It was a slow. Tuesday at the library. There were a few students who graced the room's many tables, and the aisles were relatively barren. The whole room reeked of silence. Rafa didn't like the quiet. It's not that the lack of sound made him uncomfortable or anything. Silence just seemed like another unspoken rule, and if there was one thing Rafa despised, it was rules.
The way the librarian was glaring at him at the moment was just making him irritable. She knew he wanted to make a noise. Her eyes were boring into his brain, setting alarms off in his head. He huffed, and decided to hold his tongue for the moment. Taking a seat in a little alcove near the back, he set his books down and took a short moment to relax. In a school like this, relaxation seemed as far away as his home country. No one knew him, and no one understood him. He was just a stranger in a school of English-speaking magic-users. And, if he were completely honest, it was lonely. But Rafa wasn't worried. He liked challenges.
This school was definitely a puzzle. But Rafa wasn't going to let this school year defeat him. It didn't matter what the teachers threw at him. He wouldn't back down. He could be the best, he knew it.
But, for now, he had to focus on his grades. He had started advertising an all-male study group, and it had gotten a few bites, but with every moment that passed by, Rafa's doubt began to grow. Is this a waste of time? Should I just cut my losses and head back to the common room?

Dallas walked into the library. He saw a librarian staring at a boy. I walked over to a shelf and looked over at the boy, he had the Gryffindor emblem on his robe, looked deep in thought, and his feet were propped up on the table.
He's probably not going to like me because I'm a Hufflepuff. I mean, I'm a little disappointed in myself. My parents told me they were proud of me but I really wanted to be either a Ravenclaw or a Gryffindor. I guess the sorting hat doesn't lie though. My dad has always told me how nice of a guy I was so he might has suspected that I was going to be a Hufflepuff.
I turn back toward the shelf, I don't want to keep looking at him, he might think I'm weird. I pick up a book titled "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." I sit at the table next to that boy and glance at him over the top of my book. He has brown hair and he looks tuff (that's a reference to the Outsiders book). He has brown eyes that are like the color of a chocolate frog.
I clear my throat and nervously say, "Hello mate, my name is Dallas, Dallas Hunter. What's your name?"
He looks up at me, "Rafa D'Spacito."
OOC: I have permission from the other person in this to make him talk.

when life gives you lemons, make orange juice and then watch as the world wonders how you did it.

"Hello, mate. My name is Dallas - Dallas Hunter," the newcomer said. He seemed relatively comfortable, though Rafa could affirm that he had never seen this boy in his entire life. His light brown eyes searched Rafa's almost hesitantly, as if he were having second thoughts. "What's your name?" he asked slowly.
Rafa leaned back in his chair, looking the newcomer over. "Rafa D'Spacito," he said smoothly, propping his feet on the table. The librarian sent him another sharp glare, but otherwise overlooked his actions. Rafa wasn't paying attention to this, though. On the contrary, he was studying Dallas. He had brown hair and pale skin, and a face that seemed to smile, even if his mouth wasn't in the position. He had a determined air about him, his eyes never leaving Rafa's. Though, he was holding his book upside-down.
"Um, what?" Dallas said awkwardly, his eyebrow raised. "Do I have something on my face?"
Rafa decided to ignore this remark. Instead, he took a book from his pile and set it smack-dab in the middle of the table, the contact, sending a jolt of noise throughout the room. The librarian gave an outraged huff, looking as if she were moments away from banning him. "What do you know about Transfigurations?" he asked nonchalantly, crossing his arms in amusement.
