17 July 1992, 12:05: Olphie Camille Bercegeay made her bright entrance into the world. The brown-haired, blue-eyed babe would be the first of ten for Cecily and Corentin Bercegeay, but in that moment, she was their shining star. While the parents cooed over their newborn, they declared to the nurse that she was to be named Elphie, after Cecily's childhood friend, Elphaba. It was in a great oversight that the nurse wrote Olphie instead of Elphie, so that though her physical birth was mere minutes before, Olphie truly made her entrance in that moment.

Olphie grew up in London in an average home, as average as one's home could be when you had nine younger brothers and sisters. In childhood, her parents noticed an lack of memory for her peer's names, ironic given how her name came to be. It was at a young age that Olphie was deemed "batty," though she was none the wiser to such a term.

The child made herself known with her bold personality and affinity for wild outfits. As she grew, it would be clear that she would be of average height and possess a non-athletic, slightly pudgy frame. She began wearing make-up at a young age and refused to leave the family home without her nails done as a toddler. As the family grew, Olphie had to take her personal style into her own hands and became quite talented at the craft of applying one's face.

It was much to the family's surprise when Olphie expressed magic and was thus invited to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Having had no exposure to magic previously, Olphie was launched into a world more vibrant than her wildest clothes. Her favorite moment was when she bought her wand, a 23,1 cm chestnut wood and phoenix feather stick. In later years, it would be a hard decision on which piece of wood she liked more: wand or broom. The broom has an preference for Transfiguration spells, so Olphie did show some interest in her Transfiguration texts prior to school.

Olphie attended Hogwarts in the Slytherin House. Amazed with magic, she instantly felt a connection with the act of Flying and thus, the sport of Quidditch. A Muggle could not dream of flying except in airplane, so she remembers her first Flying class with great fondness and will often launch into conversations of the memory. Olphie led quite an uninteresting time at Hogwarts; most notably, she played as a beater for the school team. She wasn’t bad at Quidditch, but she was not remarkable by any means; she mainly was let onto the team due to lack of interest the year she tried out. However, she was well-known for being quite knowledgeable about the history of flight and broom games. Olphie also was relatively successful in school, particularly Transfiguration, though she was, of course, most passionate about Flying. It is worth noting that only a handful of her younger siblings attended Hogwarts, though none attended while she was there.

Upon graduation, Olphie knew that her sole destiny was to become a Quidditch professional, so the ambitious witch reached out to every Quidditch team for an interview. Her favorite team was and still remains the Holyhead Harpies. Even though she was not any team's first choice, Olphie harassed the Harpies enough that they decided to allow her to be on reserve just so they could stop getting her to be a bother. She played in a few games in her nine years on the team; what she considers was the most notable one when the Harpies won against the Montrose Magpies, 320-20. Olphie did nothing monumental in that game, though she will tell you otherwise.

During this time, Olphie remained the quirky, slightly erratic woman that she had been as a girl. She still showed a fondness for loud clothes, preferring Muggle wear over robes, save for her Quidditch robes, of course. The only regret she had of her time as a member of the Harpies was that she did not find love. This fact was quite shocking to her due to the popularity she (thought she) had. She is eager to experience romance and is prone to flirtations in her own Olphie way.

After nine years, Olphie decided she was too old to remain on the team, so she looked for a career change. She decided to interview at Hogwarts as Flying professor as she felt that Hogwarts would be remiss without her incredible insights. Though she may seem unqualified, Olphie is incredibly self-assured and confident. What she lacks in skill, she makes up for in knowledge - her lessons will, untraditionally, involve very little time for Flying as though she talks a lot about how great she is, deep (very deep) down she knows she is not that great and does not wish to give students opportunity to think otherwise.

She remains a brown-haired, blue-eyed with with a slightly stocky frame, seemingly unnatural to that of a typical Quidditch player. Her nails are always done, - if they are not done, she is likely indisposed - her face perfectly made up, and she still prefers the wild clothing of her youth to regular robes. On lessons that do not involve her Flying, she would be apt to not wear her Quidditch robes. Olphie is particularly eager for any future balls and has many dress robes lined up for the occasions.

Olphie is eager to begin her teaching career at Hogwarts and though she misses Slytherin House, looks forward to working with the Ravenclaws. While her personality and lack of memory for names may make her quite unpopular, she will make up for it by prioritizing those who show a true passion for the sport. She is eager to referee Quidditch games and understand the mysterious of the castle even further in this professor role.
