Hornbeam wood: Hornbeam selects for its life mate the talented witch or wizard with a single, pure passion, which some might call obsession (though I prefer the term ‘vision’), which will almost always be realized. Hornbeam wands adapt more quickly than almost any other to their owner’s style of magic, and will become so personalised, so quickly, that other people will find them extremely difficult to use even for the most simple of spells. Hornbeam wands likewise absorb their owner’s code of honour, whatever that might be, and will refuse to perform acts - whether for good or ill - that do not tally with their master’s principles. Phoenix Feather: This is the rarest core type. Phoenix feathers are capable of the greatest range of magic, though they may take longer than either unicorn or dragon cores to reveal this. They show the most initiative, sometimes acting of their own accord, a quality that many witches and wizards dislike. Phoenix feather wands are always the pickiest when it comes to potential owners, for the creature from which they are taken is one of the most independent and detached in the world. These wands are the hardest to tame and to personalise, and their allegiance is usually hard won.

Looks: Eliza is truly the odd one out in all of the family photos. While Charlie and Logan look like mini versions of Amelia, Eliza is the complete opposite. Eliza looks exactly like her father, Alexander. Following her Irish roots her skin is very fair. She has brown hair cut into a short bob. Her eyes are grey with a hint of blue. She has an upturned nose and thin lips. She hit an early growth spurt when she was younger and stands at around 152 cm. She's slightly taller than most girls her age but will probably level out once she gets older.

Positive Traits: Eliza is a really chipper girl. Basically your stereotypical extrovert. She always needs to be around people and gets bummed out when she's by herself. She's really bubbly and confident, always ready to be in the spotlight. She cares about the people she's close to and will always try to put a smile on their faces.

Negative Traits: Eliza being an extrovert is a bit of a double-edged sword. She likes being around people but has trouble doing stuff alone. Whether this is a project or an errand she finds it extremely difficult not to ask a friend to come with her. She also can become a bit too loud, especially for people who are rather reserved. She usually ends up being boisterous and loud before realizing the person is uncomfortable. She also is really bad with accepting someone doesn't want to be friends with her because she feels she needs to be liked by everyone. This is due to the sudden leaving of her father when she was little.

Alexander Murphy was anticipating the birth of the newest family member in the Murphy family. He had given up all the opportunities he had as a Wizard in Northern Ireland to start a life with his new Muggle wife, Amelia Murphy (née McNair).

After only a couple hours into labor the newly wed couple were coming home with their new baby girl. Naming her after Amelia's recently deceased grandmother and the hope for a bright future the girl was given the name Elizabeth Delphia Murphy. Soon after they would give her a million nicknames including Eliza, Liz, Lizzie, and Delphi.

Amelia dropped her current IT career and became a stay-at-home mother for Eliza. Alexander didn't really have any Muggle job qualifications so he quickly got a GED while Amelia was pregnant and now holds a stable position as a elevator repairer.

Just as Eliza was learning to walk the couple brought home Eliza's new baby brother. Eliza doesn't really remember Charlie as a baby since she herself was a baby but when they became toddlers they grew an unbreakable bond. Charlie learned how to walk and talk much faster than Eliza and soon became a sort of child prodigy. This probably would've distanced most relationships but it just made their's stronger.

Now Alexander never really liked showing his family that he was a Wizard since he wanted to raise his family as Muggles. Charlie and Eliza knew he was a Wizard but that was about it. Alexander hoped that they wouldn't show signs of being Wizards but only time would tell. During Christmas when Eliza was five she woke up first when all the lights were off. She got really excited and starting yelling up and down the halls that it was Christmas. Suddenly every single light and appliance in the apartment turned on at once. Needless to say Amelia and Alexander were very surprised.

Eliza was around seven years old and about to finish Primary 3. Alexander had gotten a job offer down in Ireland. That was normal, Alexander traveled for work a lot and Amelia normally took care of the children.

Eliza was playing with Charlie when Amelia came in with a special book. She sat the two of them down and they read how they would be getting a new brother or sister. Eliza and Charlie were excited to have another person to play with.

Amelia was on the phone, about to call Alexander to tell him the good news. She was halfway through telling Alexander when her face went white. She nodded a couple of times before hanging up, retreating to her bedroom. Neither Charlie nor Eliza knew what happened but they could feel a storm approaching.

Over the next couple of months Charlie and Eliza were stuck in stuffy outfits in courtroom after courtroom. She didn't really know what was happening but neither Amelia nor Alexander were happy. Next thing she knew her father was gone and she never heard from her again.

Amelia was now divorced and about to go from having two to three children. Her current education in IT wasn't the best since she wouldn't be able to work from home so she went back to school and took accelerated lessons for a undergraduate's degree in graphic design. She was able to get a stable job at an online retail store and work from home.

Eliza didn't take the loss of her father pretty well. She had lost most of her family during this period. Alexander was obviously gone, Amelia was too busy prepping for the new baby and getting her diploma, and Charlie didn't talk to anyone. She slowly started sinking into despair. She had no one to talk to during the whole summer since she didn't really make friends in school.

Then school came again. Eliza started paying more attention to school since she didn't really have much else to pay attention to. She started making new friends and she grew tight bonds with them. They would hang out with her after school and they made her super happy.

She started getting addicted to the feeling though. Eliza would try her hardest to get her friends to always be with her and her friends were cool with so it went unchecked at the time.

Then Logan was born. As soon as he walked into their lives Charlie opened up like a book. He would always be keen to help and started acting like he used to. The family had a turn for the worst but got through it scot-free. At least on the surface.

Magical Future:

The McNair family had almost completely forgotten about their magical side when they received a mysterious letter one June morning. Opening it they found that Eliza had been accepted into Hogwarts. Eliza was ecstatic but she assumed she wouldn't go. Her mother hated anything magic because it just reminded her of Alexander.

However Amelia seemed to be very keen about the idea of Eliza joining a Wizarding school. This confused both her and Charlie and whenever they asked her about it she would just brush it off. Eliza didn't care though, she was going to be a wizard. She was able to get all the stuff she needed since according to her mother, "her father had left some of his Wizard money in his desk".

Keen to know everything they could about the Wizarding World Eliza and Charlie both read through all the books they purchased. Charlie was so excited because it meant he could maybe be a Wizard too.

Eliza though was still curious about the whole situation. She asked her mother about it and Amelia told her that there's a lot Eliza don't know but she'll Eliza when she's older. Eliza was content with that, she wasn't as prying as her brother was.

Eliza got signed up for the summer camps that occurred at Hogwarts. She was glad that the first years of next year were able to go since she wanted to hop into the Wizarding world as soon as possible.

Alexander Mancio Murphy: Alexander is Eliza's father. He grew up in the Wizarding world down in Ireland and fell in love with Amelia. Eliza used to be on good terms with Alexander but then he disappeared after he and Amelia's divorce.

Amelia Isla McNair: Amelia is Eliza's mother. She was raised a Muggle in Scotland and fell in love with Alexander. She is a very supportive mother even when she can't give all the attention to Eliza due to her two younger brothers. She works as a graphic designer and works at home so she can take care of her children. She has been less cheerful ever sine she's divorced with Alexander.

Charlie Lewis McNair: Charlie is Eliza's little brother. Around a year younger than her they've been together for as long as they can remember. With Charlie's smarts and Eliza's charisma they're the perfect duo, always creating schemes. Charlie tends to notice things faster than Eliza and has noticed Eliza's unhealthy addiction with being around people.

Logan Oliver McNair: Logan is Eliza's younger brother. Being four years old he doesn't have as a strong of a bond with Eliza as Charlie does. However they still love each other and Logan makes Eliza laugh whenever he's with her, whether that's intentional or not is a different story.
