The only son of well-off pure-blood parents that worked in the field of exotic animals, Cyrus often experienced the pampering and adoration that came with being the only child. More than that, his self-worth was reinforced by their consistent praise for all of his actions, no matter how minor or easy they truly were. Throughout his youth, Cyrus was homeschooled by his mother and father in a matter of different disciplines to prepare him for his inevitable future at Hogwarts. He did not need to display any magical talent yet, he was from a pureblood family, and as such he was entitled to life there, just like his parents before him.

At the ripe age of 8, Cyrus displayed his ability to scratch the well of magic during a family reunion. The constant dribble and chatter had gnawed at his brain like a searing migraine. Constant. Unrelenting. When he focused on the pain, eyes closed and brow furrowed, he felt a relaxation of the tension within and a sudden jolt from his body. Consequently, gasps from the audience, and a singular cry. After that day, Cyrus' parents dished more praise upon him, albeit the extended family started to avoid him. No matter.

Due to his upbringing around exotic animals of both magical and non-magical variety, Cyrus developed an interest in creatures of all shapes and sizes; the more dangerous they were, the more his curiosity was piqued. His parents often had Cyrus wander around one of their many zoos situated in both the Muggle and Magical world. As such, animals warm the boy's heart although he came to understand the law of nature early on, and will not impede feeding patterns. His parents, for all intents and purposes, shower him in love and affection, which has perhaps shown to have damaging side-effects later on in his life due to not having to own up to any failures or mistakes; not that there were any, the boy would reassure you.

Despite his parent's occupation, they are not insistent on him continuing the family business as they understand his talents lie elsewhere. For a long while, having read literature and news articles about Aurors, Cyrus felt a kinship with them. Authority. Professionalism. Intrigue. All of these were qualities he deserved to hold in a job. Oftentimes he would practice with his father's wand when he managed to sneak it out from his drawer, pointing it at the mirror with a firm wrist and unshakeable glare.

The boy himself has developed a sense of deep pride over his heritage, and perhaps a disregard for others because of theirs if they fail to meet the criteria.

Daring and bold, Cyrus initially does not stray from the traits expected for a Gryffindor. Once some layers are peeled, however, the boldness of Cyrus can easily malform into outright arrogance. He carries a deep sense of pride within himself which denies him the possibility of accepting the blame in any circumstance, going so far as to blame others if an action performed by him does not go quite as planned. In some situations, this can be toned down to him merely playing the part that is expected of him, but inside he'll be plotting his revenge on those that dared make him look bad. In some cases, Cyrus can be described as manipulative, albeit perhaps not intentionally. When Cyrus becomes invested in something, he will pursue it to its fullest extent regardless of the effects on others so long as it fulfils his wishes. While he can oftentimes come off as antagonistic or challenging, there is a sense of altruism hidden somewhere within him which compels him to help others depending on the severity of the situation. While some would call Cyrus an elitist due to his pure-blood status and preference to be around others like him, he is not entirely opposed to half-bloods that are capable of proving themselves in some fashion.


Standing at 5 feet and no inches, Cyrus has certainly been drinking his milk and eating his vitamins. He often keeps his feathery brown hair well-groomed, as well as paying attention to the clothing he wears. His hair is more often than not at a medium length, but sometimes it can be seen shorter if he has recently had a haircut in order to maintain appearance. Above average for his height, Cyrus often times has to look down on others not only from the perspective of their personality but quite literally too. His eyes, a dark shade of brown reminiscent of acorns, often appear to burn through what he focuses his gaze on as if he is looking through them. Cyrus, a victim of trends, will often be seen wearing either new clothes, or at least have his clothing styled in a way he deems fashionable enough to not appear badly, or even worse, poor.
