One step closer...
"Ah...Mr Strait, is it? It's very nice to see you. You are here for a wand, yes?" Lucas looked around the shop...this whole place was weird. With all these strange shops and folk, he decided he would get his wand last, so it would feel special. He jumped slightly as the voice came out from nowhere, and Ollivander stepped out from the back...Lucas admitted, he sort of expected more Wizards to look like wizened old men, not regular people. But this whole world was weird, so something had to be normal.
"A-Ah...yes! I'm here to get a wand...w-which one should I get?" Ollivander smiled, shaking his head. He walked over to one of the huge shelves of wands. "The wand chooses the wizard, so let's see...here. 31,9 centimeters, Aspen Wood, and Unicorn Hair...slightly bendy, excellent for charms. May you?" Lucas blinked, then gasped, nodding. He took the wand, tilting his head as he felt the wood...he gave it a little flick, causing some boxes to cause tumbling down. The wand was quickly taken away. "Ah...no, definitely not. Here...let's try this one. 39,3 centimeters, Holly Wood and a Pheonix Feather, nice and firm...a strange combination, but you never know what could happen. Lucas blinked, nodding...he swished the wand, and breaking an ink bottle. Once again, the wand was taken back. "No no, definitely not. Silly of me...ah, maybe this? 35,6 centimeters, Walnut wood, Dragon Heartstring. Pliable, very powerful, attracted to honorable wizards that show great dexterity with magic." Lucas gulped, taking the wand...he felt a warm, floaty feeling within him...he flicked the wand, and brilliant sparks flew out, much to his surprise. "Ah, wonderful! Seems this is the right wand for you...oh, is that Marcus Rosenbaum out there? I remember his wand like it was yesterday...38,4 centimeters, Pear wood, and unicorn hair...flexible, wonderful for Transfiguration, and lasts a long time as well. Well, time for payment..." Lucas was busy staring at his wand, his heart still fluttering...but then it sank. Honorable, shows great dexterity with magic...he didn't even know how to do a spell! Well, maybe he'll learn later...for now, it was time to purchase the wand, and get ready for Hogwarts.
