For the Love of Books
As I was sitting in a cushy chair in the Gryffindor common room I overheard some students asking our prefect where the library was. “I can show you, follow me.” They said. I tagged along. Libraries are always my favourite place to be.
We stopped in front of double wooden doors. My heart was racing with excitement to see what was behind those doors. The prefect led us through and I could see rows and rows of books. Not just any books, but magical books. It was a wonderful sight. I knew I’d be spending a lot of time in here. There were so many to choose from. “Over here,” Our prefect said as a book soared over our heads, “is where you’ll find the material you need for your classes.” Some of them were titles I already purchased from Flourish and Blotts and others were titles I haven’t heard of.
I took one called Great Wizards of the Twentieth Century and began to read it. I found out all sorts of fascinating stuff about wizards and their accomplishments. It was getting late and the librarian let everyone know it was 10 minutes until closing so I decided to take the book out. Back in my dormitory I read the book until I was too tired to.

Books are the windows to my soul
