The Irony of the Remembrall
✧
It was quite the cloudy day outside, nearly the opposite of what Alice would have preferred. She loved it sunny, bright, the clouds masking over the sun only for a few moments before drifting away and letting the bright rays shine down again. Nonetheless, she found it useless not to spend her time outside. As she headed outside of the castle and into the courtyard, overlooking the black lake. As she was heading down the stone steps she heard a small clink! from behind her but turned, seeing nothing, and carrying on her way.
She wandered a bit before finding a small, almost empty grassy area to sit and lay out her homework. She was quite excited, not for studying, but to spend some alone time in a patch of green grass surrounded by the giant beautiful grounds. However, upon opening her bag, taking out her things, she felt as if she were missing something.
Alice frowned, biting at her nail and looking through her things again, counting off in her head what was there. Her eyes widened when she realized her remembrall, was indeed, missing. Did I leave it in my room? She wondered. No! I had it at breakfast this morning! She groaned out loud, packing her things up as she realized she now was going to have to retrace her steps all the way up until this morning. With a huff, and a now slightly cranky attitude, she began back towards the castle, her steps slowed as she frantically searched around for the tiny glass ball.

The Irony of the Remembrall
You could find the weirdest looking bugs at Hogwarts... though that wasn't so surprising, given the nature of the school itself. Everything about Hogwarts was weird in the best possible way. On Mac's hand was a caterpillar, dark brown and covered in thick, fluffy hairs. He grinned to himself as it wriggled across his palm. He only wished that he had his phone with him so he could identify it, see what it might turn into when it finally came time for it to spin its cocoon. Would he get in trouble for bringing it back to the dorm and putting it in a jar? Probably not. Either way, it wouldn't stop him from trying. He smiled to himself as he stood up, carefully forming a cup with his hands so the little creature couldn't escape.
As he stepped out of the brush, he nearly walked straight into another student, a familiar looking blonde-haired girl. "Oh, sorry," he mumbled, looking down at the caterpillar in his hands rather than making eye contact. Another Ravenclaw, judging by the colors on her uniform; no wonder she looked familiar. She looked confused, almost frustrated.
"Are you looking for something?" he asked with a quick glance over his shoulder. He felt bad for her. If she lost something on the trail, there was no telling where it might be now. The Grounds were so overwhelmingly big; trying to find anything out here would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
