Carpe diem

Nicky woke up in a cheerful state as usual, but now while she was running to breakfast she was even more excited because in her pocket was lying a letter with extraordinary news:
"Dear Nicky!!!! I am writing to you an extra letter because I couldn't wait until tomorrow to tell you the most extraordinary thing! Your aunt Cassie, the one who got married last year - you remember, right? She is going to have twins!!!!! You are going to have two more cousin's - at once! Isn't that EXCITING?! I AM ALREADY THINKING ABOUT WHAT TO GIVE THEM FOR THEIR FIRST BIRTHDAY - YELLOW RATTLES OR GREEN RATTLES PLEASE WRITE SOON I NEED YOUR HELP! But also don't worry too much about it, I am sure you have many things to do and lots of incredible people to meet! Go and seize the day, Carpe Diem as the Romans would say!!!!!

All the way down the stairs she was trying to imagine all kinds of rattles in both colors but they were all so adorable that nearing the great hall she started to understand even better why it was such a dilemma for her mother. She ran into the great hall like a young deer, almost tripped over someone's cat that happened to be in her way but jumped over it gracefully and galloped to the Gryffindor table. She tried to find someone to talk to because her brain was bubbling with excitement and she wanted so much to tell each and every friend of hers about the cousins that were going to be born. But for some reason she couldn't find Rafa anywhere and Sakura was nowhere to be seen. This could only mean one thing - she was going to meet more new friends. Nicky took a seat by the table next to a girl from her year. They had never talked before and now she was about to correct this mistake. After all, not knowing someone well if you have classes together is almost a crime. So with the same smile of an enthusiastic teddy bear Nicky started chirping:
"Hi! How are you? I'm Nicky by the way, I'm in Gryffindor too! And what's your name?"
