Ahn Hyeon-Min, otherwise called Minnie by close friends and family, was born in South Korea, but moved to Ireland due to his father's business endeavors. He's pureblood, but grew up in a family that was close with muggles, all of his friends being muggles as well. He originally had dark brown hair, which he dyed blonde to match his best friend, but now that he's attending school, he's chosen to allow it to grow out. His eyes are slightly mismatched in shape, one being a monolid, and the other being a double lid, though both are the same dark brown color.
He attended muggle school, and intends on taking summer courses in order to not only have a certificate of education in the wizarding world, but to also have one in the muggle world. His goal is to peacefully co-exist in both worlds without hassle.
He's always been very close with his family, and is a friendly person who isn't scared to stand up for what's right, even if it means confronting a friend. This mindset led to the manifestation of his magical abilities one day, when he got in an argument with an old friend. Books flew off of a nearby shelf at such high velocity that they could've broken a bone or two on impact.
His father worked for a muggle company, after spending years in muggle colleges learning about how their technology worked. This landed him a job offer in Ireland, and the family moved there. On Min's eleventh birthday, he learned about Hogwarts from a fellow wizarding family, and received his letter shortly afterwards. He loved the thought of learning at such a renown school, and the thought made him excited, though he dreaded leaving his family behind.
He traveled with the new wizarding family he had met, and explored Diagon Alley, curious about every object he saw. Everything was so different from how he grew up. From owls to broomsticks, he always thought of those things as parts of fairytales. Now, upon seeing them, he realized just how strange things will be adjusting from his muggle life to a wizard life.
When he arrived at Hogwarts, he was greatly amazed by the magical atmosphere. It was a bit of a culture shock to him, who grew up with muggles, in a muggle community. He was sorted into Ravenclaw, and he knew, this was only the beginning of his journey.
