Janet was never one to bother herself about her looks and her style was often messy and mismatched. She wore whatever was comfortable and her hair 99% of the time was tied back in a messy ponytail with strands hanging over her face and often obscuring her vision. Despite this she was a naturally pretty girl blessed with good looks (although her clumsiness and adventurous spirit did it's best to cover her tanned face with scratches and bruises). Her eyes were sky blue and she had a strong athletic build no doubt from her love of sports. Janet was mostly found wearing hoodies and shorts with a simple t-shirt and she probably doesn't even own a dress. Quite short for her age but still one of the fastest and strongest in her class (probably because of all the rough play she had grown to know with her brothers) and she could give any boy a run for their money. She spent part of her life living in Italy and got a nice light tan from all the time she spent outdoors.

☆ Pre-Hogwarts ☆

Janet is Irish and proud of it, she most likely got her adventurous spirit from her constant travelling when she was little, her family were always on the move and didn't stay in the same country for more than a year (apart from when they moved to Italy and Janet learnt to speak Italian) until they finally settled down in Ireland, it was where her and a lot of her brothers were born and it was where most of her family lived, they made the decision to stay there on the fateful day Janet got her hogwarts letter, that was the day her parents realized if they wanted their children to have a good magical education they would have to quit their indecisive moving. Her brother Charlie (who is only one year older than her) also goes to hogwarts but the others go to Ilvermony. Growing up with five older brothers to tease her and prank her had inevitably toughened her up. Now that she was at hogwarts she could see just how boyish and rowdy she was compared to the other girls, she had absolutely no interest in makeup or fashion and didn't mind getting a little scratched up. Janet wasn't used to being alone as she had always been surrounded by members of her large family or her friends, she gets on well with most of her family. Most of her holidays are spent camping and climbing trees but she loves travelling and going to sunny beaches.

☆ First Sign of Magical Abilities ☆

Janet was five at the time.
It was a scorching sunday afternoon, the sun glared down on the family strolling through the forest and shone through the gaps in the leaves leaving behind a beautifully mystical scene. The family laid out a blanket and sat down, treating themselves to several delicious sandwiches and cakes. Not Janet though. She had skipped off through the woods and located a perfect tree for climbing. The branches stuck out at just the right point and where there weren't branches there was thick bark to grab on to. The five year old hoisted herself up and didn't stop climbing until she had gotten to the point where it wasn't possible to climb any more. By now of course her dad had come looking for her and nearly fainted with shock at the sight of his daughter so high.

Really it would have been better if he hadn't come, as soon as she heard his voice Janet leaned around the trunk to declare his presence. It had been one too many movements however and she had gone tumbling through the leaves plummeting to the ground.
But just as it looked like she would be in the hospital with a broken neck she had bounced on the ground landing right in her proud fathers arms. Since that incident she has looked forward to joining her brothers at magic school and making new wizard friends.
