The Journey Begins  Solo
Piper tugged at her father's sleeve. "C'mon! I might miss the train! I don't want to miss anything!"
Her father rubbed his left eye. "Piper, dear, you came about 10 minutes early."
Piper rolled her eyes. "I don't care, I could still miss if you don't hurry up!" she said, placing her hands on her hips. "Who knows what time the wizards and witches wake up? Maybe 1 hour early!"
Her mother caught up, dragging behind her a crying toddler, Piper's 5 year old brother, Peter. "Give your father a break, Piper," her mother said. "Peggy come on."
"I said I didn't want to come, Mum!" Peggy complained.
Her mother tugged at Peter's sleeves as he dragged his feet on the floor, crying. "You have to say goodbye to your sister."
Peggy rolled her eyes and followed. Piper stood in front of the Hogwarts Express. It was almost too much to take in.
"This is it," her father said, kissing his daughter on the cheek. "Good luck kiddo."
Piper's mother finally caught up, handing her son to her older daughter. "Goodbye Piper, don't forget to write. We'll see you during winter break."
"Yeah," Piper agreed, turning around. "See you during winter break." She ran up to her parents and hugged them. "Bye Mum, bye Dad."
She approached her little brother. "Bye Peter." The toddler clapped his hands. "Buh bye," he said hugging her.
Finally, Piper approached her older sister. "Bye Pegs. Take care, okay?"
"Yeah," Peggy said, a slight smile on her face. "Bye," she said, and patted Piper's head.
Piper walked up to the entrance of the train and looked back at her family one last time. Winter break seemed a long time away. Would she even make friends? What if nobody liked her. No, she'd be fine. She was great at making friends. She was about to go and learn magic! She stared at her mum and her dad, and waved goodbye one last time.
With a deep breathe, she lifted her foot, and stepped into the train.

“Whatever you are, be a good one.”
