H I S T O R Y . Winifred has spent the majority of her life as an archetypical crazy witch living in the woods, and hails from a long line of similar hermits and recluses. The Bonnets have always been a relatively unpopular wizarding family that historically keep to themselves, and nowadays they've all but died out. As an only child, Winifred has always been aggressively antisocial, even as a toddler she had a bad habit of accidentally making glass windows shatter whenever she cried. While at Hogwarts she got into dozens of petty brawls and duels with any student that had the misfortune of getting on her nerves. After graduation she settled back into her run-down ancestral family cottage in Wales with her aging father, where she accidentally gained a bit of a reputation amongst the nearby magical villages for her spot-on predictions and prophecies that she had a habit of spouting at odd intervals. Unfortunately for Winifred, this meant people from all over the country were willing to put up with her sour personality in order to ask their fortune-- disturbing her well-earned peace and trampling her vegetable garden. She refuses to speak to most of them on a whim, and anyone who overstays their limited welcome can expect a swift kick in the rear. Despite her harsh exterior, she does have a tender spot for promising children in need of her help... even though she'd hex the living daylights out of whoever accused her of such softness. She's privately quite pleased to teach the younger generation everything she knows at her new position at Hogwarts. Most of the kids here are little monsters, in her opinion, but nevertheless she'd kill to protect them. .

P E R S O N A L I T Y Miss Bonnet is notoriously difficult to handle, but if one thing's for damn sure it's that the woman knows what she's talking about. Her inner eye is cranked wide open, which she'll gripe about to anyone that listens. Every other word out of Winifred's mouth that isn't a prediction is a complaint. Frankly, most people consider her manner abrasive and unpleasant. She could never be bothered to care, and is quite content to be left well alone by the rest of society.
