The Beginning!
Having been dropped off at the platform by her father and then told that she had to run into a wall with her trolley before he left again she was left standing there a little clueless. Run into a wall? What was he talking about? And then she saw it, a family of witches and wizards running into a wall, it was the one after the one she was standing at, but when they ran at the wall, they didn't crash they just disappeared. Was that safe with all the muggles around? Did nobody notice? She shrugged and after the family had finished going through the barrier she closed her eyes, took a deep breath and then ran straight at the wall.
She could feel the wind rushing through her hair as she ran through the barrier. When she opened her eyes again there she was, on the other side looking at all the bustling families standing on Platform 9 and 3 quarters and there, directly in front of her was the bright red paint of the Hogwarts Express, her heart jumped with excitement.
She placed her belongings in the correct place but not without taking out her favourite book first and then she headed onto the main part of the train. Clinging her book to her chest and fixing her robes with one hand she walked down the train looking for an empty compartment. Upon finding one she slid the door open and took a seat inside by the window and geared up for her first ever train ride to Hogwarts with a very goofy smile on her face. She opened her book to the page she had bookmarked and began to read, eager to begin her life at Hogwarts.

The Beginning!
Chezem Balthazar ws waving farewell to his parents as they departed, telling him that Hogwart's Deputy Headmistress had told them that to reach the platform 9 3/4, he had to run straight through the pillar between platforms 9 and 10. He thought that was ridiculous because any number of Muggles could see that happening, they weren't just going to ignore people disappearing into a pillar. This wasn't Percy Jackson, no 'mist' would cover that up.
He shook his head as he thought about where he would be going if he and his family had not moved to England. The blonde would still be in France and heading to Beauxbatons via the French Ministry of Magic because that was a lot safer than running into a wall. He kept his eyes wide open as he ran through the wall because it wouldn't do to run into someone on the other side and make an enemy first thing. Luckily, he didn't see anyone there and made his way to the train. Everywhere else seemed to be full so he found one relatively empty and knocked before opening the door.
Inside was a girl with brown hair. "Excusez-moi, madamoiselle, but may I sit in here?" He questioned with his French accent bleeding into his voice. "Everywhere else seems to be filled up and I would rather not risk intruding on someone else's conversation.

The Beginning!
Aurelia looked up, her brown eyes moving from the book she was reading to the compartment door, there was a young blonde boy standing there he looked a little lost. She heard his question and gave a genuine smile, "Of course, there's plenty of room." She added before shuffling over a bit as she was sitting more towards the middle of the seat than she was towards the window.
She noticed there was an accent when he spoked and she was trying to figure out where exactly he came from. She looked over at him again after he took a seat and spoke up, "I hope this isn't too personal of a question to ask, but where do you come from?" She didn't want to sound insensitive for asking about his origins, she knew some people would take it the wrong way.
Upon receiving a response to her question she smiled and nodded, "Wow, must be a beautiful country. I'm Aurelia by the way. Aurelia Blake." She put her bookmark back into her book and placed it beside her on her seat. "Are you looking forward to starting Hogwarts? I've been so excited from the second I received the owl informing me of my acceptance and I can't wait to see how beautiful the school itself is."

The Beginning!
Upon hearing her ask where he was from, he replied with France and then proceeded to answer her other question whence he saw her put down her book after (thankfully) putting a bookmark in it, implying she was interested in his answer.
"I am unsure how I feel about going to Hogwarts. I grew up expecting to go to Beuxbatons, see. I don't really know much about this place. I've heard that zhere are four houses; Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. I suppose I am a little excited to find out what house I will be in. I'm hoping for either Slytherin or Hufflepuff. I don't think I'd like being in Gryffindor, I despise cats. Bad accident with one when I was just a little boy."
Chezem started rambling and cut himself off, looking over at the girl he now sat beside. "So, are you looking forward to finding out what house you will be in? What house do you think they'll sort you into?" He asked. Personally, he didn't understand the sorting into houses. People change, theres always a chance they could change so they didn't fit into their house anymore and he couldn't imagine being somewhere you eventually wouldn't belong.

The Beginning!
Aurelia giggled softly at the little French boy who sat beside her, she could tell he was nervous from how much he was rambling and it was adorable. She was grateful to know she wasn't the only nervous one although she was nervous for her own reasons. Her parents, they were notorious dark wizards but she was praying nobody would notice her last name was related to them. "Oh Beauxbatons really?" She was intrigued by his answer, "I heard that school is almost as prestige as Hogwarts."
Upon hearing his question she cleared her throat and answered, "My whole family has been in Slytherin and so I assume I will also be placed in that house, family tradition I guess?" She said with a slight smile. She then heard the compartment door slide open and averted her attention to the new girl who now stood at the entry. "No, I was just getting to know Chezem here. You're welcome to sit I'm sure by now the rest of the train is pretty full." Aurelia smiled and signalled to the seat across the way from her. She then turned her attention back to Chezem, "You shouldn't worry too much about what house you'll be sorted into from what I heard they're all wonderful and are supposed to be like your second family." She explained with a smile. Then she turned to the other girl, "My name is Aurelia Blake by the way, pleasure to meet you."

The Beginning!
"Did you say your name was Guinevere?" Chezem asked, immediately perking up at that. "As in, Queen of Camelot, wife of Arthur Pendragon Guinevere? That's amazing! Well, now we need an Arthur and a Merlin, maybe a Morgana and we'll have the complete set! Wait, no, we also need Percival, Gwaine, Elyan, and Lancelot too...Well, butter biscuits, there go my plans of knowing King Arthur's court." He said before pausing and looking at Guinevere. "Oh really? Slytherin is where all the bad guys get sorted, hm? Actually, Merlin himself was a Slytherin. I heard from mother that the schools mediwitch is a graduate of Slytherin, and I'm sure I don't need to remind everyone that Peter Pettigrew was evil and he was a Gryffindor." He said.
If he sounded rude, it wasn't because he was trying to be. He had spent years being an outcast and being stereotyped because of his nationality and he hated it. He didn't like the idea that there was such prejudice and stereotyping of a school house. This tied into him being against schools having houses anyway. What did it do? Other than separate the students and stir up unwanted and unneeded rivalry? He didn't understand it and it was ridiculous.
"Well, I for one would hate to be sorted into Gryffindor. I'm terrified of cats, they are evil little beasties, and I hate the colour yellow so Hufflepuff is out. So it's between Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Then again, I do not like learning anything that I'm not interested in, so that marks out Ravenclaw. I think the only place I can go is Slytherin. I'm serious about the cat thing. I start panicking and having trouble breathing."

The Beginning!
Guinevere listened as the boy went into a verbal frenzy, pleasantly surprised by his bubbly demeanour. Taken aback by the rapid pace at which her new acquaintance could fire words from his mouth, she smiled sheepishly.
"Honestly, I don't know a lot about the whole wizarding world. I was raised like a muggle, but it turns out my mum's been a witch all along; it's complicated," she admitted, "but the things I've read about Slytherins!"
The death-eaters, the pure-blood-fanatics; Lord Voldemort himself. All the bad-guys from the wizarding war, save for a few.
"Actually, I do admire the ambition and cunning of the Slytherin house. Only thing is, I'd rather not be sorted there because I don't want folks thinking I'm a bad apple. Well, also isn't it just a house for purebloods?"
Despite being a half-blood witch, Gwen knew next to nothing about the wizarding world. Being an academic die-hard and athletic overachiever, she resented being out of her element; especially given that other witches and wizards of her age had been immersed in the magical world for their entire lives. A brief skim of Hogwarts, A History and her history of magic text had proven interesting and exciting, but ultimately lead her to draw some misguided conclusions about the reality of the wizarding world.
"Well, if you say that Merlin was a Slytherin then I guess they can't all be so bad after all. He's a lad of my court, afterall," she agreed. Lots of people had jokes about King Arthur and his round table when it came to her name, but she'd never met anyone who could so easily recite all his knights; even she only knew a couple of them.
"Impressive, by the way. I don't think I got your name?"

The Beginning!
Chezem's face seemed to light up when she went with his joke about the knights of the round table and looked like he could just about die happily. But then Guinevere asked him what his name was and he realised that he had not introduced himself yet and he immediately blushed, looking down and away rather sheepishly.
"Oh, right, my name is Chezem Balthazar. But, you can call me Chez, Bal, or Cheez-it." He said, smiling as he said the last one. That particular nickname had come about because he had dressed up as a box of Cheez-its for Halloween one year and the name kind of just stuck after that.
"Pardon me for asking and I hope you do not mind me being forward, but may I call you Gwen for short?" He questioned, hoping she said yes because that was rather a bit of a mouthful. The blonde turned to look at her and wait for her answer as he loosened the drawstring on his bag and pulled out a book, flipping through it and grabbing the ribbon from it, putting the book back inside of the bag and closing it up before he tied the ribbon around his wrist.

The Beginning!
Aurelia listened to their conversation not really knowing where to jump in, she wanted to say something about Slytherin but there were just no gaps for her to jump into the conversation in any way shape or form. Feeling quite secluded she just picked up her book again, opening it back to the place where she had just stopped reading from not too long ago.
If she wasn't going to get a word in edgeways between the two other students she might as well just read she thought. She leaned her head against the window as she continued to read from her book, she was almost finished and really didn't have much left to read.
Whilst the other two continued their jovial chat she came to an end with her book. She closed the book which had quite a worn binding, clearly showing she had read this book many many times. She slipped it into a little pocket she had added to her cloak and then pulled out her sketchpad and pencil instead. Looking out over the passing country side, Aurelia took a moment to analyse it before deciding on exactly what she wanted to draw and with a few swift movements she had started her sketch with ease.

The Beginning!
The sudden change of conversation towards her made her jump, startled she looked up and nervously smiled, "Just the passing country side..." she explained with a quick laugh. She looked back down again and began drawing a cow into her picture, "You guys were having such a good conversation I didn't really wanna interupt and to be honest I didn't really know where to jump in and so I started drawing." She explained before putting her pencil down as she had finished her sketch. She handed the book over to Gwen so she could have a look at the sketch.
"What do you think..?" She asked hoping to hear something good about her art but she was always open to critiques. She played with the pencil in her hand and then proceeded to put it back into the pocket in her cloak. Upon receiving feedback she smiled, "I appreciate the feedback." She then took her sketchpad back and put it back into her cloak also. Then she looked back up at Gwen, "Is it alright if I call you Gwen to?"
"So, Gwen what are your family like?" She asked, genuinely interested as hers was not the kindest in the slightest, her family were the worst and she envied kids of happy homes.
