Echo was looking through the Library, Currently looking for books on Magical Beasts and Plants, when he suddenly hears a large CRASH, being the kind of person who is, very curious, he decides to take a look, making his way in the direction he heard the noise, when he hears another, less loud Crash, it doesnt take much longer to find the source after that.

A Frustrated looking Ravenclaw girl, looking like she was about to pull her own hair out, he approaches her "Easy there, Doing that will only make things worse" he says giving a hand by carefully picking up a book that was ontop of her and setting it on a nearby table, "I mean, this is a School, there's no reason to not ask for help." he says, giving a slight smile and extending his arm to help pull you up.

He gives a little look at the students in the back who had looked at you, muttering to each other "If your not going to help, then can you keep to yourself's please!" He says, shaking his head "Slytherins I tell you, cant help but they always can harm you know." He says, Giving a nervous chuckle "Names Echo by the way, Ms Whoever you are."

"Oh hi Echo! Thank you for... that. I wasn't brave enough to..."

Holly looks at the Senior Slytherins and lets out a little sigh.

"Y-you're also a First grader... I saw you in the sorting ceremony yesterday... this makes sense... i heard that the Hufflepuff house members are renowned for their kindness and fairness... that fits you pretty well! Oh yeah... I'm Holly by the way... If you remember the girl who fell asleep during the sorting ceremony... t-that's me..."

Holly takes Echo's hand and gets up from the floor, and looks at her books on the table. They look... soooo thick and large...

"Ugh... Why would i do that? I'll just read them when the time comes."

she thinks to herself before turning to smile at Echo, and looking around the library, wondering what another first grader would be up to in the library on the second day of school. To her suprise, there were actually several younger students walking around, kind of just checking the library out, the dim lighting and the silence makes it feel peaceful and quiet. Being the awkward person she is, and in a poor attempt to break the tension she shrugs.

"All the students here seem to fit perfectly in place... the griffindors have their daring and determined students who give give themselves goals to achieve, Hufflepuff has people like you... caring and full of sportsmanship... and Slytherins well...they're... competitive and I can definitely see that... and Ravenclaw... my housemates all display intelligence in some way... and here i am... just goofing around and messing up in every possible way."

she chuckles a little, looking at Echo.

"Anyway, Echo what are you up to?"

Charlotte hadn't been to the library yet and was impatient to have a look. She pushed the heavy doors and step foot in the library for the first time before stopping mid-way, not believing what she saw.
She had heard of the Hogwarts library but never thought it would seem this magical: the hundreds of narrow rows, the thousands of books were more she could read in a lifetime.

The library was dimly lit and smelled strongly of old paper, which didn't bother Charlotte as much as she thought it would. On each side of her, she could see tall windows giving a breathtaking view of the school grounds and felt as if her eyes filled with stars.

She wandered around the library, zigzagging between the rows, passing her hand on the books as she walked by them. She peered through the shelves and saw many students sat a the tables, probably doing homework. She walked along the main alleyway and saw a girl on the floor and a young boy by her side.

Confused, she approached only to recognise Echo. Once she arrived, the girl was back on her feet and Charlotte saw she was a Ravenclaw.
'Oh, hi there again!' she said smiling but quickly looked back at the girl. She didn't seem too hurt and Charlotte felt relieved.

'Are you okay? What happened?' she asked concerned.

"I-I'm fine... I just kind of tried to hold my books better and lost balance... twice. Thanks for asking though!"

Holly smiles at the girl, seeing that the girl is another Hufflepuff. Echo and her must've met at the Hufflepuff table or their common room, Holly thought. She dusts herself off and takes her sunglasses off her forehead and puts them in her pocket, she thought she probably should since them falling in place seems to always cause problems. Holly makes sure that her robe is semi-tidy again and holds out a hand to the girl.

"Hi. I'm Holly. Holly Frost, it's nice to meet you! Uhhhh w-whats your name?"

her hair was a bit messy from falling and getting pulled on from frustration, and her robe was slightly wrinkled, she had a rather optimistic smile, and started to have the thought of wanting to be in the Hufflepuff house, that thought disappeared shortly though as she came to the realization that house doesn't matter, what matters is who you really are and how you act.

"Well, I might need you two to save me my two biggest rivals... Boredom... and my own stupidity. You two want to y'know... help each other out... maybe have a few parties every now and then? C'mon... It'll be fun! trust me!"

Holly asked in her mix of a British and American accent. She felt like sunshine and rainbows, all the people she met and actually talked to were all caring and friendly, her future was looking pretty bright.

Charlotte smiled as she shook the girl's hand.
'I'm Charlotte. Charlotte Cadunt, nice to meet you too! ' she said as she shook her hand gently.

Charlotte hadn't met any Ravenclaws but had only heard rumours about their common room. She headed towards a table nearby and put her robes around the chair and rolled her sleeves up as she looked at the three worn out by time, thick books displayed on the table.

"Well, I might need you two to save me my two biggest rivals... Boredom... and my own stupidity. You two want to y'know... help each other out... maybe have a few parties every now and then? C'mon... It'll be fun! trust me!"

Charlotte looked at the girl with a sad smile. She truly found it heart breaking to hear someone talk about themselves in such a critical way, and this didn't sound like just a joke to Charlotte. Perhaps she was just oblivious to some second degree humour... She had always been awful with this sort of thing. Nonetheless, she decided it was worth saying.
'Don't say that about yourself! Come on, would a stupid person be in the library, looking at this kind of books?' she bent down a little, looking for their titles and raised her eyebrows 'Ancient Runes? Wow, that does sound a like a pretty stupid subject' she said sarcastically, a friendly smile on her face.
'I'm totally up to anything that isn't boring so... Parties, not so sure though' she chuckled.


Charlotte smiled, happy that every encounter she had had been marvellous. How could someone not like Hogwarts?

Holly smiles at Charlotte.

"Hey Charlotte. Its nice to meet you. Aww cheer up! I'm just goofing around... i mean, thats primarily what gets me into trouble but... uh i guess if you want to refer to 'stupidity' with another word... maybe... clumsiness? I don't know... the point is, everything is A-Ok. I was just taking these books for a quick scan before i attended anything but... i uh... dont really feel like reading them anymore..."

Holly does a little shrug.

Hearing Charlotte's respomse to partying Holly's naughty and mischievous side shows, she does a 'evil smirk' at Charlotte.

"Dont be afraid... we can... kind of ... you know... sort of sneak out of our dorms at night, maybe one day when we dont have tests and have a awesome secret night party somewhere unseen... my dear Charlotte..."

She puts her hands on Charlotte's shoulders, looking into Charlotte's eyes with her greyish blue eyes.

"Some rules, are made to be broken."

Holly pauses for a moment, just long enough to see the expression of being weirded out on Charlotte's face and bursts into laughter, breaking the odd tention.

"Im just messing around... sure! Anything that's not boring would be amazing!"

All Holly wanted, are friends, and to belong. She turns to look at Echo.

"Hey Echo.. Does it sound good to you? We can just... kin of hang out every few days... I'll be great. i promise."

She asks with a loads of excitement in her voice.

Charlotte was quite confused by Holly and found her quite... odd? as she laughed somewhat awkwardly. She found her likeable but rather weird, a true Ravenclaw she thought.
But that didn't stop her from finding her weidly nice. It took Charlotte a minute or two to figure what to say and answered still not having figured it out.
'So, what do mean when you say "not so boring"?' she chuckled. 'Maybe it's not the same for both of us...' she said as she smiled.

Charlotte had no clue what expect from Holly as she looked at her, still a little confused. Once again, she was scared she was going to get it all wrong, making somewhat of a fool out of herself by not understanding her type of humour. Holly had such a different personality than most of the people she had met, people that were predictable, but that Ravenclaw girl was quite different, and she didn't know if she loved it or hated it. All those thoughts raced through her mind until she shook her head as if to shake those ideas out, certain she was making way to big of a deal out of it. But she couldn't help it, she looked at the girl, not really aware of what was going on around her.

"For actually let me correct that... anything that doesn't involve being alone. Lets just put it that way. I... tend to find fun in taking risks and breaking a little bit of rules... but uh... its only when im alone... i assume being too reckless here would probably get me expelled or end up killing me... so anything would be great as long as you're here. I mean... we can study, talk party, i dont know... practice spells or that sport with broomsticks? Something like that... my point is that. The most important factor is you two."

Holly sounded really desprite for friends since she has been a loner for quite a long time because she acted quite differently to the other kids her age, and she often bored them with 'interesting' lines of computer coding.

"S-so you want to hang out sometime?"

Echo and Charlotte seemed pretty nice, theyre were both hufflepuffs after all, the yellow house famous for being nice and the least toxic, probably the one that features the best sportsmanship, they are trusty friends, people that you definately would want to have by your side when things go pear shaped, they help out in every way, and are generally good friends. Its a good idea to start with Hufflepuffs when looking for friends, her father told her before she got on the train.

A smile illuminated Charlotte's face as she heard Holly.
Holly seemed like a lonely person, trying to find some friends in this immense school, just like most of the people here, and Charlotte had no reason not to accept. She was sweet and somewhat peculiar, and to felt like their personalities were complimentary... After all, it was maybe true that opposites attracted? Charlotte shot a warm smile at her new friend.

'Of course I would like to hang out with you' she said gently, nodding her head slightly.

She put her hands on her shoulders, looking straight into her eyes, mimicking what the girl had done just moments before.
'But no parties for now' she said seriously before laughing.

'Well, I'm gonna go look for an interesting book to read, mind joining me, Frost? You too Echo !' she asked as she started walking towards the row in front of them.
'Or do you prefer I call you Holly?' she asked somewhat awkwardly 'You tell me' turning around to face the girl once more.

She smiled, looking at the endless and uncountable amount of books in this library. Charlotte passed her finger in the books as she read the titles and the authors' names. Surely, in this sea of books in front of her, she could find one interesting enough for one of those sleepless nights, able to make her devour it as fast as she possibly could, wishing she were part of the story.
