Robin Thompson | First Year | Hufflepuff

Robin lived in Bristol, England all her life. Her family was there and so were her friends so she never had a reason to leave. She had visited America a few times but she always wanted to go back home. Her mother was anxious when she was ten years old and wouldn't say why. Until Robin was in front of the classroom for show and tell that day. Her mother and father were standing in the back of the room smiling at her and her classmates were staring with no expression. Robin dreaded this moment and got up to the front of the room with shaky legs. Robin stuttered out her words and held back bile. Soon she closed her eyes and imagined flying out of the room. Gasps were heard all around the room. Robin opened her eyes and was somehow taller than before. Looking down, Robin realized her feet were not on the floor anymore. Panicked, she looked at her parents to see them smiling and her mother clapping softly. Her mother instantly took her out of the room and went back in to do something Robin wasn't really sure of. Her mother and father took her home and sat her on the couch. Robin was worried she did something wrong until her mother gave her a big hug and her father patted her head like he usually did. Her mother talked all about Hogwarts and how she was so excited for Robin to take on this adventure. Her mother told her that she was a Hufflepuff and her favorite classes were Astronomy and Potions. Robin went to bed that night dreaming of magic.

On her 11th birthday, Robin received a letter by an owl. Her father handed her the letter and was anxious to see what it said. Her father was a muggle and didn't get the experience that her mother did. Robin opened the letter quickly and read the letter outside. Robin jumped in her seat as she read the words and her father clapped his hands and started to make a list of the things she would need quickly. Her mother took the letter and told Robin she was going to frame it in the living room. Robin watched her parents with glee and was excited to be the new witch in the family.
