Pre-Hogwarts:

Cassandra was born to a wizard-born family from Sutton upon tern to Colton and Margaret Halverson. She has two older siblings who are Gideon and Emma, they are more extroverted than Cassandra which can make it hard for her to get along with them. They live in a small city with historical ties to the early 1900s. Her parents had taught her and her two older siblings to be cautious around muggles. They lived on the very outskirts of the town so that no one knew about their secret. Her parents homeschooled all three of them until they turned eleven on their birthdays. They taught them both muggle history and wizard history in case they ventured into town for supplies. The people in the town didn't bother them since they dressed and acted like normal muggles when they went to town. It made it easier to live near a town of muggles. There is the river called Tern that is near her town, she would often venture to a little clearing on the side to read books and get some peace and quiet from her bother and sister. Both of her parents knew where she was at all times though. Now, her siblings have both graduated from Hogwarts. They still come by the house, when they can get time off. Cassandra has gotten used to being the only child home since they both left the house to live in their own places. She still goes out to her clearing since it makes her feel safe and secure. She now goes into town more often to be around kids her age. Her parents let her get a library pass so she could go somewhere safe in town. She usually has the family dog Chello with her, when she goes out anywhere. She tries not to stay too long inside the library when she brings him with her but she sometimes sneaks him in with her when she doesn't want to leave him outside. The librarians know that she does this but they overlook the whole situation because Cassandra doesn't bother anyone and Chello stays quiet in the library. Since he is the family dog he has to stay home when she goes to Hogwarts, which is another reason she keeps him close because she wants to spend as much time with him before she leaves for school. She is excited to get her letter when the time comes.

Does she like her nicknames?
Only people close to her can call her Cassie. Her parents will call her Sandra when they want her to do something for them. They only use her full name if she is in trouble. Pipsqueak is a hated nickname her siblings call her just to mess with her. They both tower her since she is still growing.

How does she look?
She has extremely long platinum blonde hair that she usually keeps tied up in a ponytail or pushed back with a headband. She has her ears pierced in about 5 different spots. Her parents were against it at first but they relented when they were confident she could take care of her ears. She will sometimes put temporary tattoos in the shape of flowers on her shoulders and arms. Though she usually keeps them covered up if she is going anywhere with a conservative atmosphere. She is a little below the average height at four feet tall and she only weighs about sixty-eight pounds because she is so small. She is very skinny but eats like any healthy eleven-year-old child just with a high metabolism.

Hogwarts:
Cassandra received her letter to go to Hogwarts! She was so excited that she just froze before opening the letter. Since the realization, she would be leaving her home and her family kicked in, she then became somber when her parents pulled back to reality about the letter. At their prodding, she opened the letter to read the words she had been expecting to read since she turned eleven a week ago. It's hard to get mail to where she lives sometimes especially owls. Chello always scares them off when he barks at them and they just drop the letters at his feet. They are the only animal he barks at which never made sense to anyone in our family. Her mother made a celebratory dinner for that night to celebrate the occasion. She spent most the night with her parents and Chello slept in the bed with her that night, as he has done since her birthday. He usually sleeps in his bed at the foot of the bed in her room. The next day, her parents took her to Diagon Alley with Chello, of course, to get her supplies. She was excited to buy her robes for school something she has never had to do since she is homeschooled as a child. She was going to learn what it is like to be in a true school setting.

Now, she has arrived at Hogwarts, she was sorted into Ravenclaw and then placed in her dorm room. She is excited to begin her classes. Her parents gave her some pictures of them and Chello to help her through the separation from them. Everyone she has met has really been nice to her. She is ready to start her new life here.
