Through fire we Puff PV Closed

After a long day of class and trying to cram in some studying, Mildred wanted nothing more than to go to perhaps her favorite place in the whole school, the Hufflepuff Common Room. Thoughts of sitting down somewhere quiet in there, maybe near the fireplace today? or in a quiet corner and reading some books made Mildred practically walk faster.

As Mildred was entering the small hall, she saw something strange, which isn't exactly common, she is now attending a magical school; however, this was different. She saw a young girl throwing down her books and saying "Why am I so occupied? I don't have time to be with my friends like this? Am I so intelligent like the grown-ups say? Why wasn't I in Ravenclaw then?" Mildred felt an immediate connection to the young girl since, she too thought she would be placed into Ravenclaw, even though Mildred hasn't exactly been going to Hogwarts for as long as the other students, she has yet to find her inner Hufflepuff; However, Mildred decided to continue walking, what could she even do to comfort them? Mildred knew that she didn't exactly have the greatest social skills.

As Mildred entered the great hall, she felt bad and guilty. If Mildred had been in the same shoes she knew she would have wanted someone to comfort her or say something, quickly Mildred decided to walk back into the small hall. She quickly scanned the room and found the young lady near the fireplace, and she seemed to be asleep? Mildred slowly approached her, and saw that her face was wet, Mildred wondered what should she do? Mildred decided to gently shake her, and say "Hello? Are you okay?"

May, while sleeping, dreamed about something. Well, she had lots of dreams that time. Witch was odd, because she usualy never dreamed.

She dreamed that the sorting hat called, Ravenclaw! to her. She was so happy.
A sob

In the second dream, she saw her mother, throwing her diary to the fire. Her diary was her more apreciated posession.

In the third dream, she dreamed that she wnt to the sorting hat, and it called Slytherin. She was so dissapointed.


Then, May felt a soft hand shake her. She slowly opened her eyes, and streched herself. She saw a girl. She had the Hufflepuff colors in her uniform.

May quickly came back to life and was startled at the sight of her. She looked preocupied.

''Hello? Are you ok?''

She asked.

''I-I'm fine.'' said May, a little cross tho.

''Are you fine? Because if you are not, I better call the hospital wing...'' Still not coming to her senses, May was being cross with the girl. Well, she didn't want to be cross, but, that wasn't the real May.

Feeling her cheeks wet, she quickly dried them off. The tears.

''Oh, umm, sorry for being so cross, I didn't mean too, I actually had a very bad day...'' she said, trying to sound kind. After all, the other girl seemed kind.

Seeing the mess on the floor, May quickly picked her books up. ''I have an Astronomy test right now... And I am bad in Astronomy...'' she said, trying to sound sincere. ''Where are you going?''

Mildred waited to see if the girl would wake up, she thought to herself maybe she should shake her again? Mildred quietly awaited, and the young girl's face changed quite a lot while she was asleep, her facial expression gave off the feeling that the young girl was having a nightmare.

Mildred decided to try and shake her again when suddenly, she awoke, having forgotten what Mildred even said in the first place, the young girl replied with, "'' Oh, umm, sorry for being so cross, I didn't mean too, I actually had a very bad day...'' quickly after, the young girl said 'I have an Astronomy test right now... And I am bad in Astronomy...'' ''Where are you going?'' Mildred suddenly remembered what she had asked in the first place and she could relate, it definitely isn't easy in hogwarts, with all the magic and classes, Mildred definitely has had her fair share of bad days here. Mildred quickly said, "Well, that's nothing to be sorry for! I'm sure everyone has had a bad day or two, I for sure know I have had some, its nothing to be ashamed for!"

Mildred thought of how to reply next, she was planning on maybe relaxing in the common rooms but maybe she could do something else, Mildred quickly said, " Hey! don't worry about it, Astronomy is pretty hard, how long do you have until your test? maybe we could head to the library to quickly study before your test?"

Mildred felt as if that was a pretty decent reply, she was never really the best at social interactions, she hoped that the young girl wasn't offended or anything in any way, although she does seem very kind so Mildred had nothing to worry about.

Mildred felt that it was improper that the young girl didn't know her name, she decided to add "By the way, my name is Mildred Wilson! it is my first year here, what's your name?"

"Well, that's nothing to be sorry for! I'm sure everyone has had a bad day or two, I for sure know I have had some, its nothing to be ashamed for!'' said the girl. She seemed nice, and May wanted to seem nice too.
''Thanks, your'e so kind. I don't know how to thank you...'' replied May.
" Hey! don't worry about it, Astronomy is pretty hard, how long do you have until your test? maybe we could head to the library to quickly study before your test?" asked the girl. ' 'Oh, yes we should go to the library as fast as we can, we have exacly 20 minutes till Astronomy class starts, so we can go to the library super fast and then, maybe I can do my test better!'' said May, very very fast, her lungs already tired.
She quickly picked up her things, cleaned up the ink she had spilled. She was happy the girl had said it was ok of what May did, because May still had a very big problem asimilating that. She could loose her temper sometimes.
"By the way, my name is Mildred Wilson! it is my first year here, what's your name?" asked the kind girl.
''Oh, sorry for not being polite, my name is May, May Moonstar first year Hufflepuff. It's nice to meet you Mildred! Now, lets run run run!''

Mildred looked around the small hall awaiting the young girl response, she has always found the small hall quite extraordinary, with the hung portraits of those before her, and the stories of what they have done, and with the chandelier and the glow it gave off. she always felt some sort of feeling when she walked through here, she couldn't exactly place her finger on what she felt; perhaps, it was amazement? could she ever achieve something so great herself? she didn't exactly know but she always felt in awe here.

While Mildred was lost in her thoughts, she heard

''Thanks, you're so kind. I don't know how to thank you...''

this forced Mildred to snap back into reality and remember what was happening. Mildred thought this was sweet and said a quick, "there's no need to thank me!" soon afterward, the young girl responded to her previous question very quickly, Mildred struggled for a second to comprehend her.

" Oh, yes we should go to the library as fast as we can, we have exactly 20 minutes till Astronomy class starts, so we can go to the library super fast and then, maybe I can do my test better!'"

exclaimed the young girl, Mildred was feeling a tad slow at that moment, perhaps the fuzz from before wasn't clear, repeating what the young girl said again, Mildred gasped at the 20 minutes part.

Feeling the sense of urgency, Mildred watched as the young girl cleaned up after herself, when the area was clean, it was just like they were never there. the young girl quickly said,

''Oh, sorry for not being polite, my name is May, May Moonstar first year Hufflepuff. It's nice to meet you, Mildred! Now, lets run run run!''

Mildred sensing the urgency to get to the library quickly, she responded with a quick "It's nice to meet you May! you have a very lovely name, now let's go!"
