Saoirse dried her hair, a good meal, a best friend, and a nice, hot shower made this day amazing. Gabby had just been hanging around for the past 5-6 minutes, doing her homework Saoirse guessed. Saoirse had changed into her night outfit, a bright yellow, black, and white Badger t-shirt and some shorts. She stepped out of the bathroom and waved at Gabs,"do you have clothes?" The redhead hopped onto her bed and grabbed her book, careful not to do disturb the candle upon the table, "because you can borrow some of mine." That looked like a lie, Saoirse wore L in Juniors and not the middle-school Juniors but it was the thought that counts.

"So do you want to do some homework together? I can't mess up on my Charms again."Saoirse opened her book and took her quill looking up at Gabby, "y'know these rooms are great, when I first went here I wished for a TV and not just books and newspapers, now I realize they do that well because it ruins the feel, your meant to enjoy yourself her without something like technology messing it up." Saoirse giggled, "literally, magic and technology don't mix well with one another."

The redhead stalled for a second, "hey wanna see something cool?" She said, of course Gabby's answer didn't matter because immediately after saying that she picked up her hair and turned a glistening golden blonde, completely offset from her typical hair color. Blinking she changed her eyes to a hazel then back to sapphire blue and then once again focused on her hair from black to brunette to blonde to white to pink to blue. She was having way too much fun showing Gabby her abilities.

Gabby settled down on a comfy looking couch as Saoirse showered. It was a bit old, but in a good, homely sort of way, as if it had been lived in for a long time. The red color was fading slightly, and the fabric cracked slightly when Gabby sat down, wheezing at the added weight. As she waited for Saoirse to finish, Gabby pulled out her homework and positioned her quill, ready to start. Slowly, slowly, careful to write neatly, Gabby started writing her Astronomy homework. It didn't take long for the Slytherin girl to loose interest and be bored by the tedious work. Luckily, Saoirse exited the bathroom quickly, and started talking quickly about the room.
"Yeah, I have clothes. But I think I'll just take my cloak off, then change later."
She shrugged her school cloak off and threw it over the couch before continuing to talk.
" Good idea! I have to do my Astronomy homework. Which I absolutely suck at. I don't really get it, even if I try really hard. Like, it doesn't really click, if that makes sense."
She bit the inside of her cheeks in annoyance, but was quickly distracted with Saoirse's demonstration of her abilities.
"Oh my god, how do you do that? Is that normal? I mean, I'm not from a wizarding family, but I haven't seen anyone that can do that. Don't get me wrong, its awesome Do you learn how to do it, or where you taught?"

Saoirse shrugged, "I can help you with Astronomy, it's one of my better classes." She paused gasping for air before giggling at Gabby's response to Metamorph powers, "well I was born with it, I'm what they call a Metamorphmagus, which means I can change my appearance at will. I can't entirely change every bit of my body yet, but my relatives on my mom's side all can. One moment they can be themselves and next they can change their eyes, ears, hair, nose, any body feature, they can even change into other people."

Saoirse took another pause, "but regardless of how well I understand it, I still suck at Transfiguration homework. I try but I'm not a details person, I like things simple as they come." The girl sighed and rubbed her temples before changing her hair into a strawberry blonde, "there's nothing to worry about when I do this though, I'm okay. Just a 'little a special' as my mom used to say." She smiled at Gabby, "I want to become an Animagus too, but I probably don't have high enough grades to ask for it yet. So that's that idea gone and done with." Saoirse stretched her legs and took out her homework and quill.

"Ah well, there goes my chance of highlighting my hair," Gabby said good naturedly, "But seriously, that is really, really cool. I bet heaps of people would give their left arm to be able to do something like that. You would make a really good secret agent!"

When Saoirse said that she would help her with her Astronomy, Gabby smiled.
"Thanks. I need help with the planets. Should I count Pluto as a planet, or not? My teacher mentioned it in class, but I can't remember what she said. Do you, by any chance? If you do, that would be a massive help."

"I suck at Transfiguration as well!" Gabby exclaimed, excited to find a similarity. "But it's more because Transfiguration classes have so much talking, and I have the attention span of a four year old boy, I'm always drifting off. And yes, being able to be an Animagus would be amazing. I'm pretty good at some classes, but I suck at others. I guess that's like everyone though. So, that means only the really smart kids get to try and be an Animagus, right? How do they chose anyway? Who becomes an Animagus, I mean. The teacher would choose, right?"

Saoirse chuckled, scribbling down her homework. "Yeah, my cousins always envied me. It does come with some good perks though, and you have a better chance of becoming an auror." The girl looked up at Gabby, smiling, as she opened her 'Lesson Book' its dusty pages flew up with all the notes she had taken and the pages of homework she had put in there, she removed a bright yellow-incased note and put it on her homework page.

"I think Pluto can be counted as a planet," she looked over at Gabby again and spoke up, "how does this blonde look?" She pulled down a strand of her hair and twirled it, "my Grandma always hated me changing it to a blonde, she thought it made me look Scottish rather than Irish, and she's very Irish." The girl rolled her eyes and flicked something down on her paper, "I love her but sometimes she gets too upset for her own good. She got so upset the first time she heard I was going to Hogwarts, I mean she was happy for me but she didn't like the fact the majority of the next seven years of my life would be spent here--err..well not here but you get what I mean, Hogwarts."

"Well, maybe it's just her way of showing you that she cares, that she's going to miss you," Gabby consolingly told Saoirse.
Gabby herself wasn't very sure if anyone was missing her, because most of the people closest to her actually attended Hogwarts. These people were her elder siblings, Luis and Sofia, who Gabby loved more than anything else in the world. Gabby's mother wasn't exactly an emotional person, but neither was Gabby. So the only people that might miss Gabby were her two younger brothers, Sammy and Junior, who she also loved. Leaving them had been tough, she missed their silly games and contagious laughs everyday. Thinking of her brothers, Gabby couldn't blame Saoirse's grandma for not wanting the Hufflepuff to go off to Hogwarts.

"Thanks for the Pluto thing, by the way," Gabby said quickly, scribbling down some notes on her parchment with her quill that had lain by the side of the chair for the whole of the time.
"So, what's your grandma like? Two of my grandparents live in Chicago, in America, and the other two grandparents live in Columbia, so I don't see any of them much. Do you live with her? What's she like?"

Saoirse nodded, "I know, it's just love and care at the end of the day but sometimes its gets real annoying." It came apparent to her that somewhere along the lines, Gabby had stated she had siblings and a large family. Well the Hufflepuff did have a large family, a real large family that scattered across Europe thrown together in piles. "You have siblings, right? And they're at Hogwarts...?" Saoirse mumbled, she just now remembered her hair was still frizzy and wet but it worked together and made her feel even more relaxed.
"So, what's your grandma like? Two of my grandparents live in Chicago, in America, and the other two grandparents live in Columbia, so I don't see any of them much. Do you live with her? What's she like?"
Saoirse thought hard for a second, her story was quite upsetting and it caused Saoirse to want to apologize for something she didn't even do, though she was clicked out of thought when the fireplace between the beds lit up with bright orange flame. She had forgotten the hearth was there for a few moments before turning back to answer Gabby's question.

"Well I come from an almost entirely Gaelic family, we have only about 0.1% British blood. My maternal grandfather is dead, thankfully he passed from old age and went peaceful--" she began choking up, he was one of the lights of her world, she remembered that day years ago as tears streamed down her face. "We were there me and the rest of his grandchildren, curled up in his lap. We decided to take a nap and when woke up, he didn't." She shook her head as her blonde color dissolved. "But my maternal grandmother his wife, lives in Kelso, Scotland. We go and see her every Autumn and Spring break. And of course my muggle grandparents live in Dublin, Ireland. We moved there when I was three, my father began renting a townhouse with my grandparents and then my paternal, muggle aunt and uncle along with their children moved in and started helping with rent."

"And my paternal grandma is kind, very strict but kind and cares for everyone's wellbeing."

"I actually have four siblings," Gabby told Saoirse, always willing to talk about her siblings. "I've got an older brother and older sister, Luis and Sofia, who go to Hogwarts. Luis is in Year Four, and Sofia is in Year Two, and it's pretty fun having them at school with me. But I also have two younger brothers at home, Sammy and Junior. Junior's actual name isn't Junior, it's Sebastian Jr., but we call him that so that him and our dad, who's called Sebastian, don't get mixed up."

"Wow, that's really sad about you're granddad," Gabby said, feeling guilty for bringing it up. She internally wished that she'd never asked the question, but it was a bit too late for that too. Quickly, Gabby's thoughts urged herself, start to talk about something else. Then we can change the subject into something a bit less depressing. Well, maybe not depressing. More... tearful.
"So, are you any good at Quidditch? I haven't had a lot of practice, being a muggle, but I think I'd be best at Seeker. Since I'm smaller, I'm faster, and I reckon I've got an okay aim. What about you? Do you have a position you're really good at? Gonna try out for the teams?"

Saoirse smiled, "I bet it's fun to have siblings here at your school." She smiled.
"Wow, that's really sad about you're granddad,"
Saoirse flashed another smile, "don't worry, Gabby. There's no reason to feel guilty, I just miss him. That's not your fault." She sighed, "maybe we should call in room service, and snack on some popcorn?" She looked over at the young Slytherin lounging in the chair, scribbling down her homework.

"Ummm....I don't know if I'm good at Quidditch, I've only ever played a friendly game once. I'd probably be good at Seeker too, we fit the same criterea, besides that's the only position I've ever played."
She paused, taking in a deep breath, "yeah, I wanna try out." Taking another deep breath, she sighed and stretched her arms. "So uh wadda you wanna do tomorrow? We could go to Diagon Alley and go shopping." She said, "or we could hang out here and go to the game room." Motioning downstairs, "once again its your call, we have two days and two more nights do stuff or we could put on some clothes and go somewhere."

The redhead dipped her feather quill into the ink and smiled, "or we could go somewhere different." She smirked, "I have a, slightly pricey idea if you want to hear it."

"The popcorn is a good idea," Gabby said. Twisting around, she could see the rectangular window that sat on the wall behind her. It showed the tops of neighboring houses, colored dark brown, but above the roofs she could just see the sun, fading orange and red in the sky. She hadn't kept track of the time, and hadn't noticed how the time had flow by. Getting food to be brought up here was a good idea.
"We should have dinner," Gabby said, telling Saoirse her thoughts. "It's getting pretty late, and we should get dinner before we go to bed. Does that sound like a good idea? Of course, we still have a bit of time, but we should do it sooner or later."

"Diagon Alley is a good idea!" Gabby exclaimed excitedly. "I mean, obviously I've been there before, but that was when I was shopping for school. It'll be fun to do it with nothing to do, if that makes any sense at all. We could look at all the interesting shops, and stuff like that!"

Gabby was slightly mystified by Saoirse's idea.
"What do you mean, pricey?" she asked cautiously, not exactly sure what to think. "What idea do you have?"
