Good and Ill Together
Frost Cira was one of the nicest people Alexx knew. All the Hufflepuffs that she knew were kindhearted and gentle creatures. Well, perhaps not some of the boys. They tended to be clumsy and dopey. But that was fine! She loved her friends. And when she thought about it, a lot of them were clad in the yellow colors. Why was it that she got on with them so well, anyway? Was it their kind nature and ability to make a friend of anyone, or was it a mere coincidence?@Frost Cira
Building friendships weren't easy. Alexx put a lot of effort into certain things, however, she lacked a lot of what was required when it comes to making friends. There wasn't that spark that was there. She was kind, yes. She had patience. She was punctual. But she lacked things such as sympathy. It was hard for her to connect with people in that way. Her cold attitude might have turned some people off. In fact, she was absolutely sure that it did.
This is why Alexx considered herself to be... Not exactly "bad". Just not great. She considered herself to have ugly qualities when it came to her emotions. However, no one ever had the guts to mention it to her. Well, Quinn did, but he made it sound all beautiful and romantic. He made it sound like it was a good thing. And maybe it was. Maybe she was beautiful in her own means, but that didn't matter. What mattered to her was if she was being who she needed to be when it came to her friends.
So when she needed to rebuild past connections, Frost Cira was her pick. She started there. Alexx had been focusing too much on herself for her own good. Life got busy. The Prefect position grabbed her by her schedule and threw her around at its will. She felt bad, for sure. Alexx had little time to catch up with anyone. Whether she was running from classroom to classroom, begging each Professor for an interview so that she could produce an amazing article for the next edition of the Headliner, or whether she was out on the Quidditch field, chasing Quaffles as if her life depended on it, or even just patrolling the dunfeons, waiting for a first year to be caught attempting to sneak out. Everything she did- timely. Punctual. With no room for friends.
Rosalie, as always, was with her. Right on her shoulder as she went to greet the red-headed badger. "Frost. It's been a moment." She greeted, a soft smile on her face. She was quiet, even a little reserved, her arms crossed in a manner that said she didn't wish to be spoken to. That wasn't true at all. Alexx was just in a weird point of her life. The point where every budding teenager begins to get awkward. Alexx was a quiet little girl growing up, it was by nature for sure. But then, in the beginning of this school year, she got this undeniable confidence. But then... puberty threw her for a loop. It made her... weird.
She turned her head to smile at Rosalie, and then to her friend. "I just wanted to check up on you. Have you met Rosalie?" It was small talk for sure. Using Rosalie as a conversation starter. She didn't mean to, it was just that she happened to be around at all times. So, using her as a means of conversation was just convenient. Besides, the pink ball of fluff was certainly cute. Everyone liked a Pygmy Puff, after all.
chill babe. we're all bad in someone's story.
Good and Ill Together
Getting older meant a lot of things were going to change. Especially for little magic people who weren't so little anymore. This included Frost, who was still undoubtedly her stubbornly childish self. She was technically a teen now, thirteen to be exact, and she was growing taller and her face matured just the slightest bit. But it also included some of her friends, which in this case happened to be Alexx Séverin.
The young redheaded girl was understanding of her friend's busyness, Alexx was always caught up in strings of things to do since her becoming a prefect, a good prefect nonetheless, she was very glad the Hogwarts staff had someone like her on the team, and thrown herself into activities like quidditch and the Hogwarts Headliner. But she would be lying if she had said that she was content with how her current relationship with Alexx was going, what she really wanted was to keep building upon it instead of just wishing and only knowing her from a few memories. There was something about the young french girl that made Frosty that much more eager to spend more time with her, though she always feels this way for many people, Alexx just raised the bar a bit.
The invitation to come and reconnect with her made her smile, and she was obviously more than happy to accept. Wasn't it always good to meet up with someone again? At least to her it was. It quite possibly could've been one of her favorite things to do. She may have been naive and admittedly a bit dumb, but at least she was pleasant enough for people to be around. The contrast between Alexx and Frost was like something you would see of a 'SlytherPuff' friendship, which was always quite nice. And truthfully, the young Cira girl liked the certain 'aesthetic' that came with her and Alexx's friendship.
When she had greeted her, Frost beamed out of the sheer happiness that seemed to be forever tugging at her, showing itself in everything she did, even had to resist the urge to hug Alexx. Though she did appear to not want to be talked to, the redhead went against her better judgment and went past it. She nodded at her statement. "It sure has, and I hope you've been doing well. I've been meaning to check up on you too, but I didn't want to disturb you since you're usually busy." It felt nice to be here talking to her, Frost hoped that Alexx wasn't leaving her life anytime soon, and very much so. "Rosalie? No, I haven't, but now I have." Smiling brightly, she gave a small wave of her hand toward the pygmy puff. "I've been meaning to get a pet of my own too. Do you think I should get an owl? I'm leaning toward getting one." Small talk wasn't unpleasant to her, though she had met many others who despised it.
Looking up at Alexx, it had occurred to her that Alexx too was growing, she was now a couple inches taller than Frosty and it made her realize that almost everyone her age was going through changes, just like her. It was odd to think about the future that was nearing her more and more each day as it passed. "We're getting pretty tall right? I knew I had some growy genes in me. I mean, I remember being like this big." At her last sentence, Frost hovered her hand about three feet above the ground.psst are you proud? i made the little bee thingy myself :p
