The Water is Peaceful
Whenever something upset Leo, he'd always walk outside and sit under a tree or lay on some grass. There was something about the fresh air that made him feel at peace. Once he heard there was a lake on the school grounds, he knew he had to find it. It didn't take him long. Once he did find it, he knew he'd found his favourite spot. There were piles of large logs, large enough to sit on. Leo looked around before pulling a log and sitting on it, facing the lake. There was a gentle breeze in the air, blowing the hair out of his face gently.
It was a quiet afternoon. There were almost no students around the lake. It had been about an hour since Leo found himself a nice seat, watching the water and the occasional creature that made itself known. Beside him was his bag of sweets his mother gave him the day he left home. He'd eaten all the orange sweets, as they were his least favourite, and was now slowly eating through the green ones. As he sat there, a group of other students were running around, playing games and having fun. A couple of them thought it was fun throwing rocks into the lake. They did so until the creature make a shrieking noise, scaring the students away. Leo laughed and watched them scurry away with frightened looks on their faces. With a gentle sigh, Leo turned back to the water and continued to pick at his sweets.

The Water is Peaceful
Quinn was walking along by the lake, finding peace in the waves quietly clashing against the shore, their sound and motion calmingly repetitive, and the sunlight sparkling on the water of the Great Lake.
They breathed in deeply, inhaling the fresh air; it smelled of wet grass and earth, they had missed that smell badly during lessons.
Suddenly, Quinn noticed a boy sitting by the lake on a pile of logs, his hair ruffled by the wind, sun shining on his pale face. They wanted to move closer when a high-pitched shriek rang out, a group of other first-years who had been throwing rocks into the water, splashing and laughing together ran away in fright, and something that had broken through the clear surface of the water descended back into its dephts.
The Gryffindor's heart was racing, but apparently the boy on his log pile seemed not the least frightened. He was eating sweets, his whole posture calm and relaxed, and - was that a slight smile on his face? Quinn was astonished. Had he been expecting the creature's yell? Was he experienced with this sort of thing?
They ambled over and casually sat down on the log pile, straightened their robes and turned to look at the boy. "Weren't you frightened by that... thing?", they asked curiously. "Did you know that would happen?"

I am not, as chosen in my profile, female, but agender. I use the pronouns they/them. Thanks.
