Adrian woke up feeling a little homesick today. It’s just one of those bad days everyone experience. It was a fine Saturday morning, she decided to visit the Great Lake in hopes of quailing her homesickness. She wore a simple grey tank top and black shorts underneath her robes, with her Gryffindor themed scarf wrapped around her neck hanging loosely from her shoulders. Adrian let out a soft sigh, I miss them.
Slowly she trudged down the path leading to the Great Lake, maybe surrounding herself with nature may take her mind off of her family. She hopes. She stopped just in front of the Great Lake and took off her shoes. Adrian sat down at the edge of the lake and submerged her feet in the cool water, though she didn’t mind. She used to do this back at home to calm down, therefore the cold of the water was somewhat familiar and calming.
I wonder if there are mermaids here. She thought. She closed her eyes and began to sing in mermish. It was a song the mermaids back home had taught her. She sung about her home, about her family and her love for them. Slowly, some mermaids surfaced. She finished the song and spoke, ~Greetings, graceful one. My name is Adrian and I came here to relax. I hope I’m not bothering you.~
The mermaids smiled at her, ~Worry not child, you aren’t bothering us at all.~ She conversed with the mermaids, she told them about her day, she told them how she was missing home. And so she sat there, talking with the mermaids. This feels like home. She smiled softly.
