Requested Race: Seer
Ophelia Rivers had been strange her entire life. People her age didn't like her because of her cold and seemingly uncaring and heartless personality. Besides the fact that she just plain didn't like people, she also kept away from others for another reason. She could... see things. She wouldn't be so arrogant as to describe it as telling the future, it was more so minor intuitions that caused her to change her focus that helped her along in life. At least, that's how it started out. Eventually it turned into a sense of deja vu, where she could have sworn she saw something at an earlier time, or miraculously was able to grab a box about to fall on one of her younger siblings heads seeming before it had even started to fall.
When Ophelia was little, it was simple things that kept her out of trouble from her parents (when they were actually home for once). For example, she would stay up late reading books, and would get a random feeling that she needed to put her book away or she would be caught. Low and behold, as soon as she would tuck her book under her pillow and pretend to be asleep, the light would flick on down the hallways, followed by muffled footsteps and the quiet creaking of her door that signals her mother or father was checking to make sure she was really asleep (although she wasn't, but her parents didn't need to know that small detail).
But then it turned into more than just an intuition. Perhaps it had happened before this, but Ophelia's first memory of her power growing stronger was when she was folding laundry with her mother and her younger brother. Her mother had just turned to grab another piece of clothing when she accidently knocked over the box of cleaner. As her mother turned to grab the clothing item, Ophelia went ridged, and her eyes seemed to glow a luminescent white for a quarter of a second before her hands darted out and stopped the box before it could even leave the shelf. Her brother giggled and clapped happily, unaware of what had almost happened to him (the box likely would have landed on his head), while her mother turned to her, lips parted in shock and...was that jealousy she detected deep in her mothers eyes?
Ophelia's mother had scooped up her baby brother and rushed him off to play with his other siblings before going to speak to her husband privately. Ophelia couldn't make out the harsh whispers from the other side of the door, even when she pressed her ear to it, and she almost tumbled onto her face when her father suddenly opened it to call her in so that he might speak with her.
Bay Rivers told her of her great grandmother (her mothers grandmother), Winnie Walters, who had happened to be a seer. Ophelia's parents had thought it would have been impossible for anyone else in the family to show signs of being a seer because of it's rarity and being passed down on a recessive gene. Bay wasn't sure who was a seer on his side of the family, but it was there clear as day. Delilah could recognize the signs of a seer from a mile away, having wished to be just like her grandmother since she understood what her grandmother was. That jealousy that Ophelia had seen was real, and it was only going to grow as her gift got stronger, turning her hair from an already white blonde to a white.

Living with 7 other siblings can be incredibly difficult. Especially when in the whole family, there are three sets of twins. Toys are thrown around in fights, bed and couch pillows were used as weapons and shields, and physical violence is a normal solution to problems. Whoever won the fight would be correct and get what they wanted from the other sibling, wether that be bragging rights or a certain toy.
This was the normal at home life for Alina Silvers. The only calm ones in the entire house were Alina, her twin Aimee, their nanny Alula, and their older brothers Alex and Jackson (but they don't really count because they are always away). Stray toys, pillows, punches and kicks were all over the place in their two story home in London. Alina had to be the best at dodging every thing that came at her. Especially since she was the one who would try to stop the fights. Sometimes, a bouncy rubber ball would ricochet off of Dalia and come flying right at her face. In the beginning, this would hit her and both Dalia and Drew would get a punishment from Alula. After time, everything that came at her, she would somehow dodge, and the item thrown would occasionally hit the person behind her, who would normally be carrying a pillow shield with them. Sometimes that was Luke or Liam, cheering their choice of twin on and making bets. Other times, it was Alula, who had just walked up to tell whoever was fighting off.
The other thing, the twins, Luke and Liam would often set up quill slingshots, egg catapults, trip wires that shoot out arrows made out of non-burning magical firecrackers. For some reason, Alula never reported these harmless trickd their parents, but was often found laughing and Luke and Liam's tricks. The twins always disabled and hid their tricks when the parents of the Silvers Household came back from their work periods. On multiple occations, Alina would have to duck under a firecracker arrow, or side step away from an egg or dulled quill. Often times, she would see her siblings and Alula walking to their bathrooms to wash egg out of their hair or clean soot oof their faces. Whenever Alina saw Alula walking to her bathroom, the 21 year old half-blood witch would be struggling to walk due to the amount of laughter she was suffering from. Others like Alex would be mumbling about how stuipid their tricks were and how he never saw Alina walking to the bathroom to get cleaned up.

Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):
Ok. Bailey Glade is a muggle born, so she didn't know that she had magic in her blood till the age of Eight. At the age of Five Bailey had started Takewondo classes in London. That was because there was no dojo in Leeds, so two to five times a week Bailey's mother would take her to London to participate in class. Sense Bailey was homeschooled (starting at the age of 8 after the Library incident where her magic appeared), this was ok. She could do schoolwork on the train, and her mother was there to help her if she needed help. Bailey was very dedicated to her Martial Arts studies, and rose thru the ranks. When she left for Hogwarts, Bailey was a second degree black belt in the ATA. ( American Takewondo Association or Always Take Action). Bailey also is a natural born leader. She helps teach Takewondo, and at Hogwarts took over the Martial Arts Club from Griselda Eldheart, a third year Gryffindor Prefect. Knowing Takewondo has made Bailey a exceptional leader; she has a strong voice, she is encouraging, and sometimes strict ( which is sometimes needed). Leadership, which Bailey learned from Takewondo, has helped her in her day-to-day life. As a Taekwondo instructor, Bailey has helped pass on the Leadership skill and has filled Bailey with pride. She was often the highest rank in class, and had the most experience, besides her instructor; this also filled Bailey with pride.
Bailey is nothing short of phenomenal in the Takewondo world. She went to the District Championships twice, once with traditional forms and once with combat weapons. Forms is where you show off your form that you learned. You learn certain forms according to what rank you are. Combat weapons is when you and a partner, covered with protective gear, try and hit the other person with a padded weapon. Bailey also competed in traditional weapons (showing off a form that is again given to you according to your rank) and traditional sparring (punching and kicking a partner who, like you, are padded with protective gear).
Bailey's dream, incase this wizarding thing doesn't work out is to teach Taekwondo for a living, since it brings her such immense joy and pleasure. She also once had the dream of becoming a professional chef, but that is another story to be told another time.
This is why Bailey Glade deserves to be a Martial Artists.

Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it):
ReducioWho would've guessed that you could actually learn something while at Hogwarts? Not Adam — well, not if those things didn't involve killer insects or fire in any form. But a year on probation, under threat of being pulled out of school by his mother, gave the fourth-year student a new view of the castle he'd spent so much time living in.
With reckless danger strictly off the table, Adam started paying more attention in his classes than ever before. He studied the finer points of wand movement and incantation etymology. He gave Herbology and Astronomy his best shot and even had a good time doing it. And here's something he never thought he'd say: over the course of the year, Adam grew the slightest bit fonder of History of Magic. Staying out of trouble helped Adam focus on his studies and learn more about the magic that he took for granted. Of course, he missed the days when he'd done just enough work to pass his classes and spent the rest of his time on the grounds with friends. But since this was an important year, and since he knew that Mum would be watching him as closely as she possibly could after the incidents of last spring, he played the model student for a while. As it turned out, it wasn't half-bad.
Stepping out of the usual adventures did more than just boost Adam's grades, too. His charge-right-in mindset became more reserved, allowing him to take his time and study things a little closer than he used to. The boy became more perceptive of the buzzing environment around him — or at least the parts that he was allowed to stick his nose into. He noticed details about the paintings of Hogwarts that had eluded him for over three years. He began to observe curious little things about his classmates in the way they moved, or spoke, or acted. All the habits that made them unique were a bit easier to pick out when Adam was really looking. At one point, he even started to enjoy answering the riddles of the eagle-shaped door knocker that guarded the Ravenclaw Common Room (a task that became notably less fun when the weather got colder).
In some small way, his self-slash-mother-imposed isolation from Hectic Hogwarts was a blessing, because it allowed him to see Calm, Studious Hogwarts just under the surface. Now, at the beginning of his fourth-year spring, Adam is more confident in his Ravenclaw status and his capabilities as a young wizard. He is more observant and careful than he's been in the past. He can only hope that these traits will survive into fifth year, when he plans to break free of his mum's restrictions and dive headfirst back into the chaos that endears the school to him so much.Word Count: 470

Describe why this fits your character (not why you the player want it): The daughter of a Brazilian model, it'd almost be strange if Vivian wasn't beautiful. As long as she can remember, she's been praised for her appearance: her soft, golden skin, her blonde hair and, most of all, her stunning blue eyes. Her teachers, her relatives, her classmates--everybody noticed it. Part of the reason Vivian grew up to be so mischievous, confident and outgoing is that she never had the slightest insecurity about her appearance--how could she? All the boys in her class thought she was pretty, so even when she was little she learnt to be flirtatious and cheeky. There's something about a pretty girl that allows her to exert a certain amount of control over her classmates, especially if she has the attitude to back it up. This was certainly true in Vivi's case. Her beauty was a large party of the reason she had so many friends; after all, who wouldn't want to be around someone so lovely. Vivi didn't always use this strange power she had for the best purposes, however: she could sometimes be manipulative and mean, but most of all vengeful.
Coming from a nouveau riche background, Vivian often travelled to New York, Paris or Milan with her mother to attend fashion shows, where she saw nothing but girls who looked as beautiful as her, and she grew to think that was just the way the world worked. There reached a point where, if she was being honest, she didn't want to hang out with someone who was as perfect as her. To this day, Vivian subconsciously categorises people according to their looks, and to a lesser extent, their wealth, with the beautiful and the wealthy at the top of her list, simply because they're the people she can relate to the most.
Vivian also participated in child beauty pageants, which she usually won. When she didn't, however, a sense of dread and the beginnings of insecurity washed over her. But whether she won or lost, the shows taught her to not want to go out looking anything less than perfect, or wearing anything less than fabulous. She also began using makeup at a very early age, something her parents were quite liberal about, in order to enhance her already exquisite features.
In short, Vivian is a girl who is extremely preoccupied with her appearance--this manifests in various ways, whether it be her love of haute couture, makeup or shopping. She unconsciously prefers the society of those who are as beautiful as her. Even though she is confident in her appearance, there is a deep-rooted insecurity inside her, which requires constant validation and aesthetic maintenance to suppress.

Comprehend Languages
Chosen Language
VeelaWhy this fits my character?
ReducioAmethyst had become eight years old a few months before the birth of Candy, her little sister. She'd had her first introduction to magic soon after, and she'd just begun to read - with a vengeance. She adored it, and she inhaled every book she came across within days of discovering them, often even less time that that. She'd been reading all sorts of books about magic, mostly. So when she discovered magical new languages, she was intrigued.
She knew about common languages, of course. There was German, French, Italian, Spanish, to name a few. She knew there were so many more - too many to count, really - but she'd never heard of magic languages. She learned about the language of trolls, of giants. She learned about a nonsense language, and about the language of merpeople (Mermish). She learned about Parseltongue. It was a language of snakes, and she learned that some people could speak it! She tried her hand at it, but she was not successful, despite her numerous attempts. It just wasn't for her.
The final language she learned was the language of Veelas. Something about Veelas spoke to her. Maybe it was their magic, or their astonishing beauty. Maybe it was their skin, bright and glowing. She wasn't sure. But they were mesmerizing, and she wanted to learn more about them.
And so she devoured books about them, and soon enough, she started to learn the language. It wasn't all that surprising, really. She read so many books, watched so many documentaries about them, that it should have been predictable. But it wasn't. At least, not for her.
So, one day she found a book written in Veela. She didn't even think, she just read it. It was second nature to her, by then. So it wasn't until days later that she realized she'd read Veela! She had learned an entirely new language just from reading. Although it was incredibly fun, she wasn't sure learning this new language would be entirely helpful to her.
Nonetheless, she was thrilled with her new skill, and she practiced regularly. Once, she even translated a simple story into Veela. She was sure it was riddled with mistakes, but she had done it! She was so proud of herself, but she mostly kept it to herself. Not out of secrecy or shame, but because she didn’t want to brag. And it wasn’t all that relevant to any conversation.Stats

Prodigal Charms LearnerWhy this suits my character:
ReducioLillian nearly bubbled over with excitement as she studied the letter— those men had told her that she was a witch (an actual, magical witch— she could barely believe it) and that she was accepted into this school (Hogwarts: what a funny name) to learn magic. It had taken a bit of convincing on their side, but the men eventually convinced Lillian's parents that it was a good opportunity, and that it absolutely was not a scam. Lillian, obviously, was on track from the first moment (what kind of self-respecting 11 year old passes on the chance to learn actual magic?).
And so started Lillian's love for everything magical: for reading about veela and dragons and trolls, for studying the map of hogwarts that came with the book as she waited for the first day, for mulling over potions recipes (and trying to piece them together in the kitchen; no such luck) and, most of all, for charms.
Lillian's copy of Miranda Goshawk's Book of Spells was beat-up and dog-eared from use (she preferred to call it "well-loved", which, well, it was). As a muggle-born with an great love for fantasy, charms were enchanting to her, and she pored over every movement and incantation with great attention, enacting them with a pencil. She couldn't do magic at home, the men had said, but Lillian was too excited to just do nothing. She'd practice, so that when she was allowed to use her wand (made with phoenix feather— how strange), at Hogwarts, Lillian could perform the spells with ease. As she was a very imaginative young girl, Lillian took great pleasure in imagining what the charms could do: how they could make objects fly, dolls dance, create light out of nothing, and even open locks. The spells fascinated her, in every way.
When she got to Hogwarts, Lillian performed extraordinarily in Charms classes: evidently, the practicing had paid off. She performed spells with ease and the finesse that comes with practicing (even if it was just with a pencil), and she was delighted by that. She continued to practice and improve her prowess, honing her talent.
Because of her imaginative character, her love for fantasy and all things magical, and the great effort I imagine she would've put into the spells, I think Lillian deserves the ability of being a Prodigal Charms Learner.Stats:

ReducioIt's a special day for Astoria. It's summer vacation. Astoria is 8 years old. And she walks in the garden of the Swann manor. She is trotting on the lawn when she sees a small white snake.
- Oh! Hi you! How is it going?
Astoria loves snakes. She always loved snakes. This explains his reaction. But she didn't speak English. Far from there. It was a hiss that came out of his mouth. It's Parseltongue. Astoria doesn't realize it. Because she is captivated by the snake and this is the first time that her power is manifested. But what is her amazement when she hears the snake answer her:
- Hello Assstoria. I'm doing well, and you?
Astoria is speechless. A ... A snake spoke to her and she understood! Which would mean that ... No! Impossible. She can't be speaking the language of snakes!
It's impossible. She cannot be Parseltongue! Unless...
- Uh. I'm fine. Do I speak the language of snakes?
Astoria is not shy. She feels at ease among the snakes. She found out about it the first time she saw muggles in a zoo. She begged her parents to free the poor snakes from the vivarium. They refused. Obviously. She utters a cry of happiness when the snake says to her:
- Of course you speak my language! But don't ask me why. I do not know.
His cry is so loud that he ends up warning his parents, who storm out to see what is happening. They see their daughter in the grass, leaping for joy with a snake beside her. At first, they don't understand. So Alice Swann asks:
- Astoria! What's happening?
The little girl stops her dance for joy. She hesitates to speak. It is still a special power! Being able to talk to snakes is not something you see every day. And it is often related to dark magic. But Astoria sees it as a gift, allowing her to talk to her favorite animal. She takes a deep breath.
- Mom, Dad, I think I can talk to snakes. Well, not, I believe but rather, I know that I can do it.
An embarrassed silence settles. Astoria's parents look at each other. Then his father speaks.
- Astoria, what exactly happened?
The little one is not sure if she can answer. She doesn't want to lie to her parents but at the same time, she doesn't really want to tell them that she said hello to a snake. In front of the insistent gaze of her father, she launches out:
- Well, I saw the snake and said hello to it. Then he said hello to me and I was very surprised to understand him. So I asked him if I spoke the language of snakes. He told me yes but he didn't know why. So, I was so happy and I shouted for joy.
Alice and James Swan look at their daughter in astonishment. Alice said in a soft voice:
- Sweetheart, but why are you so glad you can talk to snakes?
- Because it's my favorite animal and I've always wanted to talk to them.
- So, don't you mind being Parseltongue? You know you'll have to be very discreet with that. Do you promise me to be careful?
Astoria nods yes. She will be discreet. And she will be very careful. She promises. 567 wordsSTAMINA: 5
