Background
Her family lives in Haslemere, England. They live near a Garden Centre and visit it often due to Helene Dauhlberg's love for gardening that she also instilled in her children. They often tend to a fruit and vegetable garden beside their small house; though, Nott prefers more hardy plants such as trees and perennials. She often escapes to play in the fringe of the woods.
Both children went to primary school. Reyn goes to secondary school and Nott will be attending Hogwarts.
At the age of eight, Nott received a nice bicycle for her birthday and learned how to ride it from her sister. She was proud of herself and would ride it around the town and to the woods to play. On one occasion, she went down a hill which was too steep for her as she lost control. Both the bike and Nott tumbled down, but when they stopped, she was not injured and the bike had no scrapes. She believed herself to be lucky. This was the first occurrence of her magic.

The name Dauhlberg comes from her father.
Mrs. Helene is English and so gave her children middle names: Helena to Nott after herself, and Amalia after Aron's mother.
