Campion Taylor

Alice: 39 years old (February 27th)

• Alice is an Irish-born mother of nine children. She is a Muggle and met Frederick while he was out-and-about in their hometown of Dingle, and they instantly hit it off. She shares a close resemblance with Campion, with him inheriting her hair and eye colors. As a young adult, Alice began running a seaming / tailoring business, which Frederick joined after the two were married. She did not learn that Frederick was a wizard until their eldest, Clover, received her Hogwarts letter, though the remainder of the children's letters were no surprise.

Frederick: 39 years old (December 4th)

• Frederick is a Muggleborn wizard, born and raised near Dingle, Ireland. Upon his entry to Hogwarts, he was sorted into Gryffindor, where he made many friends and caused plenty of ruckus. Now, he runs a business out of home for clothing tailoring / seaming with his wife, Alice, in the countryside near Dingle, Ireland: Close enough to town for business, but far enough that the children's magical antics (and his own, sometimes) go unnoticed by Muggles. He is a kind, attentive father, and is always quick to answer an owl or help with summer homework.
• Blond hair, blue eyes. 5'10" (177.8cm) and approximately 160lbs (72.57kg).

Clover: 19 years old (August 17th)

• Clover is a 19-year-old Half-blood witch and Gryffindor alum. She is Campion's eldest sibling and, as the first child of many, plays a large role in caring for her younger siblings still at home and during the summer. To get out of the house and to earn her own money, she works at a hole-in-the-wall (literally) Wizarding restaurant in Dingle using one of the two family cars for transport. As a young adult, she can be described as somewhat of a risk taker as she expands from the limited, parentified experiences of her childhood. She sometimes resents her parents for having so many children, but mostly keeps this to herself.
• Brown hair, blue eyes. 5'5" (165cm) and approximately 125lbs (57kg).

Ash: 5 years old (November 10th)

• Ash is the current youngest of eight, though he is very excitedly awaiting the arrival of his baby sister. He has yet to display any accidental magic, and is, overall, a very shy and timid boy, taking after Campion. He is particularly attached to Campion out of all of his siblings, and seeks him for any help he needs or even just to show him drawings or things he has built with blocks. He sometimes accompanies Campion on his wayward and nature-bound adventures, though Campion makes sure not to go too far from home with Ash in tow. With people he knows, Ash is playful and boisterous, and, unlike Campion, he enjoys a good book, though he cannot yet read well.
• Blond hair, green eyes. 3'10" (115cm) and approximately 42lbs (19kg).

Rose: 0 months old (May 9th)

• Rose is a newborn baby, and has yet to develop her personality. She spends her days sleeping, eating, and looking around to learn about the world.
• Strawberry blond hair, brown eyes. 19.5" (49.5cm) and approximately 7lbs (3.18kg).

Ivy: 17 years old (July 3rd)

• Ivy is a Half-blood witch currently attending Hogwarts as a Ravenclaw 7th year. She isn't necessarily book-smart, but passes her classes well enough, and is focused on studying for her NEWTs. Her goal is to be a Healer and work abroad at St. Mungo's, though her parents, while supportive of her being a Healer, try to encourage her to work at a smaller clinic or hospital closer to home. Ivy is a creative soul, and excels in anything musical or artistic. She can be a bit of a loner, not for dislike of people, but rather for focus on her artistic endeavors. She is prone to neglecting her studies in favor of drawing or practicing an instrument.

Marigold: 16 years old (September 8th)

• Marigold is a Half-blood witch currently attending Hogwarts as a Ravenclaw 5th year. She is often described as the book-smart child of the bunch, and tends to pass her classes with flying colors. She can, however, be very snippy when annoyed, which is often. She's currently focused on studying for her OWLs, and those who interrupt her work tend to get snapped at. She does love her family and her siblings, but struggles with her own self-worth and often takes it out on other people. As a result, she doesn't have a strong support system and only has a few friends. She doesn't know yet what she wants to do when she graduates Hogwarts - maybe be a professor herself, or a tutor for primary school-aged wizarding children.

Poppy: 14 years old (May 17th)

• Poppy is a Half-blood witch currently attending Hogwarts as a Hufflepuff 4th year. She is a very friendly girl who achieves average grades. She is a friend of many, and is Campion's biggest supporter at Hogwarts, especially with them being in the same house. She broke the pattern her elder sisters were beginning to form with being sorted into Ravenclaw, and was the first to make members of the family belong in three separate houses. Poppy is an unrelenting optimist, and will always extend a hand to anyone in need. Her goal after Hogwarts is to work for a nonprofit charity organization, though she hasn't decided which one yet.

Basil: 13 years old (January 3rd)

• Basil is a Half-blood wizard currently attending Hogwarts as a Gryffindor 2nd year. He is especially close with his twin sister, Violet, though as they get older, they're beginning to form friendships and interests outside of one another. He wants to be an Auror when he graduates, and excels in Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions classes. He can be a bit of a prankster. Sometimes, he goes too far with his pranks. However, he is overall a kind, well-rounded boy who will happily provide support for those who ask, though his own maturity levels are that of a young teenage boy, and what he can offer is sometimes limited.
• Brown hair, brown eyes. 5'6" (168cm) and approximately 115lbs (52kg).

Violet: 13 years old (January 3rd)

• Violet is a Half-blood witch currently attending Hogwarts as a Gryffindor 2nd year. She is Basil's twin sister, and the two are very close, though as they get older, they're beginning to explore more individuality. The two are very similar personality-wise: both are pranksters, and both have an underlying need to be helpful. However, Violet, like Ivy, wants to be a Healer when she graduates Hogwarts. Violet is especially helpful when it comes to homework given her detailed notes and uncanny memory, though she suffers from testing anxiety and as a result does not receive top grades. Campion often comes to her for help with his own homework, and she is happy to oblige.
• Brown hair, brown eyes. 5'3" (160cm) and approximately 110lbs (50kg).

• Máire is Campion's maternal grandmother. She is a Muggle, though is aware of the Taylors' magic. She is a kindly woman, aged 68 (August 15th). She seems quiet at first, but easily settles and takes control of a room. She speaks Gaelic fluently, and has passed on the language to her daughters and grandchildren. Máire values modesty, kindness, and endurance, and hardly takes 'no' for an answer, particularly when it comes to chores or schoolwork. She is also a fierce protector, and will stop at nothing to support her family. Being somewhat traditional, she didn't take Campion's transition very well at the start, and still sometimes messes up his pronouns or calls him her granddaughter. She is Roman Catholic, and practices the faith.

• Sean is Campion's maternal grandfather. He is a Muggle, though is aware of the Taylors' magic. He is 70 years old (March 17th). He is also a very traditional man, struggling with Campion's transition. He tends to avoid his pronouns and refers to him as his grandchild exclusively, but does love Campion as well as his other grandchildren fiercely. He is quiet, and rarely says anything unless he deems it worth saying. He expects his family to do what needs to be done without complaint or talking back, but is patient when someone is struggling. He also speaks Gaelic fluently, having grown up in a Gaeltacht area in Kerry. Like his wife, he is also Roman Catholic.

• Brigid is Campion's paternal grandmother. She is a Muggle, though is aware of the Taylors' magic having raised a Muggleborn son herself. She is 66 years old (February 1st). She is warm, talkative, and very keen. She comes across as incredibly welcoming and though she is Roman Catholic, she had little issue with Campion's transition from the start. In fact, she was one of his biggest supporters and encouraged his parents to allow him to explore his gender identity from a young age. Brigid likes to fill silences not because she finds them uncomfortable, but because she is eager for connection. She has a total of seven children, with Frederick being the youngest (and quite the surprise when his Hogwarts letter came in!). If someone appears to be lonely, she will happily take their side.

• Patrick is Campion's paternal grandfather. He is a Muggle, though is aware of the Taylors' magic having raised a Muggleborn son himself. He is 69 years old (April 24th). Patrick and Brigid married when they were just 18 and 21, and have since developed a very large family including seven of their own children. He is a practical man who has spent his entire life solving problems both at work and at home. Patrick is generally slow to show emotion, causing people to often wonder what he's actually feeling. This has been a point of contention in the family, especially when something significant happens and he spends more time contemplating than saying anything. He is also Roman Catholic. Like his wife, he has been very supportive of Campion's transition.

• Michael is Campion's paternal uncle, and Laura is his wife. Michael is 48 (May 12th), and together they have 4 children, all Muggles. Both Michael and Laura are Muggles and are Roman Catholic, like the rest of the family. They have been supportive of Campion through his transition. Michael is a firm, blunt man, and his wife is similar in nature. He's reliable, practical, and authoritative, often taking control of a room when it becomes hectic. He took it hardest when Frederick got his Hogwarts letter, going so far as to say that he was dismissive of it or even angry, but he has since mellowed considerably. Michael views Campion as being too soft, and tries to help the boy 'man up' when he's around him.

• Siobhán is Campion's paternal aunt, and Colm is her husband. Siobhán is 46 years old (September 3rd), and they have 3 children together. Both Siobhán and Colm are Muggles, as well as their children, and they are Roman Catholic. They are likely the least supportive persons in Campion's family, struggling to use his pronouns or to refer to him as a nephew. In the early years of his transition, they often disregarded it entirely, and still exclusively purchase him 'feminine' gifts. They frequently speak in hushed tones about Campion, even sometimes to his face, regarding his transition and sometimes use religion as a backbone for their argument against it. They are not unkind, and genuinely want the best for Campion, but what they view as what's best for him is misguided and ill-informed. This opinion has been passed down to their three children, who are not Campion's favorite cousins.

• Declan is Campion's paternal uncle, and Fiona is his wife. Declan is 45 years old (January 28th). The two have two children together. Like Colm and Siobhán, Declan is not particularly supportive of Campion's transition, though Fiona is. As such, he doesn't speak this aloud, but tends to ignore Campion entirely as a result. Fiona, on the other hand, is much kinder and supportive, and has passed her opinions down to her children. Declan has a fierce but quiet personality, and often gossips behind other people's backs. He is the main source for family gossip, freely sharing it with those that will listen.

• Aoife is Campion's paternal aunt, and Mark is her husband. Aoife is 43 years old (July 19th). The two have two children together. Aoife is Campion's closest aunt. She often visits with her husband and her children, who attended primary school with Campion though not in the same grade. She is a kind, soft-spoken woman, though, like Campion, will readily stand up for what she believes is right. She also has a strong sense of right vs. wrong and will often defend Campion at family gatherings if anyone says an ill word against him.

• Brian is Campion's paternal uncle, and Sarah is his wife. Brian is 41 years old (November 6th). The two have one child together. Brian is easygoing and humorous, often diffusing conflict with a joke or change of subject. Brian is the mediator of the family, soothing bonds damaged by conflict. He was the least bothered by Frederick's magic, and was rather curious and adaptable. He enjoyed hearing about Frederick's adventures at school, and readily awaits the stories the children tell at family gatherings. He and Sarah are very supportive of Campion's transition, and have been from the start. Their own child, Luke, is gender-nonconforming, and they often look to Alice and Frederick for advice on parenting him.

• Niamh is Campion's paternal aunt, and Daniel is her husband. Niamh is 40 years old (March 2nd), and she and Daniel have one child of their own. Niamh lives the furthest from the family, as Daniel's job took them abroad to England. However, they return multiple times per year for family gatherings with small gifts for everyone. They are neither here nor there regarding Campion's transition, and tend to just ignore it. Not for the worse, though. They do use his name and pronouns, referring to him as their nephew in casual conversation. They just don't view it as a big deal one way or the other, and regard him in the same way they regard their other nieces and nephews.

• Caitríona is Campion's maternal aunt, and Seamus is her husband. She is 42 years old (October 11th), and she and Seamus have three children together. They live close by in Kerry, though don't visit too often, often being caught up in work. They are the most well-off of the family, working high-level jobs. They like to be extravagant with birthdays when they can, and do visit for the family gatherings that occur multiple times per year generally at Frederick and Alice's house. Caitríona is a hardworking woman who tolerates no nonsense, and will always, without fail, quiz the children on their (Muggle) schoolwork during visits. She is aware of the family's magic, if only because accidental magic at family gatherings isn't a particularly uncommon occurrence.

• Eileen is Campion's maternal aunt, and Tomás is her husband. She is 36 years old (June 27th), and she and Tomás have two children. They are very proud of their Irish heritage, taking large steps at re-claiming their culture, including speaking Gaelic as frequently as they speak English. They homeschool their children using the Irish language rather than English in their instruction. Both Eileen and Tomás work from home, and they are able to frequently visit other family members, and often babysit as well. They live in Dingle directly near the seaside, and Frederick and Alice regularly meet them with all the children on a nearby beach when the weather is nice.

• Jack, Erin, Conor, and Sophie are the children of Michael and Laura Taylor, and are Campion's paternal cousins. They are respectively 20 (April 9th), 18 (August 22nd), 16 (January 14th), and 14 (June 3rd). Campion most regularly sees Conor and Sophie, though Jack and Erin are often present at family gatherings as well. Both adult children are currently unmarried and without children. They have rambunctious personalities, often being viewed as the 'problem children' of the bunch, and as a result, they get on especially well with Basil and Violet. Sophie is especially close with Violet, and the two exchange letters regularly. They are aware of the family's magic, and view it with awe, frequently lamenting that they don't have magic themselves.

• Aoibhín, Liam, and Róisín are the children of Colm and Siobhán O'Leary. They are respectively 17 (March 30th), 15 (October 12th), and 13 (December 5th). They are well-mannered in front of Campion's family, but when alone with him, often pick on him. This is because they view his transition in a negative light, and, though they use his correct pronouns when at family gatherings, they do not do so amongst each other or even when alone with Campion. He doesn't talk about it, but they frequently tease, make fun of, and even bully him. This is especially the case for Róisín, who is the closest to him in age. She likes to catch him unawares and alone and call him names or insist that he's confused. Campion generally responds to this by walking away or avoiding being alone while family gatherings are in progress.

• Cian and Niamh are the children of Declan and Fiona Taylor. They are 14 (February 18th) and 12 (July 7th), respectively. They have inherited Fiona's position regarding Campion's transition, and are supportive and kind to him. Both will stand up for him if someone else, including their father, misgenders him. They are very studious in personality, and view the family's magic with an academic eye. They wonder about the science and especially the heritability of it, and ask Campion and his siblings many questions regarding it.

• Ella and Finn are the children of Mark and Aoife Keane. They are 13 (May 25th) and 11 (September 9th), respectively. Having just turned 11 in September, Finn has yet to give up on receiving his Hogwarts letter, and strongly wishes he could attend in the fall. Ella knows she isn't magical herself, but joins Finn in looking out for any possible signs of accidental magic from him. They often chatter about magic, and also ask many questions regarding it. They are supportive of Campion, and while Ella gravitates towards the twins, Finn is almost always at Campion's side during family gatherings and visits. Luckily for Finn, he will soon be receiving his Hogwarts letter and will be attending in autumn!

• Luke is the child of Brian and Sarah Taylor. He is 10 years old (November 28th). He is gender-nonconforming, though still identifies as a boy. He enjoys wearing dresses, leggings, etc. and in general gets along better with girls than boys. He looks up to Campion as a role model, and loves spending time with his cousins. Luke is a precocious child of great wit, and often has a come back for anyone with an ill word against him or his family. He excels both socially and academically, and has an ear for music. He can almost always be seen with his guitar in hand, especially at family gatherings when he likes to put on mini concerts.

• Isla is the child of Daniel and Niamh O'Connor. She lives in England with her parents, and as such is the only one in the family with an English accent as opposed to an Irish one. She is 8 years old (April 2nd). She laments being an only child, and is often jealous of Frederick and Alice's children for having so many playmates at hand. She attends a prestigious primary school in England, receiving average grades and participating in many school activities. She particularly enjoys gymnastics, and spends much of her time practicing.

• Patrick, Brigid, and Eoin are the children of Seamus and Caitríona Flaherty, and are the eldest of Campion's maternal cousins. They are 15 (January 6th), 13 (June 21st), and 11 (October 3rd) respectively. They are somewhat wealthy children, though have been raised to be modest regarding it. Still, they have plenty of nice things that they like to bring to family gatherings to show off, especially the latest gaming consoles which Campion and his family could never afford to get for everyone individually. Their mother is rigorous with their education, and they attend a Gaeltacht school in the area with after-school tutoring regardless of whether they are struggling or excelling in class.

• Saorise and Dáithí are the children of Tomás and Eileen Ó Sé. They are 9 (March 11th) and 7 (August 17th). The children are homeschooled exclusively in Gaelic, though speak English at home outside of their education. As a result, they often speak Gaelic with the family at gatherings, generally more fluent than any of the other children despite most of them attending Gaeltacht schools themselves. They are very high-energy children who love to play outside and get dirty, causing their parents to pack extra clothing so they can wash and change before dinner at family gatherings. Saorise tends towards Isla, though they are not related by blood. Dáithí is particularly fond of Ash, though he still views him as a little kid. Ash looks up to him a lot, and the two converse almost exclusively in Gaelic.
