@Fumiko Tachibana
Was this weird? This was weird, wasn't it?

Mac was standing outside of the cabins. It was around noon, so there were a few other students out and about. In his hand was a clear bag, filled with sugar cookies covered in colorful icing that had begun to melt in the summer heat. It was tied with a pretty blue ribbon; Mac's own handiwork.

Fumiko seemed to like his casserole, so hopefully she would like his cookies, too. They were more or less a peace offering, seeing as the last time he saw her, he'd caused dirt to be thrown up in her face. Sure, Mac hadn't actually been the one to kick the dirt in her face, but Dennis was running to see him, so didn't that make Mac guilty by association? Either way, he felt bad and well... he felt like he and Fumiko had gotten off on the wrong foot. He wanted to be her friend, after all.

The best way to get someone to like you was through their stomach, hence the bag of cookies. That's why parties involving food were always so much better.

After asking around, Mac was pointed in Fumiko's direction. She was down by the lake, so Mac trekked down the hill to meet her. He approached her carefully, holding the bag tight as he tapped on her shoulder. "Um, excuse me," he started, clearing his throat. His voice had an almost nervous lilt to it as he spoke. "I made cookies - or biscuits, whatever you want to call them - so I thought you might..." he paused, pursing his lips and furrowing his brow as he looked down at the bag of sweets in his hand. "... I mean... you liked the casserole, so I thought, maybe..." Finally, he simply trailed off, shaking his head.

"Listen, I'm sorry my friend kicked dirt in your face," he said, genuinely apologetic as he held the bag out for her to take. "I hope you like them."

It wasn't unusual to see the typical Hufflepuff Fumiko Tachibana talking casually to a group of people, but it wasn't usually either to see her casually doing simple things, like reading a book by herself with an aura around her that says :

'You'll feel bad if you disturb me '

It was like she wasn't thought about enough in the minds of others that people just rather avoid her if she shows even a hint of wanting to do things alone but is comfortable enough with her if the time comes for people to associate with her.

Someone boring to hang out with, with forgettable conversations but enough lovely to be around with.

And she loved it that way. She was the one that planned all those boringly predictable responses and questions so they could think about her this way. Hiding her real thoughts behind an angel-like smile.

Main goal? No one would bother to get closer to her. She hid her mixed feelings well as she stabbed the mix of sandy and grassy grounds of the Great Lake with a thick branch that she suggested could be a dead wand.

Currently, she was drawing a picture of 2 horridly drawn stick figures that looked like typical parents. With frowns like they were sad to be drawn tied up from above, with their feet dangling above a suspiciously dangerous looking cauldron which ironically is better drawn than the stick figure parents.

For a drawing on dirt surfaces.

If anyone looked at her right now they might've questioned her mentality, obviously creeped out by how blank she looked while she drew this. It wasn't her fault! She just felt like... she hasn't thought about her parents as much as she did before so she's testing herself.

Testing herself to see if she could draw a crappy drawing of her parents over a boiling cauldron without hesitating.

To be honest, she's astonished how she seemed so calm despite drawing this. No irrational hate, no childish tantrums, just serene calm as if she accepted the fact that they left.

She stopped adding small details to the cauldron. Should she....worry about this?
"Um, excuse me,"

" Goodness," she replied calmly, perfectly hiding her panic and contradicting her tone by dropping the dead wand and kicked her drawing as quick as she could before turning around with her usual innocent smile. " Murphy~ Nice to see you again..." she wasn't really, but greeted him kindly as she turned towards him, acting as nothing happened.

She hasn't seen Murphy since the Lake Party. To Fumiko, the people she met at the party would just be people she smiled and waved too if they ever come across each other. Having one of them suddenly come up to her with a full sentence just made her inner introvert tingle with uneasiness.

" A- ah ..mmmn..." she mumbled out, eyeing the clear bag of cookies handed out to her, completely speechless at what just happened. Fumiko Tachibana seldom genuinely mumbled. This was the first time she got cookies from someone. How did the people in the movies react when they're gifted with cookies.

She remembered a teen romance movie where a girl squealed and replied positively to her crushe's proclaim of love when she got cookies from him, so she quickly brushed that off. No way in hell was she doing that, even for acting.

Deciding she couldn't get out of the situation, she hesitantly received the bag of cookies with both her hands, inspecting it even further in case this was all a joke. " Kicked dirt in my...OH ~" she remembered now.

A boy named Dennis that ran and stopped too abruptly that dirt flew to Fumiko and almost got in her mouth. Yes, she was annoyed but never really cared if Dennis ever apologized to her over that, much less Murphy who has been nothing but sweet at the Party.

" I mean...to be honest I almost forgot that happened.." the cookies looked quite good, she felt guilty wanting to eat them right now " W-why do you feel like you needed to apologize? You've been nothing but kind since we met and I don't think...getting dirt in my mouth would make me worthy of your cookies, which I'm sure will taste as good as your casserole ".

She wasn't acting, she was genuinely confused about what tempted the boy to bake her hand made cookies and confident in the cookies good taste. Not that she was complaining, more like she felt like she didn't deserve it.

" Plus, it was an accident. What your friend did," she added, her lack of grudge shown on the small smile she had on her face. She wasn't showing it but Murphy was making the girl a tad uncomfortable with his overwhelming kindness.

Who would bake cookies just to apologize over something they never did? To a mere acquaintance, no less!
