HISTORY
She was born during a winter's storm; which was probably one of the more memorable moments for her family. The day had started out as usual;her father had gotten up make breakfast as he normally would have done and had coffee brewing when his wife came stumbling down the stairs, panic burning in her eyes.
And outside a storm was brewing. The trip to the hospital was chaotic; swerving cars and near misses dotted his memory of the time but the moment they got there and had her checked in, Amelia was born, bright-eyed and screaming.
At least, that's what her parents told her. They had a habit of teasing her over her wild nature, which didn't bother her at all. She knew she was a bit of an eccentric person, knew that other people didn't tend to vibe with her at all, but she didn't care. All throughout her childhood she spent her time outdoors, befriending the neighborhood animals and exploring the church cemeteries. She couldn't tell you how many times she would come home with a deer following her or a cat sleeping in her arms. Her parents didn't mind it most nights, but sometimes she would find herself bringing unwanted "vermin" in the house.
Because of her connection with animals and her lack of control over her emotions, Amelia didn't quite get along well with the kids in her neighborhood, not that she minded. Of course she got lonely every now and then with no one to talk to but her parents but she always picked up a book before she got too carried away with her thoughts. It was a healthy way to cope, she figured. And so she rose to the top of her class through her midnight studies.
The first time she truly realized she was different from everyone else though, was when she and her mother were sharing an argument over a dog she had brought into the house. It was sick, Amelia knew, sick enough that she wouldn't be able to help it even if she wanted to. She tried explaining that to her mother but she wouldn't listen.
At least, she wouldn't until the light bulbs burst one by one. All thoughts of the dog had been lost as the two girls stared up at the busted light bulbs dangling from the ceiling. The next few years were a work of trial and error, with Amelia trying to gain better control of her emotions and her parents trying to help her despite being muggles. So when her letter for Hogwarts came, the family was more than ecstatic to let her go and hone her abilities.
Personality
Amelia is known to be the cause of trouble, whether she means to be or not. She's a bubbly girl, with a thirst for knowledge and a heart big enough to protect all she can. She lives for the outdoors or moments spent with her family and always does her best to support those in need.
