Donald Robinson | First Year | Slytherin

Donald Robinson - artistically talented and awkard with his body, Donald is a shy boy. That shyness that makes him awkard enough to stutter when talking to girls and that makes him anxious when a teacher could ask him to go up to the blackboard. Thankfully, with his family awfully rich he never needed to get over this shyness, since his childhood has rarely been spent among his peers and much more with tutor and private teachers alike. Thus, there's an air of entitlement to the boy, a "of course you should serve me, everyone did in my manor".

Biography

Born when the twilight hit the glassworks on Robinson Mansion on the 14th of August 2013, Donald is the son of Benjamin and Mathilda (née Wigan) Robinson, both descendants of pureblooded families. Their bethrotal wasn't born out of love, but political convienence by both parties: the Robinson House could boast a much more direct line to the wizards of old even if they were having big financial troubles thanks to Benjamin's father - Henry Robinson -, while the Wigan's strenght was in the acumen of Mathilda and her sisters, who had been able to invest the family's capital inside Gringott and other ventures.

Donald's childhood has been, for this exact reason, a secluded and pampered one. With miles of land both natural and magical he didn't really need to get out of the house, and there were always new wings or grounds to explore, since the Robinson Manor has been built around the 16th century and has layers upon layers of magical enchantments. The boy's first years have been punctuated by tutors - more often than not his extended family - and the occasional estimeed guests and their families during the winter or summer period - usually Mathilda or Benjamin' collaborators at the Ministry of Magic, where they work respectively as Emissary inside the International Confederation of Wizards and Obliviator at the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes.

With such a cold presence from his family - especially from Mathilda - the true guardians of Donald have been his private teachers and the ground/mansion keepers. More prominent above all it's Mr Abernathy, his art teacher, and Mrs Crowfort, the governess and housekeeper of the Robinson Mansion. They both acted, even if involuntarily, as parental figures to the boy: Mr Abernathy as the kind old man and Mrs Crowfort as stern parental figure. He knew of one other boy, a squib by the name of Richard, who frequently went to their manor. He did talk to him and exchanged a modicum of chit-chat during the years but never enough to Richard to consider him a friend.

Donald's first instance of magic was around the age of 6. While walking with one of his tutors through the mansion' botanical garden a tree branch was ready to struck him, but Donald involutarily made the branch bounce off of him.
