History/Background Story: 
Myrina's life was rather standard and uneventful. She was born and raised in a rather large home on the edge of Killarney, Ireland. Her mother, Alysson, died in childbirth, so the only female role model she had was her Nanny, who came into the picture almost a day later. Myrina doesn't know life any other way. Her father wasn't absent, but he certainly wasn't winning any Number 1 Dad awards either. 

Myrina was home-schooled, not that she minded. She practically lived inside of their at-home-library. However, this leaves her social skills extremely lacking. It's hard to miss what you never had and Myrina has never had any friends. Her best friend is a book and that's a sad truth. It's never slowed her down before, she loves to learn. Her father started her obsession with books. Every week he would bring her a new one back from London. It helped build their extensive reading collection. 

The first time Myrina ever experienced magic was when she was about 7, which her father found odd in itself. It was something small and he wasn’t even sure she noticed. Myrina had asked for a cookie before dinner and he told her no and when she stormed out, one of the cookies lifted from the pan and began to float behind her, following her, but he snatched it out of the air before it could get to her. That was the only time they know it happened until just before her 11th birthday when she accidentally exploded a milkshake on another girl at a restaurant. The girl had been whining in a shrill voice and had been asked several times to calm down, which had been disturbing Myrina as she read her book and the annoyance triggered a rather sticky disaster a few tables away. It made Myrina laugh, and her father scolded her for it, but she could tell he wanted to laugh too.

It's hard to describe the relationship she has with her father. He shows up when it's important, but he was barely there for the little things. He worked a lot, and that's the excuse Myrina sticks too if ever asked. He is important. But she doesn't really know a lot about him. He can talk about her, but not the other way around. His name is Markus Andrew Kesterson. He gave her the same initials as him, though he never told her why. He works at the Ministry of Magic. His favorite color is blue. He doesn't like kale or coffee. That's it. Myrina doesn't go into specifics because she doesn't know them, and she hides the fact that it hurts her.

She has this unknown to desire to please him. Although he has never given her a reason to believe that he is upset with her, or thinks she is going to fail, she still craves to have him look at her proudly and tell everyone that she's his. This ambition will only continue to grow within her.

Since arriving at Hogwarts Myrina was sorted into Slytherin and was more than surprised. With her love for knowledge and books she assumed she would end up in a different house, but is still excited all the same.
