Shopping in Diagon Alley Pt. 03
Unlike the other shops, the good thing about a bookstore was that she didn't have to wait for a shopkeeper to pick up her books. The store was filled with different books in shelves some were even on the floor piled up due to the current demand for the new school year. Evelyn had no doubt that the large piles on the floor were her textbooks and slightly annoyed that they had been left on the floor in such a way. The books could be damaged if someone crashed into them.
She made her way around the piles and grabbed the ones that had been on the shelf instead, hoping that they would be in the best condition. The one that caught her interest the most was Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them. Compared to the other children who were born in this world with parents who also were they had been taught much of this stuff and Evelyn felt that she had a lot of catching up to do.
If she could get to the point where she didn't seem like such a noob then she would be happy and hold a decent magical conversation with someone. Which is one of the reasons she had been avoiding other potential students at least until its time to go to the school. After picking up her items she placed them in her cauldron that she carried around her arm and went to tell the shopkeeper that way they knew she had arrived.
