Personality

Maren isn't particularly outgoing or talkative as she heads into her first year at Hogwarts and generally keeps to herself both in and out of class. Most often, with her journal and quill in hand, she can be found outside under a tree or in a comfortable chair in the corner of the library, preferably near a window. Although she used to have friends in her hometown, moving to a new country and still dealing with the death of her mother has brought it's challenges in friend-making.

She keeps her enchanted journal with her at all times, jotting down notes for class or ideas for her stories. In the front pages of the journal, it keeps a log of all the things she's written down. She can simply tap on a note and it'll flip to a blank page for the note to reveal itself. If she no longer needs a note, she can wipe the page clean and it will also remove it from the log. The journal was a gift from her mother before she passed. Her passion for storytelling was always supported wholeheartedly by her parents and she yearns do something special with it so they can be proud of her accomplishments.

A serial daydreamer, Maren is often chided for losing focus in class and combined with her forgetfulness, lead to her having to work extra hard outside of class to make up for it.

She tends to go with things on a whim and see where they take her rather than painstakingly plan things out. This mostly concerns her stories but relates to her life in and out of school as well. Trips with her family were one big guessing game of where they'd go to next and it was the same with her friends. She was happy to be doing whatever anyone else wanted to do and was also happy if there was nothing to do and she could spend some alone time by herself.
