Rest and Relaxation, Supposedly
As Toni sat in the library, studying for her upcoming potions test, she felt the warmth of the sun begin to beat down upon her through the lengthy stain glass window. She turned her head towards the distraction and was immediately blinded by the bright light of the day.
"Maybe studying outside might be a good idea, after all, when will I come across another day as glorious as this one?" She concluded as she began to gently put her books in her bag. She exited the library and headed for the grounds, checking her watch. She had 30 minutes until her lunch break was over.
Once she made it outside, she was amazed by the gust of warm air that hit her. "What crazy weather." She thought, "this is the perfect opportunity to gain a tan...but where can I get the most sun?" After a few ticks of thinking, she decided to head towards the Great Lake. Where better to get a tan than surrounded by water? A vast body reflecting light?
She wandered towards the lake and noticed a lovely shaded tree. She moseyed towards it, plopping her back down a few yards away from the tree. She was too busy trying to get near the water to notice the girl nestled under the tree.
As Toni began to take her shoes off, she noticed movement under the ripples. She leaned in closer to investigate, when the slippery sand began to move beneath her. She began to fumble as the sand continued to shuffle under her weight. Before she knew it she lost her footing completely, plummeting headlong into the mucky waves.
