Who Will be my Partner?

With about ten minutes left until her first potions class began, Victoria found herself at the entrance to the classroom.  The days prior to classes beginning, the eleven year old had walked the corridors of the gigantic castle, mapping out where each of her classes were, as she did not want to be late to any of them on her first day.  She also knew that the odds were with her for getting lost in the endless halls of the enchanted building.

After a moment of preparing herself for the new class, Victoria pushed open the heavy wooden door, dragging her book bag along with her.  The bag had originally been thrown across her shoulder, but as the day went on and her shoulder got tired from the weight, it made its way to the floor beside her, where it scooted along as she walked.

The classroom was set up into many rows of seats for the students, and while many children had already arrived, there were still lots of seats to choose from.  That was just one of the many benefits that the fiery red-head loved about being early to class.  Spotting a row about halfway towards the back of the classroom that was nearly empty, the girl made her way towards what could potentially be her new seat for the remainder of the school year.

As she sat down in her new seat, Victoria threw her bag up on top of the table, with a struggle.  Knowing that she had a little bit of time before the class began, she put her head on top of her bag, wondering who, if anyone, would choose to sit next to her in this class.  She had heard that potions class required a partner.  Would the person that sat next to her be her partner?

Who Will be my Partner?
Chezem adjusted his tie and his robes as he stood directly outside of the Potions Classroom, fiddling with the hem of his sleeve and taking a few deep breaths. This was his very first day of class and he really didn't want to screw up and get kicked out or even worse. The eleven-year-old quickly shook his head to get those thoughts out of his head.

'Come on, Chezem, you can do this.' He thought to himself. 'Through that door is the first step to achieving your goal, you have to do it.

The blonde first year took one deep breath, then another, and pushed the heavy door open. His icy-blue orbs scanned the room for any sign of the Professor, hoping he hadn't spent so much time dawdling outside that he was late. With a sigh of relief, he began scanning the room again, this time searching for a place to sit. He spotted a seat at the back of the room and hurried towards it, slowing down when he saw someone else was already at the table.

Chezem's shyness began to show itself as he slowly walked over and hesitantly tapped her shoulder. "E-Excuse me... Is anyone sitting there?" He asked, pointing at the seat beside her. The young boy knew he was going to have partner with someone for this class, and he really hoped he hadn't just offended someone. Especially since she seemed to be in the house of Lions.
