History/Background Story:
Nikolas Collins grew up in the lovely city of Limerick, Ireland. As far as he knows, his family was never magical in any aspect, and he grew up living the normal muggle life. School, home, homework, friends, school bullies, video games, forced to eat veggies. All the normal things. Though his favorite hobby was always reading. He loved books, both fantasy and nonfiction, and as such he would demand to be read to until he learned to read for himself at the early age of three. His favorite book at age five was Matilda. He loved the fact that she seemed to have magic, and used her telekinesis to change her life.
Though when he was about seven, after the fourth time reading it, he would discover he, too had powers. The first happened when he was told to pick up his toys. He would scream in anger and cry. As he did, his toys levitated a couple inches off of the floor, much to his and his parents surprise. Though as he realized it, the toys would fall, and he would put them away for fear they were haunted. Little did he know that was his first display of magic.
Over the years, stranger things would happen. His vegetables would seem to magically disappear into the trash can when his mom wasn't looking and his dad was reading the paper. When he got angry a f, the floor would burn a little, or something would fall off a shelf. He even, when he was lazy, would somehow beckon his books come to him, and they would float to him, like how Matilda did it. It wasn't until he was eleven that he received his letter, along with a wizened wizard to explain things to his muggle parents.
This made everyone breathe a sigh of relief, and so Nikolas was able to finally get his things: His wand, his school necessities, and very soon, the training he will need to become quite a proper wizard indeed.

A new Adventure: Nikolas ventures forth to King's cross station, where he realizes he is a tad early. He eventually is able to board, and finds a seat, carrying his school books with him to read on the train over. He eventually buys snacks with the loads of galleons in exchanged currency he got from his dad, and decides he wants to use them as a tactic to hopefully make some friends.
The Ravenclaw Table: After being sorted, Nikolas joins his comrades at the table for the first of the year feast. He met a new witch in his house named Kaylyn-Ari Willow, who is determined to become the top of the class. He sees this as a fun challenge and so, after she jokingly says compete, he agrees.
The Recipe for Making Friends: Nikolas had finally made it into the Ravenclaw common room. In his quest to meet, and hopefully befriend his fellow Ravenclaws, Nikolas brings out the snacks he had bought on the train over. He then sits down and, after pulling all the candy out, invites anyone who wishes to to come join him in some friendly getting-to-know-you chatter and snacks. Here, he meets a boy named Janus Lumley, who decides to partake in snacks with him. the two chit-chat about who they are, a bit about their history, and what they hope to learn. After a bit of russian roulette with bertie botts, they decide it's enough chit chat for one night, and retire to their dorms and beds.
