An Extension of Power  Finished
A wand, that was what I had come here for. An extension of my will and power. An artifact imbued with the magic necessary to make the world bend to my will. At first the good wandmaker offered me wands made with a core of unicorn hair, not that such a core was lacking in magic as it was not but it lacked for power. It was something I craved as my fingers wrapped around the long, slender shaft of the wand and I felt the cool wood against my warm palm. I could feel the wand thrum with magical intent but not power. The wand rejected me and I the wand, we were not meant to be.

The next, a core of phoenix feather. I felt excited as I snatched the wand and felt the carved hardwood. I would have accepted the wand had it accepted me. No-no, I had to move on.

The third and final wand caught my attention, before my flesh met the dark wand I could feel my heart pound beneath my breast. "This is my wand," I insisted before I ever even touched the wood. The wand felt warm in my hand unlike the others, hot even. I could feel it thrum in my hand, sending a sense of sparks up my arm.

A core of dragon heartstring I am told.

This wand chose me but I also chose my wand.

"I need look no further," I announced as I stood up and produce a pair of galleons from my pocket and handed them to the shop keep. "My name is Victor Strauss," I lied "excited to spend my first days in the Durmstrang Institute. I thank you."
