Willow decided she deserved a break from a break from all of the intense studying that she had been doing. Her friend Shae had told her about the wizard childhood stories, and she was all in. She was all in. She found books in the Hogwarts library of all the folk lore that she could find. She had a new journal, she had kind of an addiction for collecting them for different purposes. She had stacks of them piled up in in her dorm around her bed. Some of the pages were full until the end, some of them were completely empty. Like this one. This was newly designated for taking notes on the tales.
This one was a leather bound journal, with two dragons intertwined on the front. She had been waiting for the perfect subject for this one, and she felt like the old tales of wizards couldn't be more perfect. Honestly, she loved examining the cultural aspects of the world more than anything. She had everything set up on the table for a long day of reading, which she couldn't be more excited about. Willow opened up The Tales of Beedle and Bard, hearing that it was the classic place to start. Just before she forgot, she pulled her hair up to fully get into study mode.

Salomon loved the library. All the tales, all the myths and stories. He was sure, that he would find the right books, to the right adventures here. He already had the diaries of Merlin in the original, old English version. He searched for a story of an old Arabic sword, which was lost in the halls of this old, beautiful castle once, or maybe even stolen by someone. Salomon thought about the ghost, he encountered on the first day. Peeves was his name. A fealty little creature, certainly up to no good. Salomon liked him on the spot.
The young wizard was in full research mode, searching for more and more books, and the stack in his hands grew larger and larger. His heart might be as big as a lions and up for good adventures, but his arms were those of an eleven year old boy. He stumbled and fall, covering the library area in tones of old books. In his stubbornness, he also hit a cute girl, which does not seem to be older then him.
Salomon repeatedly apologized to the girl, which didn't seem to be happy about getting a full blown book attack onto her. He tried to recover all his books, when he saw, what the girl was reading. Tales of Beetle the Bard, more specifically, the version, Salomon originally was searching: A version from Beetle himself, written in 1522. This was a thing, that peaked the young boys excitement.
"I am so sorry, I didn't mean to hit you with those... Oh by Merlin's beard, is the original version of the Tales? The one with the picture of the three brothers in it? I was searching for that book the whole day..."

Willow was fully lost in the tales within the tome of Beedle the Bard, completely forgetting about taking notes in the first place. The stories had entranced her, taking her to a new world outside of the Hogwarts library. She wished she could've grown up with these tales, not that Dr. Seuss wasn't a great writer but these were just more interesting and believable in a way. She felt like she could be on the adventures that were detailed within the worn pages.
Suddenly she was knocked out of her trance with a cascade of books tumbling down. She whipped her head around, irritated that she had been broken out of the world not of her own volition. But her heart softened when she saw it was a boy her age, and in her house as well, grabbing the same types of adventures tales that she had. She recognized some of the titles as one that she saw and didn't pick up noting them in her head for a future pick up. She quickly got up and joined him in collecting the books. "Don't worry about it! Accidents happen." She stacked them up as she went, amazed that he got this far with this amount in his arms in the first place. She could carry five books at most, and that was stretching it.
She looked up at the book on her table, not realizing how rare of a version it was until he mentioned it. "Yeah, I found it tucked in a back corner. It was definitely out of place but I was still able to find it. We're supposed to be good finders, but I like to think that sometimes books find us when we need them most." She put the stack of his books that she had collected on the table. "I'm Willow by the way." Their meeting would be a funny tale of it's own if they were to become friends.

Salomons heart made a jump, when she smiled at him. Willow seemed like the type of person, he was searching. Quickly, he answered: "I am Salomon. You can call me Sammy, if you want to. It's easier. Thanks for the help, I will have to train my book-carrying skills, or find a spell for it."
Salomon takes the rest of the books to the table and sit's besides Willow. Curiously he looks over all the books, she has lying on the table. Adventure stories, beastiarys, and a book on wands and other magic items, written by the nice man, who sold him his own wand. Ollivander was his name, Sammy remembered.
"And yes, sometimes the right books find you. This whole castle is a magical place. Did you recognice, that some of the stairs are just moving? Changing their way, going into different places, all the time? I wonder, what treasures are hidden inside here. I mean, have you read about Nicolas Flammel? Or, the imfamous Luna Lovegood? So many mysteries, so many stories..."
Salomon realices, that he is talking without end to the cute girl. While catching his breath, he silences himself, looks curious and waits patiently for her to answer.

Sometimes she would feel childish for her love of what some might deem simple bedtime stories, but Sammy seemed to get it. He even talked a lot, just like her. She was giddy with excitement to find another puff that had her same qualities and interests. "Well Sammy, it's a joy to meet you!" Even though it was a crash landing meeting, she figured with their personalities that is the way to meet. She listened to him as she rattled off a couple of authors that she hadn't heard of and quickly wrote them down in her notebook to be sure that she would look them up later.
"I accidentally went on a wrong staircase at some point, I ended up a little bruised and battered because they don't let you through if you're not supposed to be going that way." She recalled the memory, it was a painful one as she bounded up a few stairs before the staircase caught up to her and sent her sliding back down to the base of the stairs. Luckily, there was no one around so she left with her pride intact at least. "I haven't heard of either of those people so far, I'm muggle-born so basically all my knowledge is what I've learned here. I never got to grow up with these wonderful stories, which is sad but at least I get to read them now!" She looked down at the books with a small smile, taking joy in the knowledge all across Hogwarts that she gets the privilege to take part in.

"Oh you are muggle-born? I envy you. It must be a great feeling to receive your letter and learn all those beautiful things. I grew up in the muggle-world, but with all the knowledge, because my parents are both witch and wizard. So, yeah, I love those stories, too. There is a saying in my mothers home country, that in all stories, there is a seed of truth."
Sammy smiles, as he looks at his new gained friend. He calms down a bit, realizing, that he was welcomed here. In his old school, a muggle one, people always seem to misunderstand him, which is partly because of his double-life as a wizarding child.
"So, do you like to grab a hot chocolate and read some more books? I think I can organize something from the kitchen. I also want to see them house-elfs. I heard, those are pretty friendly little creatures. I also wanted to investigate the castle a little more seeking for some treasures. I am a bit of a treasure-hunter, familiy-wise, you know?"
Sammy looks at the girl in front him. She has bruises and little cuts being as bumbling as Salomon himself. She also seems to be open for some fun, looking at him with her deep blue eye with a mixture of amusement and shyness.
"Or maybe, you show me those staircases again and we have a little fun with sliding down the hallway. Hopefully, no one of the teachers catches us"

It came as a surprise to her when Sammy said he envied her for being a muggle. She wished she had grown up with this type of magic, surrounded by it in her everyday life. Even though she got to enjoy her muggle witchcraft, she wished that the muggle witches could know there was a different type of magic to explore. She still had complicated feelings on what it really meant to her now especially in finding out that not everyone can do this magic, it disappointed her. She wished everyone could have the capability of it, especially those who were willing to work hard. "I envy you then. I wish I could've grown up knowing about Hogwarts. I feel like I'm just now getting used to everything in the wizardry world, and even now I'm still missing a lot of information. It really is greener on the other side I suppose." A small smile lit up her face. It was interesting to talk to someone who had a unique perspective on the muggle and wizardry life.
The idea of cozying up with a good hot chocolate and some books seemed ideal. She hadn't been able to spend as much time she wanted to dedicated to reading, and he seemed like a great companion to explore the fantastical worlds with, but the idea of exploring the castle with someone seemed intriguing too. Normally she explored alone, but this might be a nice change of pace of having someone by her side to do it. She thought about it for a moment before responding, "I think I'd like to focus on reading for today, but definitely another day for finding where that staircase was. Maybe if we brought a pillowcase we could use it as a fun slide rather than a scary deathtrap." She smiled warmly, closing up her current book after marking her place. At least she could follow him to get hot chocolate.
