Help I’m Dumb
@Rhea Bishop
Okay, Carson, admittedly, wasn’t the best student. Okay, he wasn’t even a good student. He aimed for solid A’s in his classes and an E would be like, a perfect score for him, so it wasn’t surprising when he was recommended for a student helper.
He didn’t know who she, or he, was— only their name: Rhea Bishop. Again, he still didn’t know who she was, and he didn’t really care that much.
No offense to Rhea, it’s just that he was planning on using this allotted time to make friends with this new kid instead of actually learning anything. Fingers crossed they didn’t turn out to be an uptight nerd or something, because then Carson would get stuck learning.
It’s not like he didn’t enjoy learning— okay, he didn’t enjoy learning, but he loved learning plays from Hufflepuff’s Playbook and following the matches from the British and Irish League of 2019. That was fun, that was useful! But did he really need to learn the etymology of a thousand different spells? No, he didn’t.
He sat at a random table in the library, leaning back in his chair as far as he could before he felt like he’d fall over. It was a game he and his best friend, Maggie Parker, had invented, but it wasn’t as interesting when there wasn’t someone to play it with.
