Maggie leaned back in her chair, her worn red converse braces against the dainty table as she played a dangerous game of how-far-can-I-tip-this-chair-before-it-falls-over in the magical ice cream shop she and her friends had chosen to meet up at. Maggie had met the group over their first year at Hogwarts, and the eight had immediately clicked. They were all different, too, in a way. Maggie had eagerly taken on the role of “class clown” in the group, and she was proud of the fact that she’d done so. She’d known a few people prior to the group getting together, and they had combined with another group to form a collection of friends that were all different, yet still managed to be friends. Tatiana was the “group mom”, who was caring and kind, always looking out for everyone and being the voice of reason. Carson was the “jock”, a title Maggie never failed to make fun of. He was a complete sports fanatic, though, so it was fitting to say the least. Millie was the organizer of the group, she always planned get-togethers and things like that. Before Maggie had met the girl, she was doubtful, but Millie had proven to be an amazing asset to the group, she kept them together by organizing hangouts. Min was the “shy kid”, and, while that was true at first glance, you began to realize that she was much more than that when you got to know her. Sylvie was kind of the “daydreamer”, which fit her Slytherin house. She was always thinking up new ideas for the group and things to do, though she could be quiet at times, it balanced out Carson and Maggie’s loud banter. Sophia was the “edgelord”, as Maggie had dubbed her, and she got along with her well, even though they didn’t necessarily share the same sense of humor. Alex was the creative one, and, much like Sylvie, he was extremely creative and open-minded, which fit his house, Ravenclaw. Finally, Astra. It took the group awhile to figure out what role she took, and they still haven’t really decided. Maggie thought about this as she continued to lean back in her chair, only to be interrupted by a familiar voice. “Hey Maggie!”

Min-seo was excited. Today would be the first day of her group of friends to meet up and hang out. Her hair was in a plait braid with her red ribbons intertwined in it, and she was wearing a white t-shirt with Jean shorts and her black converse she always wore. She was really happy that everyone decided to meet up here, for she knew that it was going to be fun. On her back was a small black backpack that carried literally everything. A first aid kit (came in handy more than a few times), snacks, her polaroid, Her phone (though it didn't work in the Wizarding World, but it's fine,) earbuds, her wand (Well that was obviously necessary,) just a bunch of stuff. She tapped the brick wall to enter into Diagon Alley. The shops were vibrant in the summer, old witches buying flowers from stands, first years purchasing their books and such, more kids hovering around the latest broomstick, and lovely shopkeepers in stress from all the business. She was making her way over to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour. She saw that Maggie was the only one there so far. "Hey Maggie!" she said, waving at her and sitting down.

"Okay, you can do it V!" Crystal said as Sylvie approached the fireplace in the living room. Her dad was also there, but he was mostly just working on his computer. This was her first time using floo powder. As she threw it onto the fireplace the orange flames turned emerald green. She could still feel the heat of the flames. "Deep breathes Sylvie, deep breathes..." She thought to breathe in, then out again. She stepped into the fire, the green flames dancing around her body. She turned to face Crystal, giving her a reassuring nod, and saying, "Diagon Alley!"

In seconds, sure enough, she was in Diagon Alley. Sylvie beamed as she joined the crowd of witched and wizards. She was meeting her friends at the ice cream shop, which she had been to earlier in the summer. She went over too Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour, still smiling, loving every second she was in this magical place. She was wearing a black t-shirt that was a bit cropped, jean shorts that were ripped in some places, and black converse. She also had a red flannel shirt tied around her waist.

She arrived at the parlor and already saw two familiar faces through the window. She opened the door excitedly. Maggie and Min-Seo were the two who had already arrived. "Hey guys!" Sylvie said, smiling happily. She took her messenger bag off her shoulder and placed it on her lap as she sat down in one of the vacant chairs.

Tatiana twirled her headphone cord around her finger as she walked through the bustling streets of Diagon Alley. She wore a plain white tee with a pocket on the front, tucked into a pair of belted loose grey pants and sandals, her hair falling loose over her shoulders. Schools were out for the summer, the weather was beautiful, and families were out shopping in full force this weekday. She hadn't returned to the street of stores since she'd shopped for her schools supplies that first summer, and she looked around in wonder, having forgotten just how magical the area was. She'd hardly experienced anything like it before she came to Hogwarts and stopped to stare at every store front, gazing in wonder at each of the magnificent objects she passed. Cauldrons, potions, snow white owls, brooms, and baubles of all kinds and sorts.

But she wasn't there for shopping today, she was going to the ice cream parlour to meet up with her friend group. Admittedly, she knew some of them better than others, but they'd somehow all managed to find each other their first year at school and meshed together into a large group full of personalities of all kinds. Turning into Florean's she was pleased to see some of the more familiar faces had arrived first. Already sitting at a table was Maggie, Min and Sylvie. Taking her earbuds out her ears as she approached, she waved to the group of girls. "Hi everyone!" she smiled, taking a seat at the table.

Alex sighed as he hoisted his bag higher on his shoulders. Him and his brother were standing in front of their fireplace. Their uncle stood behind them with a smile. ”See you later boys,” their uncle said with a smile, his posture as professional as always. Alex sent him a cheeky grin as his brother stepped into the fire first. ”Diagon Alley!” his brother yelled as he disappeared into the flames. Alex stepped in next. ”Diagon Alley!” he yelled as well. He saw his uncle fade into the green flames as he disappeared from sight. He never liked the sensation of traveling with floo powder. It felt weird. He saw the shops materialize, along with his brother, Julian. Julian smiled at him. ”You know where to go?” he asked. Alex nodded. He was meeting up with his friends today. He smiled. ”Yep.he said. Good. See you at 5:00 or earlier. Say hi to Min-seo for me,” he said. The boys had known Min-Sri since they were really young. He nodded. ”I will!” he started to walk in the opposite direction from his brother to the ice cream parlor. He was wearing ripped blue jeans, combat boots, and a simple black shirt. He saw four girls materialize in the distance. He took a deep breath. ”Hi,” he said to them and sat in one of the vacant chairs.

Carson hummed as he walked down Diagon Alley, glancing at the brooms in the shop window as he passed by them with envy. He was meeting up with his group of friends today, though, so he couldn’t show up late just because he wanted to look at some brooms. He walked up to the Ice Cream Parlor, quickly spotting the group of friends he’d been planning to meet up with. Maggie, Min, Sylvie, and Alex were already there, it seemed like everyone had pretty much gotten there at around the same time. He grinned at the group as he sat, “Hey guys, what’s up?” he asked, as a casual way of greeting. Sure, he knew everyone there, and he’d even consider them all to be friends, but he knew some better than others, which is why he sat close to Maggie, Tatiana, and Min. Though Alex and Sylvie were nice, and he wanted to get to know them better, really, he just didn’t know them as well as he did his other friends. Maybe today would change that, who knows? “So, looks like we’re waiting for Millie, Sophia, and Astra right now, huh?” he said, quickly glancing to Diagon Alley to see if any one of them were walking up...

Millie bid her mother goodbye as she walked around Diagon Alley. The duo had been looking for books for Millie's second year at Hogwarts, which she was so excited for. However, she was also excited for something- someone else. Her and a big group of friends had decided to meet up during Summer, and her parents finally halted their trip for Millie to go see them.

Walking around the plaza, Millie got a big look at the entirety of Diagon Alley. Not that she hadn't seen it before- she had seen it twenty times- she just wanted a good look of it. However, she couldn't help but notice the group of her friends all gathered around the Ice Cream Parlour. Skipping up, Millie waved and gave a cheery smile.

"Hey guys!" She called, nearing the group. Today, her outfit was a white shirt tucked into a pair of her white jean shorts. She collapsed in a chair and pulled off her shoulder bag. Looking around at the group of people she was with, Millie thought about how weird it had been they all met.

Her and Min had been enemies, and ended up becoming friends- which was the weirdest thing to Millie. She didn't know how, but her ability to be terrified at the world, did the better for her. Which, might've been the only time.

"Sorry I took so long, I was looking at the shops with my mom."

She looked around the table, and smiled happily. Sylvie loved being a part of things, like friend meet ups. If she was being honest with herself, she hated being left out more the she loved being a part of things.

After Sylvie arrived, so did Tatiana, Alex, and Carson.
“So, looks like we’re waiting for Millie, Sophia, and Astra right now, huh?”
As Carson said this, Millie walked in. “Okay, now we’re just waiting on Sophia and Astra.” She said, looking out the window to see one or both of those two were approaching.

So far that summer Sylvie hadn’t done that much. She went home to her sister after a long school year, and briefly saw her father before he went on another one of his business trips. Poor Crystal had spent so much time by herself. Sylvie felt a bit guilty for leaving her alone for so long. Well, at least Crystal had made even more friends while  she was away at Hogwarts! She had basically left the friend group Sylvie used to be a part of, and had joined the main girl friend group in her grade.
“How has your guys’s summer been? Most of you guys went to the camp at Hogwarts right? I might go next summer.”

Astra's outfit

Astra was walking with her brother down Diagon Alley. She told him that she could go alone but her brother insisted saying he couldn't believe that his little sister is all grown up. Though she thought he was just nostalgic about Hogwarts and he wanted to take a quick glimpse of the place. As they were laughing and having a great time, Astra totally forgot that her new group of friends are waiting for her. She was late... as always.
She quickly said her goodbyes to her brother and started running to the Ice Cream Parlour. She couldn't believe it, she somehow made friends and now, that she gets to meet with them.. She just forgets..
She pushes the heavy door as she enters the Ice Cream Parlour. She sees her friends and quickly walks to their table.
"Sorry I'm late" She says as she sits down. "I just lost track of time". She looks around to see everyone except Sophia. She didn't know any of them that well, but she was eager to do so.
She took a look around her. The place was actually beautiful. It was her first time going to Florean Forescue's Ice Cream Parlour and she loved it.

“How has your guys’s summer been? Most of you guys went to the camp at Hogwarts right? I might go next summer.” Sylvie asked, smiling at them all. The blonde girl wore a black almost crop-top, with jean shorts, a flannel, and black low-top converse. “It’s been great, actually— Carson, Tatiana, Min, and a few friends of ours played a great game of manhunt.” she grinned at them, remembering that night. “Nice outfit, by the way.” she added, shorting a grin at Sylvie.
“Sorry I’m late,” Astra said, “I just lost track of time.”. Astra wore high-waisted jeans, and she had a vintage t-shirt tucked into them with a black belt around her waist. Maggie was baffled at how the girl wasn’t burning up in the hot weather, but nonetheless Maggie grinned at the girl, shrugging, and said, “It’s all good— so, now that almost everyone’s here, I have a very important question for all of you— how would you feel about me throwing a like, huge party? You guys would all be invited, if course, but what should the theme be? It’s gonna be during the Summer, so keep that in mind— but I kinda need your opinions.” Maggie grinned at her friends, truly embracing her role as “Party Animal” in this moment in time. She’d thrown two parties so far, and both were a huge success. Both were thrown before she’d met everyone, however, so she hadn’t got to actually go to a party with them.

“I could do, like, a sleepover thing, or a swim party, but I need ideas, people! And you’re all invited, of course.” she grinned at them giddily, drumming her fingers on the table. “Oh, and does anyone know how to do hair, like braiding? My brother’s girlfriend did my braid this morning— she’s amazing at it, but yeah, it ended up falling out.” Maggie vaguely gestured to her now wavy hair, looking to her friends hopefully.
