A little figure walked slowly across the frozen grounds, you could say it was an early morning stroll. They began to head back inside, feeling the effects of the cold winter air finally nip at her clothes and those parts of skin that were exposed. The figure shivered and gingerly reached a hand out to open one of the large main doors but to her suprise it was pushed open with such force she fell backwards. The cry of distress caught in their throat an instead only a puff of white breath came out from the figure's mouth. As soon as the figure's head hit the stone steps they blacked out.Includes: @Emma Hill
Waking up with a gasp, Annie sat up quickly and opened her eyes and glanced around. At first her surroundings were unknown due to the dizziness and pounding of her head from sitting up too quickly. She blinked her eyes a few times and glanced around figuring out she was in the Hospital Wing. She figured she was here for her head but also winced as she tried to move her body and felt pain shoot up through her ankle.
Annie reached up to run her throbbing head, really wishing for some pain reliever. Where was the nurse anyways? It wasn't like there were many students here. She remembered what happened and cursed herself for being clumsy. Another thought popped in her head suddenly. Who had got her here though?

Another bed of snow had descended on the wizarding school's grounds once again. Apparently Hogwarts was protected from everything except the winter winds that brought frozen precipitation. Emma wasn't complaining, however. Despite the annual deluge of snow, she still managed to make her way outside and down the stairs to see if the lake had frozen over. Ten minutes out in the snow was enough for her. It was just enough to get a glimpse at the pond and strive not to slip marching down the stairs. It was time to head back inside, straight for the library.
As the snowfall collected and melted slowly in her hair, she made her way to the icy stairs. Along with her sense of temperature, the brunette did have a sense of right and wrong... with a huge gray space in the middle. Thick glistening ice casted the sun's image vaguely, but it was enough to get a strong beam of light. She did not feel like tempting her own fate over a quicker way into the building, today was not the day. Shifting to her right, Emma stepped on to the white hill and her boots sunk a foot into the snow. Within an instant, her toes went numb, but she pushed on and trudged up the snowy mountain.
A thud sounded above, but Emma continued to walk at her usual pace. It was winter, and snowballs never hurt anyone. Then again, it was much too loud to be a mere snowball. To no surprise, Emma had began to overthink again and her pace sped up slightly. It was too cold to even be outside, more or less, walking through snow.
Without any hesitation at the sight of the school, her eagerness took over, but once glance down such down any feelings of happiness. At least she's not dead. The brunette thought to herself looking at the puffs of white smoke coming from her nose. Approaching the body, she reached out to her body but stopped abruptly. She didn't want to make matters worse, but anything was better than sitting outside in the snow. Bare hands slid underneath the girl's robes, the coldness sending a chill up her entire body. The Hospital Wing was really far away.
---
"Whoa," Emma quickly set her book down and jumped out of bed to tend to the Hufflepuff. Not many students were in the Wing, it wasn't very hard to sneak in. "I found you outside just like, lying there. Are you feeling alright?"

Annie nearly fell out of the bed when she heard another person's voice. "I found you outside just like, lying there. Are you feeling alright?" She turned her throbbing head towards the figure and just simply nodded. After getting over the slight shock and heart attack the other girl had given her she perked up a bit.
Did- were you the person who helped me when I was unconscious? Annie glad a's need out a nearby window as more flakes began to fall from the sky, a sigh escaping her mouth. "But yeah I am alright thanks to you, I guess I should be more careful huh?" Ths Hufflepuff turned back towards the other girl with a slight laugh. "If you don't mind me asking, this damsel in distress would like to know her savior's name?" Annie's sarcasm quickly returned, which was a sign of her feeling better already. "Ah sorry to be ride! My name's Annie Morgan, second year Hufflepuff and first string chaser on the team. I was just coming back from personal practice before I slipped haha.." She ran her hand across the back of her neck, a blush flooded her cheeks in embarrassment remembering only a moment ago had she been rescued. To relieve the awkward moment she glanced around the room and the back to her hurt ankle. "My head's alright if I get some er.. medication or medicine but I dunno about my ankle." She hesitated on the term due to being raised as a muggle and not ever full-blooded wizard knowing some terms. Annie looked up to the other girl, silently observing her, thoughts curiously buzzed through her head. She had many questions but just simply wanted her name and maybe some medicine and a nap would be good too..

One glimpse at the girl indicated she wasn't alright. Immediately apologizing for the shock she caused, she took a half-step behind her but not too large. Emma could only envision her point of view like the dizziness after rolling downhill, but it was apparent that it was greatly worse. It wouldn't just go away in a matter of seconds. Standing to the right of the bed, she braced herself just in case she decided to lose balance.
She didn't want to talk much just in case the Hufflepuff had a headache, the last thing she needed was a loud-mouthed student by her side. It wouldn't be long before she got pestered by her judgments, or possibly even drowsy and fell asleep. Thankfully, she didn't have to initiate the conversation. After all, what could she say without feeling a little bit sorry? Nevertheless, she put on a smile and acquainted herself. "Emmaline. Emma, if you want to. Oh, and third year." She gestured down at her navy blue robes to signify her house.
Emma snickered quietly to herself as she looked at the flakes falling from the ground. After hearing her whereabouts, the sorrow had been replaced with respect. Not even the pitch could motivate her to go for a journey in the frosty weather. Her brows raised in curiosity. The Badgers were the only team they hadn't played yet, so it was nice to meet a player. It would have been a lie to say she didn't put her friends before the game. "You play for Hufflepuff? Stronger than any Lion I've seen. I look forward to seeing you on the field, but for now, you need to rest." She fluffed the pillow some and gestured to it.
Walking over to the medicine cabinet, the brunette turned back to look at Annie's ankle. She didn't know anything that could help take the pain away, but she wasn't the best at potions and tonics. "Do you think there's anything in there that could help?"

Annie listened to the girl, Emma's responses and nodded her head, or well moving it to say the very least. "Ah yeah Emma.. hm nice name, thanks by the way.. er I already said that didn't I..?" The Hufflepuff narrowed her eyes, lost in thought as her gaze became clouded.
She blinked twice and perked back up at the sound of Quiddich, her one true love besides magical creatures. "You play for Ravenclaw..? Hmm you don't look familiar though.. You know.. I know lots of people but you are new." She glared drowissliy at the girl, the gears turning in her head but ultimately failing as she started speaking gibberish at the end.
Annie shrugged simply and produced a loud yawn and gave her a mumbled "thank you" for fluffing up her pillow. The Hufflepuff then proceeded to groan as her head pounded. "The nurse told me I couldn't sleep during to a stupid concussion.. whatever that is.. but then left without giving me medicine!" She knew her head was messed up, not even worrying about her ankle at this point. She frowned and looked over at the girl, Emma. "Could you stay with me for a bit longer, so I don't fall asleep?" Annie pleaded to the older girl, not wanting to be left alone and while in pain.

It felt wrong to laugh, but Annie just seemed so adorable. A little snicker escaped her jaws as slurred words came formed from the girl's jaws. Placing a hand on her shoulder, she shook it lightly, signaling to stay awake without using a single word. She observed the girl with caution, watching for any further signs of weakness or for something even worse. Although she felt compiled to ask, she bit her tongue, looking back and the big wooden doors as a sign of help as if they were magically going to burst open.
Emma had gotten lucky. Despite being one of the many germophobes, she didn't get that anxiety rush whenever someone sneezed or coughed. Mostly because there was no one to spread their contagious diseases or strange symptoms. Facing a full row of beds, the downpour of snow met her sights. Snow was great and all, but the ice could go.
Standing by her side, it seemed like the nurse never showed up. Not in her first year, and definitely not in her third. Admittedly, she never had many trips to the Hospital Wing, but it was enough to remember the nurse's attendance. At last, her eyes made eye contact with the vials. "Out of curiosity, what's your mark in Potions?"
Rattling through the medicine cabinet, the brunette lifted and shifted around dozens among dozens of vials. Although most of them were labeled, there was the occasional rebel that stood out from the rest, and without hesitation, she pushed those to the back of the cabinet. If she was being honest, she didn't trust herself enough to properly diagnose a student. However, her stubbornness couldn't find anything that wouldn't trouble herself nor Annie. Her dependence on magic proved to be off and on at times. "I'm not leaving."
