Basking in the Sun Kayden Dragoon

Kevin hummed as he plopped himself down under the large tree in the courtyard. Today had been tiring. It was already the end of the day and he was finally done with classes. He didn't mind laying in the soft grass with the hood over his eyes. He didn't mind at all. In fact he had taken pride in the fact that he was about to go to sleep, however, he knew that he was going to be meeting his friend.

Pushing himself up, Kevin ran a hand through his hair and pushed his hood back and off his head. Reaching into his bag, Kevin began to pull out the miniature chess set his mother had sent him from home. He didn't know if Kayden enjoyed chess, however, Kevin certainly didn't mind playing by himself. Wizard's Chess was something that eased his mind, allowing him to focus on one thing instead of everything else.

So, while waiting for his friend, Kevin began to set up his chess board, smiling gently at the pieces who stretched from being confined for too long in the small box that held him. He didn't mind at all that the little figures made crude gestures. Had simply laughed and allowed them to set up the chess board. This was going to be a fun game, he didn't mind that he might not be able to finish. Those were his thoughts anyway.
