Human Statues, Hilarious Schemes
This would certainly be an unusual morning for all Hogwarts students.
Quinn tiptoed down the corridor, the first tentative rays of sunlight falling into the windows as dawn broke.
There was one thing that the eleven-year-old was infamous for in their neighbourhood, one thing that no one at Hogwarts knew about... yet.
They loved pranking people.
Thinking up a prank, witty, funny, drawing attention - but always harmless, of course, they never wanted to hurt anyone.
Executing that prank - the excitement that they were experiencing this very moment. Adrenaline surged through their body as they were creeping through an empty corridor, hurrying down the moving staircases and desperately hoping that nobody would see them before the time came - how would she ever explain being covered in gold spray-paint?
And watching the astonishment, the confusion of the people she pranked, their faces when trying to figure out what was going on, their utter disbelief.
It was going to be hilarious.
The first-year opened the door to the Great Hall, exhaling with relief at noticing that it had not creaked loudly to alert everyone in close proximity, and slipped through. Once inside, they looked around, carefully checking for anyone who might already be in the Hall, but luckily, the large room seemed to be empty. The food was already set on the tables ready for breakfast, presumably by the many house-elves working at Hogwarts: delicious slices of warm, buttered toast, large containers of water, juice, coffee, a small box with tea bags and a kettle of boiling water next to it, white steam rising from it, nearly up to one of the floating candles that magically seemed to never burn down.
Quinn hurried to take one of the buttered toasts, cramming it into their mouth right away, and a glass of pomegranate juice. After all, when the others had arrived here, they would not be able to have any breakfast, completely occupied by their prank.
They wiped some buttered toast from their top lip and licked their finger, careful not to smear the gold paint. Then, Quinn unzipped a thin cotton bag, bulging with the cylindrical object inside, and pulled out a hatbox, also shimmering in the same shade of golden, dermatologically tested spray paint that covered their hair, face, neck, hands, robes and shoes. Checking themselves in a small mirror, they made sure that not a single inch of bare skin was to be seen, before setting the hatbox on the table. It was quite heavy - Quinn had filled it to the brim with stones, making sure that the lid would not collapse under their weight, and creating the perfect plinth for their Human Statue prank.
They climbed on a chair, leaving a heavy boot's footprint (also golden, of course) and jumped onto the table, plates and cups clinking together as the table shuddered. They stopped dead in their tracks for a moment, anxiously listening if anyone had heard her, had noticed the commotion, was on their way to the Great Hall now - but no footsteps were to be heard in the corridor. They relaxed a little.
Quinn took the bag again, pulled out the aforementioned infamous bottle of gold spray paint, sent by a cousin supposedly to decorate their school supplies.
Well, they had a much better - and funnier - use for it.
Kneeling down, they sprayed a huge golden circle around the hatbox, which was now placed in the middle of the Gryffindor table, making it seem as if it was leaking. Then, Quinn threw the spray paint back into their bag, placed it on the chair with the golden footprint and pulled the chair towards the table so no one would see their supplies unless they pulled back the chair.
They hitched up their robes and stood on the hatbox, their hands folded behind the back, a demure expression on their face, looking to the ground. Standing still, at first glance appearing to be a statue, waiting for the first students to enter the Great Hall.

As he was going near the Great Hall, as he had his wand out even though he shouldn't. Just would muttering the spells that he have been learning in classes with very vague motions as if Keenan wasn't trying to do the spell but rather practice.
More and more people came near the Great Hall as he could smell the food that he has always loved the moment he came here when he got to Hogwarts. To baked goods like those flaky pastries that have a sweet jam within the middle, soups and stews.
God, this place could be weird but it was like those 'all-you-can-eat' buffets like the ones in The States.
Being obvious about everything as all he could care about was food!
Getting inside as a whole lot of kids and teens were in their own groups, talking about either studies or what they learned in class, like little study groups.
With a pathetic sigh, not trying to remember that he didn't have a lot of friends here but it was no problem. He'll start talking to more people once he gotten something into his small yet constantly grumbling stomach.
Going as he sat down by himself as he had himself a little meal. It wasn't too much as it basically had large plate of sunny side-up eggs, 4 slices of bacon and a bagel, which appeared to be a cranberry - raisin brand as it was inside the bagel with the spread of cream cheese.
Aw shoot, they use quills around here! As he searched into his bag, looking for a quill and a little vial of ink.
Life isn't fair. Crippling the people who are coming up with ideas.
Keenan got up, as he was walking out, trying to close his satchel up.
...But something caught his wandering eye before he went out of the great hall, this random statue was here.
Completely out-of-place too!
But it looked really realistic, maybe the staff around Hogwarts got this recently. Hmm, maybe abit too realistic but still, very cool!
Keenan would stare at it for some time, pondering it. Being nosy, he would slowly attempt to poke it's stomach region.

...Bloody Hell, that was actually smart! Taking out his pen -"I wonder if I could ask if they could have a deliver service that uses owls to give the student body food on the summer months."

He sighed as he looked down at his food, looking quite annoyed. "Bah, I'll eat later." Keenan said, making a face as saying those words hurt him physically."Ya' getting to be kiddin' me. I have to ask one of the professors if I can get some ink or something..."

Quinn didn't have to wait long for the first person to arrive. It was a boy, probably a first-year, judging by his size. Waving his wand around and muttering words - presumably spells - under his breath. Quinn caught a glimpse of the Hufflepuff emblem on his robes as he walked past.Interacting with @Keenan Kingsmen

They had to try hard not to burst into fits of giggles at the thought of what would happen next, but somehow managed to keep themselves under control, maintaining a stiff posture, exactly like a statue on a plinth.
However, the Hufflepuff didn't seem to notice them at all, neither did the other students who entered the hall. Exactly how oblivious of their surroundings were they? How could they not notice a life-size statue standing on the Gryffindor table?
Quinn was still watching the first boy who had entered, who was now rummaging through his bag, then stood up muttering something and hurried towards the door.
Suddenly, his wandering gaze caught on something, and Quinn stiffened at once, entirely concentrating on not fidgeting and giving the game away. The Hufflepuff really seemed to mistake them for a statue- he moved closer to them, a curious look on his face, then they suddenly felt a soft prod in their stomach. Quinn felt a strong urge to burst out laughing. Why on earth was he going around poking random statues?
The boy wasn't looking up at their face while he poked, and, making sure nobody else was looking too closely, they tipped their head a little forward, pursed their lips and softly blew, knowing the Hufflepuff would feel it in his hair or at the back of his neck, then quickly straightened and assumed the exact same position as before.

Lunch, Marjorie's favorite class. It wasn't really a class, maybe, but she preferred this time over any other because she got to eat. The food at Hogwarts wasn't as great as home but she her taste buds didn't care at the moment. After two long classes full of lectures she needed to feed her stomach, which was growling at her like some beast.
The young Ravenclaw, dressed in her robes and her regular purple hair, rushed into the Great Hall carrying her books. She made a beeline for the closest chair at her table and slipped into it, oblivious for the moment of anything else. She would look around for friends once she satisfied her stomach and quenched her thirst.
Marjorie grabbed things that qualified as a simple meal, which were two sandwiches, a bunch of grapes, some sweet potatoes wedges, and a goblet full of water. She ate three-quarters of it before she began to slow down, and that's when she looked up.
She happened to be sitting on the side of the table where the Gryffindor table lay right before her. Immediately she noticed the oddity: there was a statue on top.
She paused, staring at it with wide eyes. Sae, is nobody aff tae say anythin' aboot that?... A'richt, then, she thought, whiping her mouth. Marjorie continued to stare. It didn't take long for her to notice that it was fake. It had to be, it would be very strange if the staff decided to put random statues on top of where people had to eat.
A boy who also noticed the statue went over and actually poked it. The golden thing didn't move but Marjorie wasn't fooled. She hesitated for a moment and walked over standing besides the boy. “Isn't it weird that it looks so incredibly realistic? I wonder what century is what made in, obviously not ours.”
She pretended to study the statue, pacing around with her hand on her chin. But she was hiding a smirk; if this was a prank, it sure was a silly one.

Keenan's finger was hovering over the statue for a couple of long, debilitate seconds wondering if he should touch it or not. The slight digit twitched with interested of wanting to feel of the expecting cold touch of metal or rock or whatever this thing was made of.
However, a familiar heat came from it like it was like a human being. Living and ready.
Weird. As Hell! This place always gave Keenan the creeps on why the heck does everything has an aura of being alive. Seeing ghosts fly around the Great Hall was unsettling thing as well, wanting to talk to talks. Always gotta walk fast away from those talkative buggers...
However, his hand drifted back down - Well, more like a startled pull-back as a voice that sounded familiar in a foreign way, feminine tone to it.
At this moment, he would be paying attention to the pure-blood and not the 'statue' anymore for a moment.
He agreed with what the girl was saying about the statue, "
Keenan's slightly bored eyes drifted around for a little before lighting up for a moment,
A slight gust of warm wind brushed Keenan's neck.
He stiffen up like a board covered in cement! The slight quivering of his bottom lip before turning back at the statue, saying innocently,

As Keenan finally turned around, jesting around before taking a good long with a shy smile joining on it's side."Whoa, you gotta be from the Scotland. Prett' easy to hear that from far away, ehe."

The ginger Half-blood speak up, as he nodded his head.Yeah, it's realistic. Just a lil' off with everything. And it feels warm for a statue, freakin' weird."

He added on."Oh yeah! Name's Keenan and... - You have to be a Raven from all of the blue."
