Life Before Hogwarts: Hestia was born on a warm Saturday in march in her hometown, Reading. In early childhood, she showed herself be extremely curious and to have a heart for adventure. She would often explore whatever she could around her town. She would climb trees, splash in creeks, and look under rocks. She was never afraid of the insects and creatures she found while exploring either. This sometimes proved to not always be a good thing, like the insistence where she nearly entered a river while it had a strong current because she was exploring the wildlife that was on the banks.
In addition to having a heart for adventure. She also showed herself to be incredibly outgoing and energetic. She wasn't afraid to approach others and attempt to befriend them. She also wasn't afraid to express her opinions and thoughts. This annoyed some of her peers and sometimes caused others to have ill will to her.
Hestia was a fairly easygoing child, growing up. At school, she was considered a good student because she was quiet in class and she did most of her work. Most of her peers were alright with her, but there was one group of students who didn't feel the same. At first this didn't bother Hestia. However one day this escalated quite far, into a physical conflict. Out of panic she accidentally magically threw them back. Their memories were of course altered and they don't remember these events being magical. They were quite ashamed that they lost the fight In a way to get back at her they told others that she had done this without aggravation. This seemed believable to them because when she was approached by this she often reacted in anger.
As a result of bullying, Hestia changed. She was less outgoing around strangers and she was no longer as bold as she used to be. She kept to herself more. She stayed inside more and explored less, not wanting to risk seeing her classmates around town. As a result of these changes and not having a lot of friends. She was left with a lot of free time and boredom. She eventually began spending this on the internet. This all changed the summer of her eleventh birthday.
Before the summer of her eleventh birthday, Hestia knew nothing of her heritage. Her mother kept it a very well hidden secret because she never used her magic. Hestia knew that her mother hadn't talked to her family in years, but was never told why. During the summer she overheard a argument that her parents were having. She heard her dad telling her mom 'she deserves to know'. Hestia couldn't tell what this could exactly mean.
Before the letter came her mother sat her down and explained to her that they were witches and that they had magic. Hestia didn't believe her at first, but after some more explaining from her mother she believed it. After the letter came Hestia questioned her mother as to why she never told Hestia about this before. Hestia had seen the beauty of Diagon alley and couldn't see why anybody would want to hide this. Her mother didn't tell her much she just told Hestia 'you wouldn't understand'. Hestia felt a little resentment because of this. She realized that she would be lost in the wizarding world due to her mother's choices.
Life During Hogwarts: Hestia is currently a first year. She was sorted into Slytherin during the sorting ceremony.
Personality: Hestia has a high amount of energy and spirit. Around those she doesn't know well she acts reserved and quiet, afraid of making the wrong move. However once she gets closer and more comfortable around others, she shows herself to be more outgoing. Her high energy causes her to be very adventurous and curious. Occasionally she follows this need for adventure and her curiosity and gets herself into trouble and mischief. Her her energy and spirit effects how she reacts to her own emotions, including her anger. This can be troublesome and get her into conflicts with others.
