Dripping Snow and Aching Memories
Eris found herself wandering the grounds. It was march now, and the snow was just starting to stop falling, so melting puddles of snow could be found everywhere. The melting snow kept most students inside, but not Eris. She loved the crisp breeze, and the sun shining down on her. She loved it so much that after her class instead of doing her homework during break, Eris had headed to the grounds. She stood there for a while, watching snow drip from branches on the various trees just admiring the beauty of the grounds of Hogwarts.
suddenly she found herself remembering her home, and another beautiful place on a day just like this ones. A day spent throwing snowballs with her sister. It was a long time ago. So long ago that Eris's father and mother had their arms around each other, while the two sisters threw snowballs at each other and fought in the snow. It was a good-hearted fight though, as both sisters were smiling and laughing as they horsed around in the snow. Eris smiled fondly, remembering how fun that day was. Then she found herself thinking about another snowy day three years later.
The latter memory was far less pleasant. Her mother screaming unspeakable things, vowing to never love her father, while her father roared with rage and stormed out into the snow, leaving footprints in the snow. A pair of footprints leading away, but not a pair of footprints coming back. in fact, he never came back after that day, and Eris could still remember her mother sinking into a chair and smashing a picture frame onto the floor, screaming as she finally told Eris who she was, as Eris sank to the floor sobbing as well. All the while melting snow dripped down from their roof onto their floor through the open window, as the truth about Jane Eclan's past finally came out, and Eris's world shattered.
As Eris watched snow drip off the leave, reliving her memories, she felt herself sink to the soft ground. She could feel the grass through the snow, and she could feel the aching pain of the freezing cold snow sinking into her uncovered palms. She could also feel hot tears splash onto her robes, as she sat on the ground in melting snow, stuck in the past. She finally let herself cry for the family she had lost, sitting on the ground in the snow, away from any other students, Eris Elcan finally let herself be a grieving child again.

Dripping Snow and Aching Memories
Cameron was chasing his friends in the grounds enjoying the winter break.
"Think you can get me eh?" He gathered some snow in his gloves as he made a snowball and aimed it at his friend as he threw it. The snowball hit his shoulder as his friend gathered snow ready to aim it back at him. Cameron decided to run for it, getting away from his friend that threw the hardest of snowballs he ran West. As he kept running he felt the snow begin to wet his socks underneath his pants and as the snow began to stick. He noticed a girl in the snow before him crying, losing his friend a yard or two behind him. Slowing his pace so he could catch his breath he walked towards her and decided to join her on the ground. "Hey, are you alright?" He asked with concern as he sat beside her wrapping his arms around his knees feeling his bottom sink a half inch into the snow feeling the wet ground beneath. Looking from the crying girl around him as he took in the beauty of the snow and the castle within the distance. It was picturesk and a pleasant scene, if only he had a camera.
