A little letter
It had well been a few days since Swan had arrived at Hogwarts. She had always wondered what her mom was now doing, alone in the house. What if she fell to some tragedy? What if she was overworked and couldn't prepare her own daily needs? The first year had(or at least she wanted to) know. So she decided to write a letter.
Sighing as she finished, Swan gave the letter to one of the delivery owls. After it flew far away, she then returned back to her dorm, wondering if she would ever hear from her mom again.

Dear Mother,
I've been in Hogwarts for a few days, and it's great. My housemates are rather nice. I checked out the study room, library, and maybe the abandoned toilets, too? Curiosity really kills the cat. I hope you are okay, and please write back soon.
