Meet a nice girl. Have a good time. All Jürgen Hess wanted to do was chillax at the lakeside, maybe throw some rocks. He has not quite mastered the stone skipping technique but he intended to do so today. He only clocked a few birds and potentially winged a few of his classmates a few times.

He was not sure what Galton was up to but he was bored. Time sure did move slower these days but he was thankful, Galton had scared the heck out of him when he started biting all of those people. Under the expert care of the staff at St. Mungos and the oversight of the Ministry, a bit excessive in his opinion but who was he to judge, he got better eventually but he did not like it one bit. Galton was never right after that even if they were still friends.

So when his cousin dragged him away from the breakfast table, his issue with croissants was a bloody mystery to him and rammed a handful of seeds down his throat which by the way nearly killed him, he told him to find his weird little friend because he had a date for them. Yes, a date-date. one would have thought such a prospect would be thrilling and it kinda-sorta was but Mathias had this way about him - perhaps it was his abrupt nature, his careless demeanor or the fact that he was scary. Like mean per-say, but the sort of guy that always seemed to find a way to win even when there was no way it was logical.

But he did know one thing for sure, Pride had killer taste even if he hated carbs.

So Hess would reach out to Galton, his bro. Failing that, probably Hugh. Pride never said which friend, not that he saw either much. Galton might be a hard sell, he had no candy to offer but a lady was a 'sweet treat' right? What is a little white lie to get the guy out of his shell and mingling.
Calling: @Galton Lansdale if unavailable or uninterested next round will ping Hugh Lowe.
So dressed well, he wanted to be snazzy for the ladies. He was not sure if they had dibs or there was a claim, some sort of seating arrangement, etcetera but he wanted to impress at least one of them. Perhaps the plaid pants were not the way to go. He looked down, well it was too late now, there was no second-guessing this. Picnic on the grounds overlooking the lake near the big not-Whomping Willow tree. Yes, he was very clear about that. Not the violence plants. The angry vegetation would have been a damper on their date.

There was a short list of rules, most of them seemed a bit silly. This was not some sort of dating show. He had no plans to follow any of them, in fact he forgot all of them.
Biometrics:
5 foot 7 inches
145 pounds
Lanky build, full head of mop-like hair that is in need of a cut.
Glasses, yes he needs to wear them
Dress shows and fitted attire
Carrying a small box and a flower he had found (stole) from the greenhouse.

It was one of those thankless days where Mathias, the protagonist of this tale would help his socially inept cousin find a girl or three. He needed to get something from Miss Harper and if he had any hope for success he would have to utilize whatever tools he had at his disposal. The hot gene that ran strong in his family was one of his greatest assets. He was not blind to the way everyone looked at him despite not having an ounce of Veela in his blood, pure wizard here baby.

Vlad would be unwilling to play along, something about having too much pride. Wrong name it would seem, let's have a trade. That is where poor, predictable, nerdy Hess came in. His face buried in a comic, he never really did anything right. He was not entirely certain how they were related, he had seen trolls with more common sense than him. Still, he had earned the favor of his family elders over the years -- a doer of great things the oracles claimed. They knew as well as Mathias did, those were not visions of what would be but rather what might be. The boy got lost on the train ride to the camp for Merlin's sake.

The first time he asked, it was a no. He wanted to spend the day "playing heroes" -- a cringeworthy embarrassment. A pastry later he tried again. More amicable, what hero game? Matt never heard of any hero game. No, no the girls wanted to meet him and his friend. Which one? The weird little one? A description that fit Galton to the T, not that Mathias was even aware of who Hess had frequented. He probably would have said the big guy had he known what he was going to inflict upon the girls. Not that he cared, he had a single objective in all of this.

It was his second year and the only ones that knew him were his dormmates, the head of house and a smattering of people from the ball who saw him in his skivvies. Not that there was anything to be ashamed of, again hottie genes. He just did not need the banshee of a girl screaming at him every time she saw him.

So he would use his assets once again. Ask her on a date. Sure, she would reject him but she would still show up, she was the bull-headed type. Add a few other girls to the mix, she would have to warn them as well. Not that he knew the girls in Winnie's house too well. He just picked a pair of girls from Ravenclaw at random -- @Lavina Cloven and @Aurora Ranvier. Lavina because quidditch, he recalled seeing her in the sky at some point. He was an avid fan of quidditch, once the suffering was over he might even enjoy a conversation for once. Then there was the other one -- it was the bubblegum pink highlights that made him think of candy. He recalled the year before he was admitted to Hogwarts how Hess spent a few weeks out of school for a candy overdose. Whatever that meant, he heard mutterings about it of course it was misconstrued -- the OD was suffered by Galton not Jürgen.

A picnic, girls liked those. He sought en masse the varied foods provided by the house elves rather than professors. Light foods he could make more dense - 'sugar' dusted fruits juiced into a sweet drink. Meats sliced to make sandwiches, cookies and crisps. Anything with an excessive surface area.

Then there was the issue of getting the girls. A letter should suffice.

───When the letter had arrived, Winnie had foolishly believed it to be a response to the various hate poems she had sent Mathias Pride. Perhaps she had been overcompensating after the humiliating potion-influenced fawning over him she had done during the blossom ball. She had told him of her ‘affections’ and practically cuddled with the Slytherin. Shudder.

There were times she lay awake at night thinking about the moment, replaying the terror repeatedly. The worst part was that, somehow, despite being a complete worm, Mathias Pride had even smelt good. Cashews and seawater. The very thought of him caused a fiery rage to burn within her. Around Pride, she struggled to think straight or to use logic.

How she acted had not been very ‘becoming of a lady’, as her great grandmother would have told her. Thanks to the absence of her father, and thus his objections, Orla Harper had finally taken Winnie to London to meet her. Aileen Hemlock had was horrified at the thought of being related to her and had made it her mission to teach the young Ravenclaw. Only Merlin knew why; perhaps as an attempt to make up for the muggle blood running through her veins.

She could still hear Gigi’s words ringing in her head. ‘Stand up straight. Do not let your eyes glaze over like that. A girl of your complexion should not have so many pink dresses. Didn’t your muggle mother at least teach you proper etiquette?’ It was a hopeless, laughable cause, really. Perhaps by the end of her visit, even Aileen herself had realized this.

It hadn’t been all bad; Aileen was kind enough to her. She had even given Winnie new books and some new dresses, and it was one of those dresses she wore to the lake that day. The dress was made up of two separate layers; the first was a plain light green dress that fell just above her knees. The second layer was a light sheer polka-dotted fabric, perfect for the warm weather. The neckline, sleeves, and waist were embellished with lace, and the dress closed in the front with a row of pearl buttons. She wore simple green strap sandals on her feet. Her hair had been left partway up, the bottom half falling to her hips and still wavy from her nightly braids. She had arranged the top half into a ponytail and pinned it securely at the back of her head with a green ribbon clip. It wasn’t like she wanted to look good for Mathias Pride, or even wanted to go on this date. She had done it for herself because she felt more confident when she dressed nicely.

Was there any reason for her to go see him? In her mind, yes. She wanted to try and apologize for her behaviour while under the influence of the love potion. Still... The mere sight of him could possibly further anger her, and any attempts of reconciliation would be flushed down the toilet. She had decided to waste her breath on the boy regardless, and at least try to apologize for her unbecoming behaviour. She didn’t take the letter seriously anyway. It was likely that Pride was trying to make fun of her. He seemed aware of how easily flustered she could get, after all. He was also frightfully good at reading her, and it startled her.

Either way, she was going, and that was that. She walked across the grounds and towards the sparkling lake. The big tree, the note had said to meet Pride at it. Luckily, Winnie didn’t have to look for it, because it seemed Matt was already waiting for her… With another boy? She knew it! This was a prank after all! He was definitely setting her up and he was going to receive a piece of her mind! Her eyes narrowed as she stormed over to the boy. She was so busy glaring at him that she hardly noticed the 'romantic' setup.

MATHIAS PRIDE! What is this?” She demanded. She was clenching his letter in her right hand and was now waving it in front of his face accusingly. “You think I’m pretty and want to date me? Is this some kind of joke? I know you hate me! I-…” It was then that her eyes flickered downwards and she noticed the picnic basket and blanket. She could not stop her face from heating and blushing a rosy hue. Why was it actually set up like a date? What was happening?! “… Picnic…?” She questioned him with furrowed brows, and then glanced over at the other boy. “Who is this…? Why is he here if you want to go on a date?”

Well, Miss daddy issues stormed her way up the hill to their little 'date'. He could not miss her - those brightly colored dresses, she reminded him of cotton candy. “MATHIAS PRIDE! What is this?” She bellowed his name and demanded answers.

"...a picnic?"

He replied as he gave his cousin a sideways glance. "Don't worry, she's not yours." An assurance at the very least.

“You think I’m pretty and want to date me? Is this some kind of joke? I know you hate me! I-…”

Yet she was the one all dolled up for this not-date where he thought she was not pretty.

"You look nice?"

"Unless you would rather I call you hideous."

A delay between visual impulse and the revelation that there was a romantic-esque set-up for the two, no three... no more than that not that he offered such information yet. Yes, there was a picnic. No pigs blood hanging precariously overhead.

“… Picnic…?”

He nodded his head cautiously. "Yes?" He sounded uncertain in his reply. "Picnic," he confirmed. "You know, the sort with food," he pushed the glasses up the bridge of his nose a bit. An unassuming façade that emulated his cousin adjacent.

“Who is this…? Why is he here if you want to go on a date?”

"Did you really want to be alone with me?" He could not help but let the corner of one half of his mouth twitch upward into a bit of a self-important smirk that he forced himself to swallow. "My cousin Jürgen, I invited another girl to keep him company," he explained. Yes, a double date.

He let out a disappointed sounding sigh. "Not sure what got into me, I did not act... well and," he glanced away. Eye contact was something to avoid when lying but you needed to look in the right direction for it to be believable. "I think you're a nice girl. So juice, sandwiches, good company, maybe good friends then?" Not that he expected her to politely accept the invitation, it was just a lot harder to decline a polite response in comparison to a more honest interaction.

"As for Lavina and Aroura and..." he looked over to Jürgen with a questioning gaze. "Who did you invite again?" Galvatron? Gary? Whatever name supplied by Jürgen he would nod in acknowledgement, "yes, Jürgen's friend."

What in the world did Matt do. The girl he had invited was dressed real nice, cute even but then she started with the yelling and filled the teen with terror. "Merlin Matt," he complained out of the side of his mouth in a mutter. Whatever happened to finding a 'nice' girl. They were both going to die!

She was not for him, well that was reassuring (he hoped). He did not have a great deal of faith in his younger cousin who he hoped would not earn a similar reputation as his elder. Vladimir was well-known in his family, the heir apparent to the well spring of their family's wealth. In a matter of years he would take control over the family, his father had his eyes set on Minister and he feared that wealth and opportunity would corrupt the brilliant youth wholly. Rumors had swirled throughout the school for years that Athanatos was up to no good, not that he gave much credence to simple rumors. That was until a few months ago when Vladimir was holed up in St. Mungos for several weeks. His branch was involved in the oversight of his recovery or lack thereof. Some sort of curse. They tried to divine an outcome, some sort of knowledge regarding the direction they should take but the threads of fate were at an impasse. No answer could be gleaned.

There was a stark difference between Vladimir and Mathias, despite the blood that they shared, Mathias had an ambition that the Ravenclaw had always lacked. He was a terrifying force, something he saw in his trials. A sort of right of passage for youths in his family. Displays of magical promise, of skill as a Seer. The boy cheated often, proving his skill to be superior as the expense of his blood. There was little to be gained beyond esteem and accolades. It was a terrifying prospect to consider what he would do if there was more to be gained.

Still he was a cousin, they were family. There was no reason to deny his invitation. T0o potentially improve his interpersonal relationships. He was too introverted, preferring the company of his male (non-romantic) friends. He had made a few (failed) attempts to garner the attention of a girl but he was awkward and lacked skill in that regard. His successes in this realm would only enhance Mathias' standing, a cousin with healthy, public relationships with the fairer gender.

He wondered what he had done to this girl to earn her ire or if she was always angry. The demands she made for answers yet the cute outfit she picked were contradictory. Perhaps she was what they called a 'Yandere' a word that Mathias would certainly not know but maybe that was his type.

He silently watched the exchange. Yep, he has a type. Never did he think he would see the day.

She wanted to know who he was. He looked away at first, she might turn him to stone. No, that was impolite. A nervous glance in her direction. Jürgen Mathias announced and he gave the girl a shy wave. "She aint here yet," he added sheepishly. Hopefully she would show, otherwise this was going to be an uncomfortable experience.

Lavina and Aurora -- pretty names. Distracted a moment as Matt rattled off a pair of names, girls he did not know but they sounded exotic.

Who did he invite again?

"Uh-- UHHHH--- GaLTON!" he announced loudly. He panicked! "He should be here soon... erm.... eventually?" He looked around himself, he sure hoped so at the very least.

Confusion. That was the first thing Aurora felt once she got the letter with no identity of the sender anywhere on the piece of paper. But, judging from how that mysterious person knew her name, that must be someone she ever talked to before, perhaps a fellow Ravenclaw. Then, it finally sinking in. A glimmer of hope, the possibility it might be the one she fancied made her all giddy and jumped out from her bed and search for the nicest clothes for the date. The young girl did not wish that particular silver haired boy was the sender, of course, but the ‘friend’ that seemed to be dying to meet her. Messy was an understatement to describe the state of her room. Not that it was usually neat, but at that moment, the room was a resemblance of a shipwreck, perhaps messier. Clothes, hair accessories, shoes, were everywhere, making the floor and Lucifur, the cat almost invisible. Although the guy of her dream had seen her sweaty and pretty much a mess, Aurora still hoping, maybe, just maybe, if she dolled up for once, he would finally notice her.

A white floral dress was the one the girl picked to wear. With her hair styled in half pigtail and a matching headband. Not forgetting her favourite boots, of course. Aurora grabbed the mystery letter and read it once more, just in case she missed some details before. On second thought, it was rather impossible for Pericles to be the ‘friend’ who was desperate to see this particular Ravenclaw. He could just write the letter himself since they knew each other already. But, just like a wise person would say, ‘dream as high as the sky’, who knew it could be him after all. Even if the third year will not be there, coming to the so-called date would not hurt, right? Or is this a kidnapping scheme? Before Aurora stepped out of the room, she grabbed her purse with two small bottles of brand new pepper spray and her wand inside it, and walk to her romantic picnic lunch. She said goodbye to Lucifur, not wanting him to get involved in the madness, if the letter were just a dangerous trick.

Nervous. She felt as if her heart pounded ten beats at once. Just imagining that certain duelist stood there, waiting for her to come making the blush on her cheek appeared. But the scene in front of her did not match her expectation. A furious girl, none other than Minnie Harper -She thought that was the red-haired girl’s name- furiously screamed at the poor boy. Wait, who is the boy, and where is Peri? Disappointed again. On the other hand, another guy, with messy raven hair stood there awkwardly, though her focus was still on the old married couple who was having their moment, or fighting. “H-hey, uh, wh- what is going on!?"

“A picnic? This is obviously MORE than a picnic!” She gestured towards the setup. It was so elaborate, like a feast for a dozen! And why? Winnie’s voice was growing more shrill and less confident as Pride continued to speak.

”Don’t worry, she’s not yours."

“I… I don’t belong to anyone!” She quickly piped.

At his compliment, her face burned a deep crimson. Why was he complimenting her? “I--…” Would she rather that? She seemed to handle insults better than compliments. Especially when the praises were about her appearance. Still.. “No…” She was only human, after all. Despite how flustered it made her, she liked it. It was then that she tried to focus on Pride’s own appearance.

Glasses? Mathias Pride wore glasses? Since when? He didn’t wear them during the ball, right? …Had his eyes always been hazel? Why did that colour seem to haunt her, and why did she have such a weakness for it? Was it the spring hues that swirled with the calming shades of brown? There were so many eye colours out there, so why did Mathias Pride have to have hazel eyes?

She had to say something to him. She couldn’t just stand there and stare. “… Youhaveniceeyes.” She managed to compliment him so quickly that her words were jammed together. It wasn’t fair. How could he suddenly be nice to her? It felt odd. In the back of her mind, she didn’t trust it. She knew it couldn’t be true. Perhaps she should just leave…

“Would you rather be alone with me?”

That stirred the fire within her, and she was back to yelling at the Slytherin, “WHAT? NO!” Perhaps she was more of a tsundere. It was then that she turned towards the brunette boy.

“Jürgen… I’m sorry. It’s um… Nice to meet you.” She was ashamed she was acting this way in front of the boy, but she couldn’t help it. Not when Mathias Pride was around. “I’m also sorry you have to get involved with this.”

Wait a minute, what had Matt said? “You… You invited another girl?” Who? Oh, Merlin… Was she going to have to compose herself in front of them? It might be damn near impossible. Was his plan simply to see her squirm? Dammit, she had to focus! She couldn’t get caught up in his false niceties! This was definitely some sort of trick.

Yet he had glanced away as he had apologized to her. A sign of humility? “You… You kissed my friend!” she pointed out. Her mouth felt dry, and she had skipped lunched. The food was starting to look appealing. “I haven’t been nice to you at all!” She pointed out, her head tilting as she gazed over at the boy. “… I do like sandwiches.” If she walked away now, she would never know the true reason he had invited her. She had to stay. She had to swallow her pride and do what she had come here to do. Surely the boy would stop haunting her dreams if she properly apologized.

She had to say it now, or she never would. “I came here to apologize to you b-because… Of how I acted… With the potion…” This was more difficult than she thought it would be. Would that be good enough? “SoI’msorry.” It came out all at once again, and she couldn’t even meet his eyes when she said it.

“… W-Wait TWO GIRLS?” She had little time to react to the news of the names of the two girls that would join them. One had already arrived. She blinked over at her in surprise. It was a face that Winnie recognized. “Aurora?” They had done some crafting together, and the girl’s cheerful nature had always made her smile. Oh, no… Was she caught up in this too? Now she definitely couldn’t leave.

What in the world?! Why on earth was she sent an anonymous letter to go on a group date? It made no sense in her brain and she honestly thought that it was a trick. The thing was, she didn’t have many friends besides people on the quidditch team so who sent the letter? Was it someone she knew? Someone in her classes? One of her friends? Then again, if it was her friends they would have signed the letter. No one she knew would even ask her to go on a date. Whoever it was knew her name and had a friend that they wanted her to date. She wasn’t going to go.

This was just an elaborate plan to get to the grounds and she wasn’t falling for it. If the sender didn’t put their name then why should she even bother going? Could it be that this group date was similar to the Valentine’s Day picnic that had her questioning the teachers ways? Why would someone even want her on the grounds? They could be pulling a prank on her or maybe they were just trying to actually get a date for their friend. The thing was, all of her love life so far was imaginary. She had fell in love at the ball due to a potion effect and had felt bad ever since. Who would even want her for a date?

That’s when the meeting among friends line hit her. Was she going to know the people at this group date and who was this sender? Maybe, just maybe she should go just to check it out. If she could make someone’s day then maybe it was worth investigating. Finally coming to decision, she decided to head out towards the tree overlooking at 1. Lavinia wasn’t trying to impress anyone so got dressed in just a regular blue dress that she had laying around and was a little late to the excepted time. She didn’t really care if she was late though, if this person really wanted her to come then they wouldn’t care either.

Walking towards the desired place, she noticed a small congregation of students standing around. Upon getting closer she could make out two familiar looking girl and two boys she had probably never met before. How was it that one of the boys possibly had a crush on her when she didn’t even know them. She recognized Aurora from the quidditch team and couldn’t place where she had seen the other girl before. The thing was, if she didn’t know the boys then that meant that one of them had possibly just sent a random message to her.

Addressing the whole group she just went for the million dollar question while looking slightly annoyed. “Who sent me the letter to come here and why am I even here? You look to be even in numbers so why bother with me?”

Galton was here to claim a summer sweet treat. It had been possibly a whole day since Galton had had any quality action. Summer camp had left Galton burning through the schools supply of salivating goodies. Without classes, homework and clubs to occupy his time his usual sweet lust had gone into overdrive. And it wasn't hard to get his fixed. They were everywhere! Every time he ate, organized activities, even his own cabin! During the school year he had to at least go out of his way to get them in his own dorm, he didn't sleep right next to them. And no matter how many he tried, he just wanted more. Maybe it was the puberty.

So his good pal Jürgen's invitation was hastily accepted. The boy knew him well, they had history, it was no surprise that the two knew each other's tastes. Galton was excited at the possibilities that lay ahead for him. He donned a summer robe as fast as he could, slipped a pair of sandals on and took off from his cabin. There was nothing fancy about the outfit. A robe made of light cotton, missing it's sleeves and any protruding collar that fell to his knees, allowing for optimal airflow and agility. Besides a stain or two from his recent adventures, it wasn't too shabby. He was making good time.

Rounding a corner his buddy came into view. As did a lot of others. It sounded like Jürgen was screaming for him? "It wasn't a singular treat then... Exciting." He thought as he closed in. His eyes searched over the others and the set-up. Picnics were an ideal situation for enjoying some of the sweeter things in life.

Galton ended his run a meter or two from the picnic cloth with a little skid. He doubled over, hands on his thighs as he sucked in air; it had been a longer run then he expected. He squinted up at the group between breathes to try to figure out what exactly was going on. He guessed everyone was confused about the exact purpose here. How? How could anyone misunderstand what a summer picnic with a scenic overlook meant? He straightened himself up in preparation to hopefully dispel some of the confusion.

"Aren't you here for a treat?" Galton would say, smiling and pointing between himself, a girl, Jürgen, and another girl.

The girls would arrive, be it curiosity or something else that compelled them, it mattered not. His requirement of them was their presence, the social pressures of their participation and possible engagement. The sense of ease it places someone in that they are among peers, allies, that nothing bad can happen to them and that nothing dangerous could be done to them because there were witnesses. A false presumption.

As for Winnie, it went as well as he could expect although he half expected her to douse him in a thermos of juice. A potential re-enactment of the day they met, a true romantic in that. But the interaction was simple, expected even. React calmly, politely, daresay meekly. It is hard to continue ranting, especially in public when you appear to be the unreasonable one, the bully. People are often cognizant of how others take them subconsciously. Had they taken a more active consideration, they would be a dangerous opponent.

...rather be alone with me.

“WHAT? NO!”

"Well, let's see if we can change that opinion," he announced with a feigned confidence only he was capable of exuding. Flustering her was fun.

“Jürgen… I’m sorry. It’s um… Nice to meet you.”

Surely her opinion on him would change in the near future.

“I’m also sorry you have to get involved with this.”

Just had to wait for the rest to arrive.

“You… You invited another girl?”

Yes, it made it harder for her to react and she knew how difficult it was to prevent him from making a scene. A thrown drink and he would strip to his skivvies without batting an eye. He would hit on her best friend in front of her to get a reaction and introduce himself after. The boy was utterly shameless. But she was right about one thing -- this was definitely a trick.

A false apology. Maybe she even deserved it, but an apology is more than a gathering of words. An apology had meaning, it served as more than an admission of guilt but suggested regret which he did not feel and a promise that he would never keep, the promise that it would never happen again. So why apologize, why make a promise and say words that were so hollow? For the simple fact that he was a cruel boy. That he had devised a terrible use for the little girl. Because it was hilarious.

“You… You kissed my friend!”

"In my defense..." his voice trailed off. "Well, I guess there is no defending," he announced sheepishly as he caught himself. He needed to suppress the snark despite the fact that snark was a part of his core nature. "I am not entirely sure what came over me," he lied. It was a choice, a conscious decision to kiss Ruka. To pull her gaze to the encounter. The panic he felt after was not her rage, that was intended but rather the upperclassman's requited passions that he was unprepared for. The point was to earn the ire of those allied with Ruka, to also force Ruka to disengage. It was less effective than me had hoped, something to note for future encounters. He would have to contend later with his mildly questioned sexuality. His first decent kiss. Shame it had to have such deceitful intentions, not that he romanticized relationships or love enough for this to remain relevant beyond a fleeting consideration. she pointed out.

“I haven’t been nice to you at all!”

He eyed the girls who had arrived. Poor timing for her. Oh well. "That's true,"[/b] he confirmed.

Thankfully she was a simple girl. There was food. Bribery. “… I do like sandwiches.”

He took a seat on the plaid sheet, Indian-style. "I can't cook to save my life so don't get to hopeful," a bit of self-depreciating humor. "I might have liberated some of the house elves cooking," the only truth he might tell this day. Well, maybe. He did not find the girl to be repulsive, it was just the ultimate truth that everyone was a tool, Winnie Harper included.

“I came here to apologize to you b-because… Of how I acted… With the potion…”

"The best part of my evening?" Smooth enough?

“SoI’msorry.”

Things were going swimmingly. A bit of humility. The claim of regret. Flattery. A setting that required effort and care. Witnesses. A developing formula with a singular intended outcome.

“… W-Wait TWO GIRLS?”

Yeah, there were two of them. Both decided to wear pretty dresses. They were interested enough. Add peer pressure to the list.

“Aurora?”

"Pleasure Aurora, Mathias Pride," he made a gesture towards Hess to indicate the need to supply a name. Unknown to him, the girl was armed with pepper spray. That might be problematic.

Sounds like a Jürgen or Galvatron issue.

“H-hey, uh, wh- what is going on!?"

"A date," he announced before he wordlessly pointed at Jürgen again. The dumb-faced guy would be thrilled, she showed up and maybe she would even talk to him. Well, until he made a fool out of himself. He did not expect the date to last long or go well. "His friend is on the way too, pick whichever one you like better," he really was not trying hard to explain the situation. He was pouring Winnie a large cup of strawberry juice. "I like these clothes~" he claimed as he offered her a nearly full large glass.

The other arrived shortly thereafter, he vaguely recognized her due to his fanboy interest in quidditch. Dont't stare. Don't stare. If you do you will be wearing this spread... He reminded himself.

“Who sent me the letter to come here and why am I even here? You look to be even in numbers so why bother with me?”

"I did," Mathias announced. "My cousin and his friend need girls to teach them how to talk to girls, you seemed pretty and nice," she was a quidditch player so he knew her name in truth. "For your suffering, I can pay in sandwiches the house elves displaced."
