Summer. Finally. Not that Min-seo didn’t like school, it was just quite tiring. She did have summer homework to complete, but that could wait. She heard her Godfather playing the violin downstairs. She sighed and looked out of her window in the apartment. The apartment was actually disguised, and the inside was a huge mansion. She was dressed in jean shorts and a red shirt with black converse. Her dark brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail. She sighed and looked out the window on her street. She actually barely knew anyone in the neighborhood, except for the old lady that was hard of hearing and gave them chocolate chip cookies. She was quite kind. Her street was full of beautiful oak trees. Her balcony had flowers on the outside that she had planted when she was bored. She checked the time. 2:36 pm. Today was one of the hotter days of the summer. The violin music was still softly playing in the background. Min-seo was bored. Really bored. She could ask her brother to play with her, but he was starting on his summer homework for he had a lot more then Min did. She was just about to go back into her room when she heard someone yell hey to her.

Maggie was bored, yet again. After coming back from Hogwarts, she’d realized that everything she used to find absolutely crazy in the Muggle world was nothing to the fact that she went to a magic boarding school for wizards in Scotland. Yeah, she sounded crazy just thinking about it. She’d finished her shift at the snowcone shack, and had immediately ran to her babysitting job in East London, which was about thirty minutes away from where she lived in South London. She was in the nicer part of town, much nicer, actually, and she could not only tell from the nice sidewalks and apartment buildings, but she also heard the faint song of a violin, and Maggie usually associated those with roch people. She turned her head to the source of the music, and she was more than surprised to see a familiar face in the window where the music was coming from. It was Min-Seo, a girl Maggie had met once or twice at Hogwarts. They were but mere acquaintances, but Maggie, still feeling incredibly bored, felt the urge to call out to her. “Hey!”

Don't worry about it, it's not your fault!

Min-seo sighed and played with a strand of her hair. It didn't help that she was extremely bored. Min-seo thought about the conversation she had earlier with her godfather.

"I'm leaving for France in two days time for work for about a month."

She sighed. He always left on business trips for a long time. Well, he was quite rich, her whole family was, really, really rich. That meant her and Ji-woo had the whole house to themselves for a month. She bit her bottom lip and laid on her hand with her elbow resting on the railing of the deck. The violin kept playing. She looked out on the quaint town, a couple with a small toddler, carrying a red balloon, and old lady, walking her dog, and a gi- wait a second. It was Maggie.

"Hey!"

Min-seo smiled and waved. "What's up?" she asked in her soft voice. Maggie was one of the people who went to school with her. She didn't know that they lived in the same neighborhood. Maybe there were more people from school that lived here. She knew Isaiah lived here and now Maggie, but that's it.

Maggie laughed as she responded to Min-Seo, “I think I’m having the most boring day of my life.” she joked, shielding her eyes as she looked up to the window to talk to Min-seo. “Do you want to hang out today?” she asked, hoping th answer was a yes. She like Min-Seo, she was extremely kind, and, though she seemed shy at first, she was really funny when you got to know her. Maggie was already brainstorming what they could do for the day while she was waiting for Min-Seo to answer. Maggie usually walked around London with her friends when she was out, and hopefully Min-Seo was down to do the same thing. Though, she remembered that she had to be back to her house by five, as she was making dinner for her younger siblings that night. The responsibility was switched off from day to day between Maggie and her older brother, Cooper. Cooper, however, was a horrible cook, and she’d agreed to cook dinner every night of Cooper would help her out with her other chores around her house. Maggie would’ve been doing them now, actually, but she’d been working since the morning and her mother was kind enough to let her have a break.

Min-seo laughed then whined. "Same though! I have absolutely nothing to do," she said, laying across the railing of the balcony. She smiled when Maggie asked her to hang out with her. She smiled and nodded. "Hold on just a second!" she said, going inside her house to grab her black backpack. She ran down the stairs and screamed to her godfather, "I'm going out with a friend I'l be back by 5:30!" he stopped playing his violin to give her a wave and a thumbs up. Min-seo then ran out the front door and met with Maggie. "Sorry if that took too long." she said sheepishly. She tried to go quick. "So, what do you want to do? Have any ideas?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. She was excited. She hadn't hung out with a friend in a while, none the less a friend that was a girl, so she was happy. Hopefully she didn't become a burden to Maggie. The last time she'd hung out with a friend was when she went to Korea two years ago to visit her best friend. They still kept in touch, and her friend was coming to London for winter break, so she was excited for that.

“So, do you have any ideas?” Min-seo asked, tilting her head and causing her ponytail to swing behind her. “Well,” Maggie said, thinking of all the times she and her Muggle friends had explored London together, looking through shops and being fully aware that all of them were too broke to buy anything, climbing up onto the rooftops of shops and people-watching as they sipped on some 50-cent slushies. Judging by the neighborhood Min-seo lived in, she probably had never done any of those things— and Maggie was eager to introduce her to the world of latchkey kids with a budget. “have you ever been to Central London?” she asked, a smile blossoming on her face as she asked the girl. “I babysit for the guy who owns a slushie shop there, and we can grab a few free slushies.” she grinned, picturing the half store-half gas station owned by the sleazy man she knew as “chief”, which, obviously, wasn’t his real name, but everybody called him that. She glanced at her longboard, which she’d been using to get around, and asked Min-seo, “Do have a bike or something? I can always walk and carry this, but if you have a scooter or something like that I can keep up.”

Min-seo looked at Maggie with curiosity. You could say she was innocent when it came to hanging out in this town. This was a rich kid area, which meant that they usually had to stay inside, or they were with their rich friends buying Gucci or Prada or something like that. Min wasn't like that. Sure, she could afford those things because of how rich her family was, but that wasn't a thing she needed to do. She usually would stay inside. Maggie asked if she had ever been to central London. Min-seo shook her head. "You could say I don't get out that often, and I've never had a slushie, so I'm excited to try one." she said with a smile that radiated innocence.

“Do have a bike or something? I can always walk and carry this, but if you have a scooter or something like that I can keep up.”

Min-seo nodded. She went into the back of her house and grabbed her bike. (see picture below)
"Is this alright?" She asked softly. The white cruiser bike had been used pretty often when she was let out of the house, and she would just bike around town with it.
