Exploring the library
After eating lunch, Alan went to the library and decided to explore books in the
library.He took the books he bought at Diagon Alley to the library. He was full of anticipation of exploring library in Hogwarts.
He pushed the door of the library and was surprised. He saw a flood of books on the shelf making his eyes dazzling. Those books fill every single shelf to maximum capacity, leaving no room for anything more.The library is quiet that he can hear the sound of a needle dropping onto the ground.He walked silently and hoped not to disturb others in the library.
Walking towards the left side of the library, he found subjects in the Divine arts such as Divination, Astrology, Arithmancy, and books on them.Alan was interested in those books,especially Divination
and Astrology.He took a book on the shelf and slipped to an empty seat. He found that the light is from the candles floating in the air.He tried to touch the candles and it extinguished.
"Wow!Amazing!"
He had forgotten that he was in the library and said it too loud.Many eyes stared at him and he felt embarrassed.He hoped there was a hole that he can hide in it.
"S...Sorry!" Alan apologise sincerely to the others.
He quickly put his books on the table and continue exploring the library.He saw a restricted area in the library.There are many old books with dust on the shelf and seemed like very dirty.There is a Librarian in front of the restricted area.He stretched out his head and wanted to see what's inside the library. It becomes darker and darker and narrower.Hence, he has an idea of exploring the restricted area. Suddenly, the Librarian walked towards him and told him,"Hey,student,you are not allowed to enter this restricted area."The librarian smiled weirdly and said with a crack voice,"There are ghosts in it.So,you better not go inside."
Alan felt dangerous and gave up the idea of exploring the restricted area although he knew there were no ghosts in it.He just felt tired to argue with the Librarian.At the back of the library, he saw aisle tables near a single window which can let students enjoy the beautiful scene of Hogwarts while doing homework and reading books. That would not be the only window, though, as the entire left wall of the library was also lined with windows, of which looked out onto the Hogwarts grounds, and the marvelous Great Lake.
He think this is the only the place where he can concentrate in studying and reading books as he can feel the nature through the picturesque landscape of Hogwarts.
