Girls' Day Out

"sometimes you gotta take a break from all the noise to appreciate the beauty of silence." - robert tew.
Rhea was exhausted - after a long week of studying for her upcoming tests, she decided to take a break. She simply didn't have the will nor brain capacity to fit any more information into her brain. So, she made plans with her dorm mates, Sabrina and Reine, to have what Muggles called a "Girls' Night Out." They planned to meet at the Leaky Cauldron, and Rhea had gotten there first. As she was not required to wear a uniform, she settled for something warm enough for the England weather - a coat, jeans, a light sweater, and her new shoes that she'd gotten. She grabbed a hat just in case the weather took a turn for the worse.
Once there, she managed to find three seats in the corner of the room. She sat down and took out her notebook along with a quill (that she'd enchanted to permanently have ink on it) from the purse she'd brought with her. The redhead opened up her book to the last page she was working on. To anyone who couldn't read sheet music, what the redhead had written on her page would look very confusing. But to anyone who could, they would see that the young girl was in the midst of composing a piece. It was still just the beginning, so it was very rough.
A waitress came up to Rhea and asked if she wanted to drink anything. Rhea decided that there was no reason for her not to order anything while she waited for her friends to finish their business and arrive, so she ordered Butterbeer. The waitress nodded and left to place the redhead's order.
Every time the door jingled and opened, Rhea would look up to see if it was Reine, Sabrina, or both. Eventually, when the door opened for what seemed to be the millionth time, Rhea saw the faces of her friend(s) and she stood up, waving to get her dorm mates' attention.
the trouble is, if you don't risk anything -- you risk more.

Girls' Day Out
Reine scowled as she made her way towards the Leaky Cauldron. She'd had a great deal of trouble this morning trying to get ready for her day with Sabrina and Rhea. It took impossibly long to find an outfit to wear after Puppet had switched all their clothes around, and being the perfectionist she was, Reine had changed her outfit completely multiple times.
Now she was wearing a black, long-sleeved turtle neck, a brightly colored infinity scarf, some dark skinny jeans, a pair of sneakers she'd found in the bottom of her trunk, and a light blue beret. Reine had straightened her hair earlier that morning, but the weather outside had caused it to curl a little again, much to her annoyance. On top of all that, she didn't particularly like the cold.
Reine opened the door to the pub, glad for the warm air that rushed to greet her from inside. She quickly scanned the room for Rhea, knowing she'd most likely be the first person here. She spotted Rhea over by an empty booth, waving to get her attention. Smiling, Reine hurried over to the booth, hugging Rhea.
"Ooo, we're going to have so much fun today! I'm so excited!" She gushed, releasing Rhea and taking a seat across from redhead's set up of a Butterbeer, notebook and quill.

Girls' Day Out
In all honesty, Sabrina never even tried to be later than the other two girls. You would think that they would arrive together, considering they shared a dormitory, but Sabrina personally had to take care of a few things before heading to the Leaky Cauldron to meet with Reine and Rhea. She was only the tiniest bit glad that their other dorm mate hadn't come with them. She came off to Sabrina as a downer, and she honestly wanted to have fun that day. She had been caught up in her own feelings a lot recently, and hanging out with the other two Gryffindors should most definitely soothe that.
The outfit of choice that Sabrina had in mind for the day was typical Sabrina fashion. She had a pair of skinny jeans on to help fight off the cold, with a pair of black leggings underneath for extra comfort. She hated the feeling of denim against her skin for some odd reason. She had on a plain white tee underneath her favourite sweater, which represented her favourite Quidditch team, the Chudley Cannons. She had gotten it for her tenth birthday, and constantly wore it whenever she could. Her curly bright red hair was tied up into a bun, which sat near the back of her head. It was a simple look, as Sabrina was a simple gal.
She pushed open the door to the Leaky Cauldron, and wandered inside. It was slightly crowded, as it was a weekend, but it was still easy to spot the girls at a table. A grin found its way onto Sabrina's freshly-glossed lips, and she waved, making her way over. It was an odd thing for Sabrina to wear lip gloss, but she had been trying to do so recently. This was probably the second time she has worn it since she came to Hogwarts, and it was March. Quite the surprise, considering she's had the lip gloss with her the entire journey. She even got an owl from her mother regarding it, considering she had stolen it off of her makeup shelf. No way to give it back now, though.
"Hello Rhea," Sabrina chirped as she approached the table, then looked at Reine, "Hi Reine," She took the simple coat she was wearing over top of her sweatshirt to keep warm off, and placed it on the back of the last empty chair before sitting down in the same chair. "How are you girls today?" She inquired, pulling her sweater's sleeves over her hands before leaning her arms on the table, and leaning forward along with them.

Rhea smiled as she saw Reine enter first. The redhead looked around to see if Sabrina was there yet, but she couldn't find her. She shrugged and closed her notebook, tucking it away into her purse as Reine approached her booth and hugged her. Rhea chuckled and squeezed Reine back. Reine finally let go and sat down.
"Ooo, we're going to have so much fun today! I'm so excited!" Reine exclaimed as she sat down.
Rhea nodded enthusiastically in agreement and they made some small conversation before they spotted their fellow dorm mate enter the restaurant and make their way to the booth. Sabrina greeted both girl individually, and as she spoke Rhea noticed her lips sparkle.
"How are you girls today?" Sabrina asked with a warm smile, leaning forwards.
"I'm doing pretty well," Rhea answered. "Taking a break from all the work we have to feels oh so nice. Also, Sabrina, is that lip gloss on your lips? I've never seen you with lipgloss on."
Rhea leaned closer to Sabrina in order to examine the shade. "Hm, it's a pretty color. I'll have to borrow it sometime," Rhea mused in a joking tone.
The waitress from before came over again, presumably to ask if any of the new arrivals wanted a drink. Rhea looked at the two other girls and shrugged, indicating that she already had her drink.

Reine looked up as the door to the Leaky Cauldron opened, glad to see that Sabrina hadn't arrived too long after her. Girls' Day Out
The girls noticing the slight change in Sabrina's appearance made the redhead blush quite a bit. She was almost a professional at playing it cool though, so when she sat back in her chair and rubbed at her eyes - and her cheeks, too - it probably looked like she was just tired. "Yeah, it is, I think it is a peach colour?" She asked, more of a rhetorical question. She had left the tube at home the dormitory, so she didn't quite have a way of knowing. She licked at her lips slightly, and that confirmed it. The taste of peach was evident, and she nodded her head, "Definitely peach. You can borrow it whenever you like! My mum has tons of these back at home. She said she was a brand ambassador, or something." Sabrina shrugged as she said this, not quite fully knowing the meaning of that kind of position. She didn't take the time to pay attention to that kind of stuff.
Sabrina glanced up at the waitress that came by their table. Sabrina listened to Reine's order, her nose scrunching up slightly at the sound of butterbeer. She hadn't tried it before, but her mother and father always did mention to her that she shouldn't drink it until she was older. Glancing over the menu, Sabrina hesitated, "Uh.." Her eyes skimmed over the options. Finally, after a few moments, her mind was made up and she ordered. "Party punch, please."
Once the waitress had jotted it down, the redheaded girl's attention turned onto Rhea and the notepad in front of her, her head tilting slightly. "I haven't seen it either. Have you picked up a new hobby?" She wondered, honestly curious. Sabrina was rather observant - more than she liked to admit - so she thinks she would have noticed if Rhea had taken up writing. Wouldn't she?

Girls' Day Out
Rhea was wearing her own lip gloss, a dark red that almost matched the color of her hair. When Sabrina suggested that they could borrow it whenever, Rhea grinned and nodded. "That would be nice. I trust your fashion thoughts."
Then their attention switched to what drinks each other the others would get. Reine, like herself, got a butterbeer. Sabrina got a party punch instead. Rhea raised an eyebrow at her choice. What was that? She'd never heard of it.
When the drinks had arrived, the topic switched yet again. This time, both girls had noticed Rhea tucking away her notebook. Rhea didn't know that her putting away her notebook would cause such a flurry of questions to be thrown at her. But, deciding that there was no harm in telling, she took her notebook out again and opened to a random page. On it was revealed her latest masterpiece - it was unfinished, but Rhea had decided to call it 'Hide the Thunder.' The name had automatically come to her, at the same time that the starter to the piece had. They'd come to her in a dream, to be precise.
"It's just a little something I work on from time to time," Rhea explained. She showed the two girls her sheet music. "I compose music. For some reason, I'm able to hear what I'm writing without needing an actual piano in front of me. Which comes in handy sometimes."
The redhead grinned sheepishly and flipped through all the pages, showing them that she'd already filled up half of it and still wasn't done. "This particular piece that I'm working on right now, I call Hide the Thunder."

Girls' Day Out
It made Sabrina a little giddy that Rhea trusted her fashion choices. She had forgotten what it felt like to make new friends, and it honestly made her feel a little more secure now that she had these girls as her own. The drinks were served, and Sabrina eagerly rose the glass with the straw to her lips, taking a sip. The fruity taste felt like it exploded on her taste buds, and she hummed happily after one sip. Yes, this was definitely the right choice for the girl. She placed her glass down, and paid attention to Rhea as she began to explain her notebook that Sabrina and Reine had inquired about.
"You compose music?!" Sabrina asked, a little excited, her jaw dropped just the slightest bit, and she instantly had further interest in the notebook Rhea had with her. Her eyes followed every page that the girl flipped through, her eyebrows raising fully since it seemed that she had filled up the whole book - but she stopped halfway through, on the last piece she had written, supposedly. And Sabrina's guess was definitely correct in that sense. Rhea introduced the piece to her as 'Hide the Thunder'.
Now, Sabrina couldn't read sheet music for her life, but she darn well tried. Her eyes skimmed over the different notes, and some words in an unfamiliar language to her. It looked like Italian, but she couldn't be too sure. She almost wished she knew how to read music, so then she would be able to at least have a chance at listening to the piece in her mind. But alas, her first bad luck of the year had approached. "It looks really good!" She insisted, leaning back in her seat. Somehow, she had begun to lead forward in order to better read the sheet of music without noticing she was doing so.
"I wish I could read sheet music." She sighed, resting her chin in her palm and her elbow on the edge of the table, before picking up her glass again and raising it until the straw met her lips. She furrowed her eyebrows as she placed her glass down, puffing out a breath of air. "I think the only thing I can do well is Quidditch."
