw prefect @Bubba McGarry, someone from another school, Valentin@ Aida Mòrsgor-Ama Ellwood, @Rita Su, another foreign student, Ginyami Midorimori @Jack Burnett, @Monica Evans, and @Galton Lansdale.
Bailey smiled widely as @Simon Kincaid and his darling @AngelFyre McCubbin entered. Bailey was friends with both of them, separately, but loved seeing them together.
Next @Hanako Tone entered. Bailey didn’t know how to define her somewhat friendship with Hannah. They had only met a few weeks ago at the Slytherin versus Ravenclaw Quidditch match, and their interaction had been interesting.
Interesting is one way to put it Bailey though, watching out of the corner of her eye as Hannah and another snek, @ Pea Elena Fowl talked, or maybe argued? Bailey wasn’t sure but she definitely was not going to get into the middle of it.
@Emma Wynn ran in then, seeming to think she was late. Bailey smiled. She and Emma were good friends, but bailey wished they had a chance to talk or to hang out more often.
Bailey was distracted then as AF ran up, and
started talking. The other girl was clearly excited, and was planning something. Bailey was all for it, and smiled. She agreed to AF’s plan to have a flash mob. She told Bailey to tell Kim to spread the word, and Bailey accepted this mission gladly.
She ran up to Kim, and dragged him to the dance floor while explaining. “AngleFyre is organizing a flash mob- it’s a muggle thing- and I’m dragging you to take part. There’s not getting out of it, I know you can dance.”
Bailey was dancing away as she saw, out of the corner of her eyes, @Charlie Jacobsen entering and joining the dance. Bailey smiled- she truly was having a great time.
When the dance was over, Bailey walked over to the snack and food table to get a snack. Maybe someone would come up to her, or maybe she’d just eat until Kim started the games.Open to interactions,

Thrills & Chills Bash

A warm chuckle reverberated through the goblin king’s chest as he smiled at the little fox he’d caught. Valentin’s arms bore the weight tenderly, yielding slightly to the other’s momentum to cushion the blow as he had learned to do in quidditch. Through his layers of fine cloth, the captain’s slender muscle tone ensured control of the motion while still leaving a comfortable escape path for the other boy. With all of his attention on Ginyami, Valentin got a clear view of the scarlet spreading between the strokes of the fox’s red face paint [19+15=34]. However, the Mahoutokoro boy recovered with deft movement and turns of phrase, threaded with his characteristic style of flattery. Valentin’s face softened as he thought it must be true, then, that he was able to please the boy with their time together. Ginyami took the orb and began to stare at it as if hearing an echo in his mind. “You are a brave fox, indeed,” soothed the goblin king, and the boy’s dark eyes looked up to meet Valentin’s mithril gaze.
"To witness and know thine own dreams is a gift indeed, but to share said dreams without caution could turn out to be an act of sheer folly. I fear, dear king, that it is your curiosity that may bring you trouble. Yet if you still wish me to say...what is it that I may ask in return?" The crafty fox smiled. "The knowledge of what you see in your crystal, perhaps...?"
Slowly, Valentin nodded once, his eyes flickering as the taste of a thrill slipped across his tongue. “If that is your wish, then so shall it be.” It seemed the dark-haired boy had a penchant for forbidden knowledge as well. “Stand still, please, and I will have a look.”
The tall pale boy circled around behind Ginyami and leaned in, his alabaster face peering over the fox’s shoulder to gaze upon the orb at the same angle. Standing only an inch away from his back, Valentin considered the warps of color within the crystal, taking his time as he allowed the watery shine of the ball’s surface to speak to his heart. After a moment, Valentin drew in a breath and held it, his recurved lips pulling back with tension. Then, exhaling as he pulled away, the gust of Valentin’s breath passed through the black fringe of hair at the side of Ginyami’s face.
“Well, then, I have my answer for you when you are ready,” whispered Valentin as he stood back in front of the kitsune. With a leather-gloved hand rubbing the interior of his right palm, the white seeker looked back through his long goblin tresses with an ache and a vulnerability that weren’t visible before. Even as the flash mob broke out around them, Valentin looked back at Ginyami with somber eyes.
“Afterwards, would you care to join me in this dance?”

“You are a brave fox, indeed,”
To be told that by the taller youth only worsened the stain upon Ginyami's complexion as he drank in his silken tones. One could have taken the statement as a compliment, as it was likely meant, but the fox chose to have it serve as a reminder and a warning to himself not to be too greedy. To ask too much too quickly could have just as easily turned away the majestic king as drawn him in. He had to be careful of boundaries, but that was difficult when he had not yet found Valentin's and there was still so much he wanted to know about him.
Though he had been the one to propose it, the mask-bearing teen honestly hadn't expected his wish to be granted. His smile broadened at his companion's request to stand still and he obeyed readily, poising himself in such a way to allow an easy view into the flawless crystal. What he didn't expect was the party's promise of fun and an increased pulse to be fulfilled so soon as Valentin came up behind him before leaning in.
He was so close Ginyami could breathe in his scent, sweet and enticing and mixed with the smell of leather from his costume, and the Japanese boy wondered if the other could sense his heartbeat at such a proximity. He regarded the king as he peered into the orb, watching the shape of his lips change as he first inhaled, then exhaled after a beat. Valentin's breath tickled his hair against his face and he shivered slightly at its touch.
“Well, then, I have my answer for you when you are ready,” the goblin king whispered as though his answer was something Ginyami needed to prepare himself for; as if it were knowledge he might not wish to possess. “Afterwards, would you care to join me in this dance?”
"I am ready," Ginyami assured him, though again wondered if he had perhaps asked too much. The new expression on Valentin's face and the emotion etched in his features caused the fox to second-guess himself. Still, he maintained his careful smile and nodded in response to the question posed to him. "It would be my pleasure, Your Highness."

Thrills & Chills Bash

Reducio
For Ginyami to find enchantment in Valentin’s voice was really the reverberation, the repetition, of history itself, for Valya’s kaleidoscopic mercurial tones were a key component of his ancestral inheritance. His mother, Zinoviya, had enthralled listeners across the world with her captivating voice, and not just by means of skill and biology. Theirs was a sorcery beyond compare in the world of professional music, and with the premature death of Zinoviya, the only survivor who could restore the true meaning and purpose of their shattered legacy was Valentin. As woefully incomplete as the seeker’s speaking voice was, Ginyami was one of the few to experience a small fragment of its unique and near-extinct orphic magic.
As Valentin passed close by, the fragrance of stargazer lilies, leather, and Damask rose drifted on the air over the subtle warmth of his clean skin’s natural musk. Barely aware of it himself, to Valentin his costume mostly smelled of home even though this was the first time he’d worn it. The outfit had sat in the estate mail room for weeks before being sent specifically for Kim’s event – with Valentin away from home, flowers sent by fans accumulated by the dozen in the same room as the costume. Occasionally some would still send him roses and other bouquets, but word had gotten out that he never took anything but white lilies up to his room. Quiet about such things himself, no one really knew he was holding a number of such pleasures back for “someday.” With a particularly rosy character and lacking the other fragrances of his room, the goblin king garments felt new and exciting to Valentin. Indeed, everything tonight seemed to possess a shining edge of novelty.
The tall seeker arrived in front of the kitsune and received his ready signals, but Valentin still paused to observe Ginyami’s face before proceeding with his answer. The raven-haired boy maintained a smile in return, fox mask hanging from the side of his face, and Valentin couldn’t help but remember Mikael. Misha, as Valentin called him, always wore masks to such gatherings – but never askew like this, never as if having two faces. It was as if Mikael meant for the mask to obscure the cold void behind it. Valya never believed any of his posturing, though – he had seen the golden spark inside that void, even if Mikael no longer believed it was there. Looking at Ginyami now, Valentin regarded the boy’s human smile as sincere, but he couldn’t help wondering why others were so fond of masks. Both were already beautiful without them.
“Well, then,” Valentin began, trying to ease himself into revealing the secrets of his heart after having buried them deep down with the colddrake since that devastating August evening. It occurred to him that, in speaking first, it was possible that the fox could run off with the goblin king’s answer and avoid answering in return. At such a lively gathering, Ginyami could even pull it off with a socially appropriate excuse. Valentin’s vulnerability now was no performance, having real stakes, as his internal condition had grown volatile after months of suppressing the burning truth within. As solid as the frost captain appeared, even to himself, beneath the tower warred a pair of dragons on the verge of crumbling his composure to its very foundations. Ginyami had gotten a taste of Valya’s struggle before, melting his ice in the dining hall with precisely fired questions when they had only just met. How could the curious fox have known, arriving new to the scene as Valentin strove to conceal the red and white dragons crashing against the confines of his underground dungeon? Valya’s people needed him to be strong, especially during the Hexiwizard Tournament. They needed the flawless resolve of the Frost King, his nurturing adoration, and his physical fortitude as they battled under the scrutiny of the world press. Now was the time for Valentin to give his team his all, not to crumble from his own quiet struggle. Yet, Valentin had accepted Ginyami’s request, just as surely as he never turned down a dare. Even if the fox were to make off with his secrets, Valya was never one to sacrifice the truth in any game’s gambit.
“When I look into the orb, I see… there is a boy before me, and he reaches out,” Valentin began to whisper, clutching folds of cloth in his right hand over his heart and holding his left arm over his belly as if to protect himself. “His hand passes into my chest and he pulls out a gleaming sword from inside me. With this unbreakable edge, he defeats the Reaper, for he has used me as the blade of immortality.” Craning his neck up, Valentin’s eyes began to glisten. “He then comes back, but not to return the sword. He will wield me forever, and he tells me to draw the blade that lives within him so that we will remain together for all eternity.” Closing his eyes, Valentin’s cheeks grew pink as a smile bloomed across his entire face. “He kisses me, and I take back the sword I thought I had lost forever.” Frozen in the moment with his face still angled towards the sky, the seeker breathed in deep and exhaled. “I know, then, that the war inside me is won because the red and white dragons have fused together and the legacy of my ancestors will survive…”
Hit with a wave of exhaustion, Valentin swooned backwards a step and began to blink to bring himself out of the reverie. Yet, the scintillating cerulean in his mind’s eye lingered, inverted, as if burned in from staring directly into two blinding lights. The seeker pulled himself back into standing up straight, determination searing across his face as he tried to focus back on the young Japanese fox. Yet, a terrible growl escaped the goblin king’s stomach to declare that he had not eaten for far too long.
“If only we were flying,” warbled the pale king as he came back down to earth. “I am so much more powerful in the sky… Up there, we can go so very fast and everything still turns out alright.” Placing one hand on his face, Valentin realized he must sound downright delirious. Perhaps I am, he thought, retaking a shaky step towards Ginyami. “Now, then, Лисичка, little fox… indulge me. What does the orb show you?” Combatting a headrush, Valentin crossed his arms and squeezed into his shoulders with his gloved hands. It was all the towering 5’11” king could do to prevent himself from reaching for Ginyami’s shoulder for stability, but only at the expense of leisurely polite language. Valentin was cracking. With even a single well-placed blow, his barely-contained lament could collapse like a wall of ice into the sea.
