According to wandlore, wands containing the hair of this beast are rather suitable for performing the Dark Arts. The Rougarou is a monstrous creature that features in Cajun folklore. It is a werewolf-like creature generally described as having the head of a dog and the body of a human.

Arthur seems reluctant to show how loyal he is, perhaps because he doesn’t see that in himself. Arthur has what seems a problem with the idea of getting close to people, however the people he is closest to mean the world to him and holds himself to never betray these people. You can sense his pride when he is able to freely talk to these people and he will always be by their side.
Though he holds his manners, is a very charming young boy in front of adults, it is very amusing to witness as people get to know him, he has a very dear cheeky side to him.

Rebellious, not in the idea of skipping homework or chatting back people, but when let’s say there is a moral problem, he’d be the first to conjure up a strike in protest of the unfairness. It was displayed through his accidental magic where he was out with his family. The adults started discussing discrimination with magical creatures since that never fades. His Grandmother was talking about a magical telescope she was going to have replaced for her friend (a half-giant, they still faced difficulty entering stores since they made doorframes shorter). Overwhelmed by this fact, in a rather rebellious spirit, Arthur spiked magic what seemed like An Engorgement Charm on a few door frames (rather like Kevin’s [if you know the history of underage magic, you’ll know Kevin]) making them swell up. The magic wasn’t amazing but it showed that he felt the need to protect others from other people – just like how he hides himself from people. (see secretive)

Gentle as one may discover, he is still human afterall, but Arthur does seem to give a bit more of light-heartiness when it comes to magical creatures or reading aloud to someone. It’s a choice if he displays it but it is fascinating when he does.

So, Arthur knows it well enough, so does his family and so had the close friends he had this way that Arthur just seems to be secretive. Arthur tried to trace where it began but with no success to find a solution either. His grandmother somehow seemed to understand more than he did. This secretive behaviour seemed to control him for most of his young childhood.

History:

Born in the main city of Bristol, Arthur’s mother had made it clear that he would be getting the share of both worlds- which meant a muggle life with a wizarding one. Thalassa, his mother, made sure that the small house they resided in would be everything for her son. His father wanted him to have the wizarding share, so began preparing to teach him all about magic as soon as he could. So suddenly as a few months old baby, Arthur lived in a house that was Full of old books everywhere, with a muggle television, a mobile of stars, with a magical rocking crib and so a feeling of magic wafted around the muggle styled life.

There was something odd though, that even at such a young age, Arthur seemed to have difficulty trusting people. It was clear by the time he was six. He would refuse to speak to someone if they did not introduce themselves first, even if his parents new them. If there were other children invited to his house, he would not play at all but watch encouraging the other children to come up with something magical. It was not just secretive to others but to himself as well, which left him slightly vulnerable when put into situations of sharing projects. The reason seems to be a mystery, but his parents seem to recognise there was a change of behaviour on Sept. 9, Tuesday that evening the most unusual was that if he was asked just a question he would curl up into a ball and hide. Just to make sure his father took him to a healer to make sure nothing was wrong and Arthur did not show to have abilities or something at all. He just from that day favoured the idea of keeping himself to himself.

Now, it is important is how his parent met. His father is a wizard, mother a muggle. They met in Portugal, his father on a trip for the ministry (worked in Department of Magical Equipment Control) and his mother on Holiday. His father knew how muggle equipment functioned as a Half-blood himself, they eventually swapped numbers (she was amused he owned a Motorola STARTAC). They loved to travel together to Portugal so often, it turned from a companionship to a romance. His father Dylan was reluctant since he still had not told Thalassa of his magical abilities, in fact he supresses the fact around her.
He reveals the fact that he was a wizard actually by proposal (a risky move as his mother would say). However, the shocks didn’t seem to have knocked Thalassa but made her much bubblier as her personality went. The reason that the way they met was because Arthur seemed to have the natural awareness of Portugal when finding a friend in Alfredo.

Arthur went to a muggle primary school, it was pretty small and wasn’t really keen on the unusualness that Arthur seemed to had, he often went to time out since I seemed to make some teachers nervous. He had a group of friends at his Primary school but his closest friend, Alfredo Britto, a Portuguese muggle student who was very happy and bubbly person. He met Alfredo at primary school when he was six during time out, Arthur was already secretive as explained above but Alfredo was very energetic so he managed to capture the joy that Arthur hides Alfredo was opposite to Arthur, louder, always running around and prefers the day to the night. Yes, they were complete opposites, but they worked well, and their friendship grew into something that helps Arthur to be more open to the world. He eventually found out about Arthur being a wizard when he was complaining about not having enough sweets but handing one to Arthur it multiplied into two. He found the whole idea hilarious, and teased Arthur about having to find a familiar and speak in a very husky tone. If there was anyone that he would trust, Alfredo would be at the top of the list.
As years went by: at seven his first case of accidental magic, at eight secretly practised flying with his grandmother, at nine received the most amounts of time outs in his entire primary school and at ten committed to the idea that he couldn’t trust people since they only want to know him and not understand him.
Arthur received his letter by owl and his family were so delighted, although the feeling of excitment did scare him a little- he was happy. His grandmother brought him a pair of gloves to congratulate him.
