Sweet Mystery
Pat! Pat! Pat! Pat! went Jorah's sneakers against the stone floor as he desperately ran for safety. "Why are you running, Mr Moussa?", a sinister voice not far behind called after him. Jorah ran harder, turning left, down a corridor, then right. A second voice, "Canby has some sweets for you, Mr Moussa. Please try Canby's sweets. We made them"...then in a guttural darker voice...SPECIAL!!!" Jorah's heart was beating so fast his chest felt heavy. He had been running for how long? Forever it seemed. Always running down an endless labyrinth of corridors. The castle would not let him escape and the voices were drawing nearer. Two months earlier...
He turned right. His legs were moving slower with time, but his pace quickened temporarily when he turned left, running straight into a group of white rats. Wait! Not white rats! They were the skeletons of pygmy puffs. The skeletons were alive and they were trying to bite Jorah's ankles as he ran by. They gave chase for a few meters before breaking apart and turning into dust. A third voice much closer than the others called, "Temie was wrong. Eat the sweets, Mr. Moussa."
Jorah fled down a stairwell into a poorly lit section of the castle. He couldn't run anymore, but maybe he could hide. He slipped into a broom closet, shut the door, and prayed. He covered his mouth and nose with his hands to stifle his heavy breathing. The banging of his heart rang in his ears. Lub Dub, Lub Dub, Lub Dub. Then after a moment, quiet. Are they gone?, he thought. As if in response to his thoughts, came the patter of several feet just outside the closet. "Mr. Moussaaa..." The closet door slowly opened. Squeeeaaak! The door hinges shrieked. Then Jorah saw them. Three house elves, the ones he had met in the kitchen. They stared straight ahead, unblinking, and wore expressionless faces. The stillness of their faces was so perfectly unnerving that they could have been wax models. The one in the middle held a small piece of Sherbert Lemon candy in his hand. He moved to speak. "Here Mr Moussa, you almost left without your sweet." Jorah shook his head no. Instantaneously! The plain faces contorted into angry grins, teeth bared, and blood lust in their eyes. "TAKE IT!", the house elf demanded in a demonic baritone. With a shaking hand, Jorah grabbed the candy and delicately placed it in his mouth. It tasted fine, just like any lemon sucker. "Good, now was that so hard?," asked the elf. The words failed to process as Jorah watched each elf pull a long silver knife from behind their back. The last thing Jorah saw was their bodies flying toward him as they stabbed him all over.
"AAAHHH!," Jorah awoke in his bed to an empty dormitory. It was just a dream, it was only a dream, he tried to console himself as he clutched his pheonix plushie close to his chest. He had been having nightmares since the Masquerade ball, but they had been getting worse since the investigation. Less than a week ago, Jorah went looking for Headmaster Lear who had vanished from the castle without a trace. All that Lear had left behind was an abnormally barren office with a pile of pygmy puff skeletons in an unlit hearth. Jorah thought that the house elves could help him discover what happened, but his mission down to the kitchens only raised more questions. Despite Jorah's best efforts, the house elves weren't giving up any information. They were terrified of something or someone that kept them from collaborating with his investigation. What were they hiding? Jorah was kicked out of the kitchens, but not before he was given a warning. "Don't eat the sweets. Any sweets young Jorah," the house elf Temie made him promise. What was wrong with the sweets?!? Were they poisoned?! Temie's final words, "Not all house elves are good and you're not safe." The parting message haunted Jorah. What did Temie mean by not safe? Would the Half giants come back for him, he wondered. Would Headmaster Lear ever return? Would he ever enjoy sweets again? The young boy just didn't know. As the nightmares intensified, he found himself exhausted and taking naps throughout the day.
With a tincture of time, Jorah's nightmares had improved. The warnings of the past had slowly faded from his memory until the events of one fine morning. It was like any other day. Students filled the Great Hall and enjoyed their breakfast while they chatted with friends. For such a young boy, Jorah had a voracious appetite. In front of him laid a mountain of scrambled eggs, a slab of hamburger steak, a bowl of caramelized apples wedges, a side of buttermilk biscuits with sausage gravy, and a tall glass of pulpy orange juice. It was his Uncle Herschel's favorite and Jorah was lovin' it.Present Day
As Jorah shoveled some fluffy eggs into his mouth, he overheard something strange. Talk of a student selling sweets out of a trench coat in the courtyard caught his attention. At the mention of sweets, a flashback filled Jorah's mind. House elves...candy...knives Could this be what Temie warned me about? Naw, it was probably just some kid trying to make a few Sickles by taking advantage of the season. Still...why sell them from the courtyard in the freezing cold of winter? Jorah looked around the warm Great Hall, it was filled with hungry students, many potential customers. Why not just set up shop here? Then Jorah caught sight of the faculty table. The headmaster's chair was still empty. Lear hadn't been seen in months. Somebody has to do something. The fire for his investigation reignited in the little Eagle's heart. If he was going to do this, he couldn't do it alone. He would need to form a team.
(Cue the montage music)
Quinn Healy: "The Muscle"
Towering at 7' 6'' this 13 year old part giant is one tall boy. He absorbs Kyle DeRook's strongest punch in his face! He breaks Erin Ryan's hand without breaking a sweat! Quinn punches a tree. Jorah makes a fist and places it against the poor tree trunk. Jorah's hand looks tiny compared to the fist shaped indentation made from Quinn's punch. Yikes! He's in!
Evelynn Decipio: "The Sneak"
A keen eye, patient, and lucky. She slips a note into Jorah's pocket without him seeing or feeling a thing. The note is an invitation to play wizard's chess. Later they play and Jorah walks away defeated. "There's no way she beat me without cheating," he says. He imagines an impressive display of sleight of hand as she rapidly moves the pieces around when he's not looking. The girl's got some skills. She's in!
Santario Martin: "The Charmer"
Ambitious and charismatic. The perfect Slytherin. She understands that sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to get things done. Santario's honeyed words gather the likes of Kyle DeRook, Quinn Healy, and Erik Tharaldson to her side. Don't underestimate her. Her Jedi mind-tricks will have you bending to her will. She's in!
Jorah explains the situation and recruits a talented team of misfits. Jorah and Quinn buy as much candy as they can. Evelynn tries to work her magic to steal additional candies from the mysterious seller. The team regroups outside the potion's classroom to seek the help from a poison expert. Perhaps Professor Price can determine the secret properties of the candy.

Quinn Healy was one of her closest friends, and one of the reasons she was making her way to join the group today. He besides, Professor Price would probably be the only two to notice that she was very different after winter break, with her skin being as sickly pale as a werewolf's before the full moon. Rumors were flying around about laced candy being distributed to the students. This group wanted to figure out what and why. Perhaps it would help the students in the future and if they were lucky before Valentine’s day. She had been charged with a mission, and that was to acquire a tainted chocoball for their experiments, something she had happily been able to do. She had, however, been surprised that it was no secret that these candies were laced with love potions. The real question was, what did they really do?
This brought the group to the outside of the potions classroom, hoping that they would be able to convince the Potions Master to help them in their pursuit to save the school. Now, Santario knew Price decently well. She thought they bonded when he allowed her to help him brew a potion of Amortentia for her Headliner article. She was also reasonably sure that they shared the same views when it came to using love potions against other people. So gaining his help would not be the issue in the least. The problem would be convincing the Professor to allow one of them to imbibe the candy so that the other unaffected students and the Professor himself could subdue, cure, and figure out what was going on.
Price seemed to her to be a kindhearted man who consciously would never allow them to do such a thing. They had a couple of backup plans in case he did not come up with any alternatives. Though, San did not favor these plans as it would no doubt lose her the favor of one of the Professors that she looked up to the most. Improvisation would be their best friend today. If any other of the group beat her there, probably Jorah, she would give them a nod and a small greeting. In return, those that appeared after her would also get a nod and a small greeting of their own.

Sweet Mystery
Quinn had always loved a good mystery, no it was better to say he craved them. It got his mind ticking and gears running. That's why when Quinn was first approached by the young Ravenclaw he almost immediately agreed. The fact the rumors were circulating about laced candies was interesting enough. The frosting on the cake was this group the Ravenclaw was gathering had a mission to obtain the candies and figure out what the heck they did and hopefully why they were laced.
Very very interesting so Quinn being himself took the mission of obtaining a Sherbet Lemon from the seller. It went off without a hitch and he would presumedly head over to the potions classroom. He figured that some of the others would already be there, and the redhead was correct when he recognized one of his closest friends. "Sanrio, 'eeeey" He cheerfully commented. "Ah take it ye mission was also a success?" He questioned stopping a foot from her.
It seemed like with each passing day he was getting taller. Quinn knew they had to convince the potions professor to help them. In truth Quinn was studious but didn't really know the professor. Though from his observations the professor seemed warm and understanding. So hopefully, he would hear them out and help. Quinn didn't really feel comfortable with the other plans. He just hoped that for once one of his adventures were drama free.

Interacting with @Jorah Moussa, @Santario Martin, and @Quinn Healy
A sense of annoying inadequacy hung over Evelynn's head as she made an atypically listless way to the dungeons. Generally speaking, there was a certain pep to her step whenever she descended into the deeper recesses of the castle; it meant she was headed towards one of her favourite haunts: the potions' class.
While the destination remained the same on this occasion, however, the reasoning was different. She had been recruited by none other than the boy she had faced and defeated — without even having to cheat — in a game of Wizards' Chess. The purpose: to discover the properties and implication of these laced candies newly circulating about the castle. Ever since she had purchased her own chocoball from the mysterious boy in the courtyard, this was something she had been wanting to do.
Admittedly, her motivations had been somewhat multi-faceted. For one, she wished to know their properties in order to sate her curiosity. But there was also the self-preserving side of her that wanted to know as much as she could in order to protect herself from potential poisoning; as well as the humanistic side that endeavored to inform the student body if there was something more harmful to them than met the eye. Not to mention the devious aspect that thought perhaps she could profit in some way if she could figure out how to replicate them. So, when Moussa had invited her to join him and a group of others, she had jumped at the opportunity.
Thus, why the downtrodden affect? She had failed. Her mission had been to acquire more samples. To trick the trench-coated boy, if need be, outsmart him, if she could. She had done neither. Nor had her speed and deft hands made up for it. She was empty-handed. And that annoyed her. In fact, she couldn't even contribute the chocoball that she had purchased because the fool of a girl had accidentally gotten it mixed up among a handful of normal chocoballs and fed it to Morgan. At least, she supposed, she could relay it's effects to the group.
But, she had a deadline. And the time had come. There was no more room for additional attempts or further plotting. By the time she approached the potions' class, she could see that several others had already gathered. Moussa. Quinn of Healy. And some other girl she didn't recognize.
Evelynn gave her a slight nod of her head in return to the one she herself received, and offered a reserved, "Hello", to the rest. Then, lips pursing with resigned defeat, added to Jorah, "I couldn't get my hands on anything. I'm sorry." Her expression neutralized as she recalled the attempt to nick a few candies. "It was sort of odd, though. He said I didn't want any more. As though there was actually a reason that he only lets everyone buy a single candy."

A call for manpower to help with the investigation on a few measly candies would seem odd and out of place to many. Perhaps even a waste of time. However, upon hearing the news that a few of the S.W.A.G club members were conducting research on some sweets, Aurelia knew what their motives possible were.
On the day of Valentines, Aurelia Notresvace had purchased seemingly harmless coin-sized lemon sherbert from a shady boy in the midst of dusk by the courtyard. He had warned her that it would induce effects of ' voracious hunger'. The girl only found out what he had meant only a few hours later. Indeed, hunger. The ordeal in the library had turned out to be utterly embarrassing, to say the least
Footsteps echoed through the stairwell, her feet moving with haste down the flight of steps. Clutched in her hands were a few sweets still in their plastic wrappings, a chocoball, a couple of lemon sherberts and caramels. No, they were not in anyway laced and did not come with any absurd effects. They were perfectly normal sweets she had only just purchased from the little shop, Honeydukes in Hogsmeade.
The hike to the small town had already been exhausting, the return, as arduous. Despite that, the Monster Hunter persevered, successfully acquiring the sweets, albeit a few minutes late. Outside rendezvous, stood four. A familiar towering giant, two other S.W.A.G members and a raven-haired girl she was not yet acquainted with.
With the evidence of her exhaustion lingering in the form of slightly laboured breaths and a fisted hand containing the sugared treats extended towards the Ravenclaw boy, the Gryffindor said, "The control, as requested." Turning to Quinn, seeming to analyse the taller boy with narrowed eyes, she then added on, "It might have been more efficient if you had sent Quinn for this errand. With his stature, he could have made an expeditious trip."

Sweet Mystery
Santario looked up and Quinn with a soft smile. “Aye, I got the chocoball. He isn’t being secretive about the candy being laced with a ‘love potion’" Her slender fingers accompanied the words love potion with air quotes. “I’ll collect the laced candy from you two.” She held out her hand for Quinn and Jorah to hand her their candies. Evelynn gave her apology for being unable to acquire any more candy tied with possibly another useful piece of information. “Don’t worry about it. We may not know why that is currently important, but it may end up being important later on.” With the arrival of Aurelia, Santario would glide her sharp sapphire eyes over each of them. This little pack of “heroes” trying to save the school. “I think it’s harder for Quinn to get away since he is a Prefect and all. Though, now that we are all here, let’s get in there and get started. The longer we wait, the more people who will be hurt. If any of us have already been affected by any of these candies or the card it is best we are upfront with the Professor about that. It will be one less thing we have to eat.” Santario was a natural leader and it was starting to shine through a little bit even though this was Jorah’s gig.
Assuming she was currently in possession of the tainted candies, Santario would open the classroom, door, and enter approaching Professor Price wherever he may be, although keeping a safe distance if he was currently brewing something. “Good day, Professor Price. We are terribly sorry to disturb you. There is something terrible going on in Hogwarts, and you are the one person I trust the most to bring this matter to.” Unlike with other people, Santario did not bother to make herself sound sweeter, look more innocent or scared. She had a report with this particular Professor, given that he was her role model and that they had brewed Amortentia together for her article. She would not bother insulting his intelligence by putting on such a farce for him. No, with Professor Price, she was certain being genuine and honest is what would secure his help.
“There is a student… Ravenclaw, if I remember correctly, selling love potion laced candies, and Amortentia spritzed cards to the students. He will only give one per student and is quite adamant that no student would want another one. We have taken it upon ourselves to acquire the candies, as the card may have been too dangerous if it affects more than one person in the vicinity. With your expertise on potions and healing, we were hoping that you could help us devise a cure or at least help us figure out what these candies do so that we can spread the information across Hogwarts and save as many students as we can. Please, help us, Professor Price.” Small emphasis was placed on the us’s in her statement, hopefully planting the seed in the Professor’s brain that there was no way he was going to do this without them. This group was showing that they were smart enough to know that they needed help, and as a group, they came to him because they trusted him to help them understand what was going on. Her sharp sapphire eyes stared up at Professor Price as she awaited his reaction.

Sweet Mystery
Elliot sat behind his desk as he absently stared at a pile of parchment that laid before him. The Professor had always preferred to grade at his work desk instead of his office. There was just something about the room that always calmed him. Perhaps it was the soft sound of bubbling cauldrons or fond memories from his time as a student. However, as he sat there today, the older man was anything but. The stress was taking a toll on the Professor. His gray hair had grown even lighter and had become a bit overgrown. The lines on his face had deepened and his once warm eyes had become saggy and tired. Something terrible was brewing in the shadows, planting the seeds of chaos and disrupt as it lurked around them. They were all in terrible danger.
The door to the room opened, breaking Elliot from his dark reverie. A handful of students had entered and at the helm was none other than Miss Santario Martin. Behind her would be some more familiar faces. No one could overlook the presence of Mister Healy as Elliot would have to look up from his seated position to see his face. There was also Miss Decipio and Notrevace from House Gryffindor. To round out the group was Mister Moussa.
His brown eyes would linger on Santario for a moment as the group approached. Something had changed with the young Slytherin. Her skin was pale as if she had fallen ill, but what stood out most was her eyes. He sensed a deep sadness as she began to speak. She spoke of something terrible taking place at Hogwarts. No truer words spoken. His hand drifted towards his body as he gently touched the part of his chest that now bore a horrible scar. If they only knew.
“No bother at all, Miss Martin. Please, tell me what has you all concerned.”
Elliot’s eyes remained locked with hers as she told her tale of love potion laced candies. The dosing of another student was a major offense in his opinion. To strip someone of their free will was cruel and called for harsh punishment. However, that is not what would give the Professor pause. Perhaps it was the paranoia that had been slowly building inside him, but he couldn’t help himself from wondering if there wasn’t something more sinister going on. One student had already been hospitalized for a poisoning on Hogwart’s grounds. A pang of anxiety rushed through body.
“What!” Elliot rose quickly from his seat. “This student, do any of you know his name?!” His words came quickly, the evidence of his nerves most likely apparent to the group before him. “Tell me. Where is this taking place? Do you know if any of the students have consumed these candies? Have any of you eaten them?!”
He paused for a brief moment and removed his glasses to rub his eyes. After a long exhale, he continued. “Forgive me. I’m...not feeling myself. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. You all did well to gather them. Of course I will help you in any way. May I please examine the candies?” Elliot reached out his hand.

Sweet Mystery
I would assume that Jorah had taken the control candies Aurelia extended in my last post
Yet again, it was the Slytherin taking authority over the matter, speaking on their behalf as she explained to the aged Professor. Like with many other Professors, Aurelia did not know much or pretty much anything about this Professor other than the fact that he taught potions. Unlike Santario, she had not yet established any ounce of trust with the professor and due to this, the Monster Hunter would remain on guard.
For a short while, as Professor proceeded to ask for the candies, Aurelia contemplated in divulging the truth that she had in fact consumed one of them. It was unlikely that she would get in trouble for popping a tiny, seemly harmless sweet into her mouth. However, the incentive to why she had suffice to the candy man's deal could possibly get her into trouble. Yet, the episode in the library was only a recent one and Aurelia could not help but wonder if there were any lingering side effects to the candies.
"I did." The two words barely over a whisper at first. "I did consume one of them," she clarified, straightening her posture. She really hoped she would not have to indulge her audience in the whole detailed story of the events in the library. But an epilogue, she could afford, "Despite them sold on valentines day, I had not the effects of... love... when I consumed the caramel - inadvertently of course - the closest to what I would describe having felt was... immense jealousy." She explained. "Meenauh took the lemon sherbert." She continued. "How should I put this,?She tried to... um... eat me..."
Said the girl whom she had yet to know the name of. All though she would never admit it out loud, the aristocratic pureblood opposed to having someone younger than herself pose the eminent figure in this group's little escapade. Then again, besides the tall red-head, there was not anyone possibly older in their vicinity, other than the professor of course. "Hm, I doubt that we are doing anything wrong here, are we? After all, third years are permitted to go to Hogsmaede." Aurelia put in but not too long before the Professor answered the door.I think it’s harder for Quinn to get away since he is a Prefect and all.

As one who had experienced the effects of the 'love potion' candies only os recently, she knew that the sugared treats did not at all induce any forms of endearment, but rather, the polar opposite. Nevertheless, the professor's brief outburst at Miss Martin's explanation was unexpected, furiously demanding the likelihood of the group having consumed the candies. Which in fact, they had, or rather, she had.... if I remember correctly, selling love potion laced candies...

"How should I put this,?She tried to... um... eat me..."

Sweet Mystery
— Prior to Entry —
Evelynn offered Aurelia a demure smile and small wave the moment the third year Gryffindor had come into view. This was turning out to be quite the gathering. The little redhead had been surprised by Moussa's invitation, and while her own curiosity and motives for other investigations had brought her on board, she wasn't at all anticipating such a growing group. And to have representation from every House as well, she noted — even before Aurelia's arrival.
The apology given had been directed to Moussa. Really, she should know by now that nobody in this school seemed to have any sense of social decorum. And she did. In a sense. Whenever she reminded herself of that little fact. Still, it bothered her greatly that he hadn't even really had a chance to reply before the unfamiliar girl engaged with the boy of Healy cut off from their conversation and into Evelynn's. In fact, bothered couldn't even begin to cut it anymore. Evelynn was downright triggered. Grey eyes flickered to meet sapphire. A pregnant pause.
Remember why you're here, she reminded herself. It wouldn't do, after all, to get her knickers in a twist and start fighting before the group had even begun their quest. Besides, this was important. Had it have been Aurelius, or Burnett, or even D'Spacito, she'd have told them to cool it and set their squabble aside for later. Thus, with a small amount of effort — and a silent count to three —Evelynn forced a smile. After all, it wasn't like the girl was saying anything unrealistic. Evelynn had also come to the conclusion that the warning had likely been rooted in something worth listening to. Which is exactly why Evelynn found herself shaking her head at the end of Santario's comment.
"Even if we do know what the candies do," Evelynn began, addressing the notion that they could possibly limit how much exposure they'd need to risk, "we can't know how they interact with each other without consuming them anyway. Like, if you take…" She paused for a second, madly wracking through her thoughts to try to remember the name of one of her grandma's medications. "…Lipi-something. Anyway. It's for blood. And then if you eat grapefruit, then the two have a bad interaction in a way that the two separate don't.
"If anything," she went on, "it might just mean we eat them in a different order so that the one we don't know what it does on its own gets eaten first so that it's not mixing with anything else."
— After Entering —
When the door to the potions class was pushed in and the girl who seemed to have taken charge of the situation strolled in, Evelynn strode in lithely behind her. Just as it always was, it was a breath of fresh air. Figuratively. Granted, there were no great bay windows or white flowing draperies, and a haze almost always seemed to cling to the ceiling to weigh heavily from above like cobwebs that had gotten out of hand. Even still, this room — in the dank, dark bowels of the castle — was as much a sanctuary to the young Gryffindor as the airy loft of her barn had been.
"Hello, Professor Price," Evelynn smiled, warmly greeting her preferred instructor before settling back as the Slytherin took the foreground again.
Admittedly, however much Evelynn may have previously been irked, she had to acknowledge an agreement with the girl's approach. She was clear. Concise. Forthcoming. Everything that Evelynn was certain the professor would appreciate. Moreover, she indicated a firm stance that they were all to be included. This was their initiative, and like her, it seemed, Evelynn would be rather frustrated if they were to be cut out of it.
What she was not expecting was Professor Price's reaction. He seemed…exasperated. Probably for good reason, she had to admit. Professor Lear was still missing as far as she knew, and it had been Professor Price who had brought up the hags in the forest. Maybe there was more that he was dealing with on top of all that.
"It's okay…" Evelynn tried to offer, not really sure who best to console someone of his age when she was merely a fraction of that. "…there's been… a lot going on…"
She cast a furtive glance to Santario at his request to see the candies to see what she would do, but in the meantime, spoke up to address the previous questions.
"It's happening in the courtyard. Every evening it seems. He just…stands there in the corner and sells them from his trench-coat. He doesn't seem to be at all concerned about the effects of them either, although he does give warnings and tell you what to expect."
Before she could go on, Aurelia spoke her admission to having consumed one of the candies. And Meenauh as well. Quirking a brow, Evelynn turned her attention to her upperclassman as she regurgitated the shorthand details.
"I bought a chocoball from him," Evelynn said after, eyes still on Aurelia as thoughts began to race, "meaning to examine it. I commented that he was making it sound like they were laced with some sort of love potion, and he straight up told me "they are". And… well…" And here was where she started feeling uncomfortable, a rosy heat climbing up her neck. "…it was." She averted her gaze. "There was a mix up, and someone ate it, and… it.. It was awkward. But… with what you're saying… Jealousy… eating you… and mine…" She glanced back to Professor Price. "It's almost like the deadly sins: Envy, Gluttony, and Lust."

Sweet Mystery
Tag: @Santario Martin @Evelynn Decipio @Quinn Healy @Aurelia Notrésvace @Elliot PriceThey were in! In the potion's classroom, the gang of amateur detectives strolled towards their expert consultant, Elliot Price, Hogwart's potion's professor and likely the most qualified person in the castle to detect a possible poison from their mysterious confectioneries. The gang was off to a rough start. Evelynn "the Sneak" failed her first mission. Impossible!, Jorah thought when he first heard the news, but she's so sneaky. Could it be that I was wrong about her? Maybe she did win that chess game fair and square...no way! It appears the gang had underestimated the creepy candy peddler. Obviously, he must be possessed by advanced dark magical. How else could he have stopped Evelynn while she was in ninja mode. The possession theory made more and more sense to Jorah. Why else would a Hogwarts student so willing poison their classmates. Then again, Jorah had been stabbed by a fellow student. Perhaps Hogwarts had lost her former glory. Perhaps the school was just one more scandal away from becoming one of those inner city wizard's schools with graffiti and disobedient house-elves running amok. Jorah wasn't aware of any schools like, but the thought of a gang of house elves wearing black leather jackets and welding switchblades made him uncomfortable.
There was still a ray of hope. Quinn "the Muscle" and Santario "the Charmer" had each purchased one candy from the poor possessed boy. Together with Jorah's purchased candy, the team had one of each: one Sherbert Lemon, one sticky Caramel, and one Chocoball. Hopefully with the help of Professor Price, they would uncover the mystery of the candy and have the evidence they needed to stop the candyman. Lucky for them, Aurelia "the Hunter" joined the team. She made the trek all the way to Hogsmeade and bought back untampered versions of the same candy. Aurelia's candies would be the team's control group should Price need them for his experiments. Jorah wasn't quite sure if Price could detect a possible poison and if so, what his methods would require. It's not like the man could just ask the sugary treats nicely, "Excuse Mr. Caramel, are you poison today?" -"That's Mr. Sticky Caramel to you, you uncultured swine." The inner machinations of Jorah's mind truly were an enigma.
The group reached Professor Price who sat behind his desk. The Charmer started first, working her magic to convince Price to help them. Jorah clutched onto the control candies while Santario held possession of the poisoned yum yums. Santario's words worked! Professor Price was in! In fact, there was a nervous excitement about him. Clearly he was not himself, as evidence by the fact he said, "I'm not feeling myself." Oh noooo!, Jorah thought. Had the evil presence cursing Hogwarts got to Price first?!? Of course! The effects of the candy would only be a temporary chaos with someone like Price around to whip up an antidote. Surely that evil mastermind planned for a response from Hogwart's staff and made preparations for such an eventuality. Was the group walking into a trap? Was poor professor Price potentially possessed....perhaps? Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all, Jorah thought, but their Price was, extending his hands for the candy.
As Price waited, Aurelia confessed that she had eaten one of the candies. WHATT! Was the team comprised? Why was Jorah just finding out about this now. Who was the dumb-ass leading this shitshow...oh wait. Aurelia went on to explain that one of the candies made her incredibly jealous Then she dropped the knowledge bomb that one of the candies turned you into a cannibal. DANG IT AURELIA! This is the kind of thing you should have opened with, Jorah thought. It appears Aurelia was a successful hunter of vital information. Not to be out done, Evelynn snuck her way into the conversation. She explained the effects of the final candy as being... awkward. She used the word "lust". Ah gheez. These candies were no joke and what would happen to someone who consumed all three? Jorah need to know! The school needed to know! Knowledge is power and if they were going to stand a chance they need unlimited powa! What was there next move going to be? Jorah was still apprehensive about trusting Price, so he placed the normal candies in the professor's hand. Let's see how he reacts if he thinks he has the poisoned candies, thought Jorah. "Here you go Professor, those are the candies."
